Arrow Tokugawa Shogunate

Last samurai (2003) ..
Quote:
The Tokugawa shogunate, also known as the Tokugawa bakufu (徳川幕府) and the Edo bakufu (江戸幕府), was the last feudal Japanese military government which existed between 1603 and 1868.. The heads of government were the shoguns, and each was a member of the Tokugawa clan.. The Tokugawa shogunate ruled from Edo Castle and the years of the shogunate became known as the Edo period..This time is also called the Tokugawa period or pre-modern (Kinsei (近世)...

Shogunate Flag..

Following the Sengoku Period of "warring states", the central government had been largely reestablished by Oda Nobunaga during the Azuchi-Momoyama period.. After the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, central authority fell to Tokugawa Ieyasu..Society in the Tokugawa period, unlike the shogunates before it, was supposedly based on the strict class hierarchy originally established by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.. The daimyo, or lords, were at the top, followed by the warrior-caste of samurai, with the farmers, artisans, and traders ranking below.. In some parts of the country, particularly smaller regions, daimyo and samurai were more or less identical, since daimyo might be trained as samurai, and samurai might act as local rulers...

Japanese artillery unit Tokyo, in 1882...

The Shogun had the military power of Japan and was more powerful than the emperor, who was, titularly, a religious leader..Despite the establishment of the shogunate, the Emperor in Kyoto was still the legitimate ruler of Japan.. Regardless of the political title of the emperor, the "shoguns of the Tokugawa family controlled Japan".. The administration (体制 taisei) of Japan was a task given by the Imperial Court in Kyoto to the Tokugawa family, which they returned to the court in the Meiji Restoration..The emperor would occasionally be consulted on various policies and the shogun even made a visit to Kyoto to visit the emperor..Foreign affairs and trade were monopolized by the shogunate, yielding a huge profit.. Foreign trade was also permitted to the Satsuma and the Tsushima domains.. Rice was the main trading product of Japan during this time..From 1603 onward, Japan started to participate actively in foreign trade..After 1635 and the introduction of Seclusion laws, inbound ships were only allowed from China, Korea, and the Netherlands..Followers of Christianity first began appearing in Japan during the 16th century.. Oda Nobunaga, however, embraced Christianity and the Western technology that was imported with it, such as the musket. He also saw it as a tool he could use to suppress Buddhist forces..The shogun directly held lands in various parts of Japan. These were known as bakufu chokkatsuchi; since the Meiji period, the term tenryō has become synonymous..The gaikoku bugyō were administrators appointed between 1858 and 1868.. They were charged with overseeing trade and diplomatic relations with foreign countries, and were based in the treaty ports of Nagasaki and Kanagawa (Yokohama)..The Late Tokugawa Shogunate (Japanese: 幕末 Bakumatsu) was the period between 1853 and 1867, during which Japan ended its isolationist foreign policy called sakoku and modernized from a feudal shogunate to the Meiji government..It is at the end of the Edo period and preceded the Meiji era.. The major ideological and political factions during this period were divided into the pro-imperialist Ishin Shishi (nationalist patriots) and the shogunate forces, including the elite shinsengumi (newly selected corps) swordsmen...

Nara Prefecture region is considered one of the oldest regions in Japan spanning thousands of years.. The present-day Nara Prefecture as it exists now officially was created in 1887, making it independent of Osaka Prefecture..It is certain that there was a political force established at the foot of Mount Miwa in the east of Nara Basin, seeking unification of most parts in Japan from the third century until the fourth century, though the process was not well documented. At the dawn of history, Yamato was clearly the political center of Japan... By 7th century, Nara accepted the many immigrants including refugees of Baekje who had escaped from war disturbances of the southern part of the Korean peninsula..The temples in Nara remained powerful beyond the move of political capital, thus giving Nara a synonym of "Nanto" (meaning "South Capital") as opposed to Heian-kyō, situated in the north...

Guns N' Roses - Live and Let dye..

At the rise of the Minamoto to its ruling seat and the opening of Kamakura Shogunate, Nara enjoyed the support of Minamoto no Yoritomo toward restoration..The Nanboku-chō period, starting in 1336, brought more instability to Nara.. As Emperor Go-Daigo chose Yoshino as his base, a power struggle arose in Kōfuku-ji with a group supporting the South and another siding the North court..Later the whole province of Yamato got drawn into the confusion of the Sengoku period.. Tōdai-ji was once again set on fire in 1567, when Matsunaga Hisahide, who was later appointed by Oda Nobunaga to the lord of Yamato Province, fought for supremacy against his former master Miyoshi family..Followed by short appointments of Tsutsui Junkei and Toyotomi Hidenaga by Toyotomi Hideyoshi to the lord, the Tokugawa Shogunate ultimately ruled the city of Nara directly, and most parts of Yamato province with a few feudal lords allocated at Kōriyama, Takatori and other places...

Nara Prefecture is part of the Kansai, or Kinki, region of Japan, and is located in the middle of the Kii Peninsula on the western half of Honshu. Nara Prefecture is landlocked.. It is bordered to the west by Wakayama Prefecture and Osaka Prefecture; on the north by Kyoto Prefecture and on the east by Mie Prefecture..The climate in the rest of the prefecture are mountainous, and especially in the south, with below −5 °C being the extreme minimum in winter.. Heavy rainfall is observed in summer.. The annual accumulated rainfall ranges as much as 3000 to 5000 mm, which is among the heaviest in Japan..There are se7en districts in Nara, which are further divided into 15 towns and 12 villages..The culture of Nara is tied to the Kansai region in which it is located..

"Oh My Darling, Clementine" is an American western folk ballad in 87.87D trochaic metre usually credited to Percy Montrose (1884), although it is sometimes credited to Barker Bradford..It is used as background music in another John Ford film, The Grapes Of Wrath, also starring Henry Fonda..A North Korean musical movie from 1972, The Flower Girl, used the song's melody as its main theme.. This musical was said to have been written by Kim Il-sung..The melody is used in "Xin Nian Hao Ya", a Chinese New Year song..In the 1981 film Death Hunt, Charles Bronson's character sings part of the song to himself alone in his log cabin as his pursuers listen on from outside..An eerie version of this is used in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, in a Vine promoting the 5th episode of the second season of this episodic point and click..This American folk song is commonly performed in the key of F Major..Clementine, (Citrus ×clementina), a hybrid between a mandarin orange and a sweet orange, so named in 1902; sometimes known as a "Thanksgiving Orange" or "Christmas orange", as its peak season is winter; an important commercial mandarin orange form, having displaced mikans in many markets...

The Nippon Budokan is located in Kitanomaru Park in the center of Tokyo, 2 minutes' walking distance from Kudanshita Subway Station, and near Yasukuni Shrine.. This 42 m (140 ft) high imposing octagonal structure holds 14,471 people (arena seats: 2,946, 1st floor seats: 3,199, 2nd floor seats: 7,846, standee: 480)..The building is modeled after Yumedono (Hall of Dreams) in Hōryū-ji in Nara..Location 2-3 Kitanomarukōen..Often called the "political center" of the country, Chiyoda, literally meaning "field of a thousand generations", inherited the name from the Chiyoda Castle (the other name for Edo Castle, today's Imperial Palace)..With the seat of the Emperor in the Imperial Palace at the ward's center, there are many government institutions & 15 embassies...

Yoshinori Sakai/Olympic cauldron...

Though it still functions as a venue for big musical events, its primary purpose is for Japanese martial arts (indeed, the name literally means "Japan Martial Arts Hall")..Now, the Budokan is mostly used by Pro Wrestling Noah, who often hold major events there..On June 28, 1969 "Champion Carnival" Oriental, in the main event Tadashi Sawamura has his first successful defense of Oriental Light Welterweight title..The Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki hybrid rules fight held at the Budokan in 1976 is seen as a forerunner to mixed martial arts..K-1 has held events at the Nippon Budokan the box office in 1994 and raising an army second time, using K-1 WORLD GP in the opening round in 2004..All Japan Judo Championship was held at the Nippon Budokan in 2002. It will host the judo competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics..Many place names in Tokyo derive from Edo Castle...

The Toranomon...

The Beatles were the first rock group to perform here, in a series of shows in June/July 66; their appearances were met with opposition from those who felt the appearance of a western pop group would defile the martial arts arena..In July 73 Japanese TV recorded the Santana performance at Budokan.. Cheap Trick and Bob Dylan used the arena to record their performances..Eric Clapton described the Tokyo audience as "almost overappreciative" in interviews promoting his own live Just 1 Night (80)..Stormtroopers of Darth released a live album titled Live at Budokan (92), though the title was in jest and was recorded at famed New York City venue The Ritz..The National Memorial Service for War Dead is held with the attendance of the Prime Minister, the Emperor and the Empress annually in Budokan on August 15, the day of Japan's surrender..Diana Ross performed and taped her "Here and Now" TV special in 91 to a sold out audience..A tattoo is a military performance..The term dates from around 1600 during the Thirty Years' War in the Low Countries (Belgium and the Netherlands) phrase doe den tap toe ("turn off the tap")..Drummers from the Garrison were sent out into the towns at 21:30 hrs (9:30PM) each evening to inform the soldiers that it was time to return to barracks..The Dutch fortresses were garrisoned with mercenary troops that were under federal command..Over the years, the process became more of a show and often included the playing of the first post at 21:30 hrs and the last post at 22:00..Karate Budokan International was founded July 17, 66 by Chew Choo Soot in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia..During one of his scheduled visits, the young Chew discovered the officer practicing movements which we now know to be karate ‘Kata’..After the end of the Second World War, Chew went to Japan and Okinawa to further his karate training, as well as several trips to Taiwan to learn kung-fu and oriental weapons from a number of old kung-fu Masters of China...

Brodie is known for her tendency to stray from the hard knowledge of the school's curriculum, to romanticize fascist leaders like Benito Mussolini and Francisco Franco, and to believe herself to be in the prime of life.. Brodie devotes her time and energy to her four special 12-year-old junior school girls, called the Brodie Set: Sandy, Monica, Jenny & Mary...

A prime or prime number is a natural number that has exactly two distinct natural number divisors: 1 and itself..Prime (Latin for "first")..In mathematics, specifically in abstract algebra, a prime element of a commutative ring is an object satisfying certain properties similar to the prime numbers in the integers and to irreducible polynomials..Prime 3-manifold, a 3-manifold that cannot be written as the connect sum of 2 nontrivial 3-manifolds..A manifold is prime if it cannot be presented as a connected sum of more than one manifold, none of which is the sphere of the same dimension..In mathematics, and in particular model theory, a prime model is a model which is as simple as possible..Prime time, a block of slots each evening in broadcast programming..

Yokohama was a small fishing village up to the end of the feudal Edo period, when Japan held a policy of national seclusion, having little contact with foreigners..A major turning point in Japanese history happened in 1853–54, when Commodore Matthew Perry arrived just south of Yokohama with a fleet of American warships, demanding that Japan open several ports for commerce, and the Tokugawa shogunate agreed by signing the Treaty of Peace and Amity..It was initially agreed that one of the ports to be opened to foreign ships would be the bustling town of Kanagawa-juku (in what is now Kanagawa Ward) on the Tōkaidō, a strategic highway that linked Edo to Kyoto and Osaka.. However, the Tokugawa shogunate decided that Kanagawa-juku was too close to the Tōkaidō for comfort, and port facilities were instead built across the inlet in the sleepy fishing village of Yokohama..Prime parry, a parry form in fencing...

USS Prime is the name of 2 ships of the U.S. Navy..Perry was very concerned with the education of naval officers and helped develop an apprentice system that helped establish the curriculum at the US Naval Academy..Perry commanded the USS Shark, a schooner with 12 guns, in 1821–1825.. In 1763, when Britain possessed Florida, the Spanish contended that the Florida Keys were part of Cuba and North Havana.. Certain elements within the US felt that Key West (which was then named Cayo Hueso, meaning "Bone Key" could potentially be the "Gibraltar of the West" because it guarded the northern edge of the 90 miles (140 km) wide Straits of Florida—the deep water route between the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico..During the American occupation, Yokohama was a major transshipment base for American supplies and personnel, especially during the Korean War.. After the occupation, most local U.S. naval activity moved from Yokohama to an American base in nearby Yokosuka..Yokohama was rebuilt, only to be destroyed again by thirty-odd U.S. air raids during World War II..An estimated se7en or 8,000 thousand people were killed in a single morning on May 29, 1945 in what is now known as the Great Yokohama Air Raid, when B-29s firebombed the city and in just one hour and nine minutes reduced 42% of it to rubble..The city's tram and trolleybus system was abolished in 72, the same year as the opening of the first line of Yokohama Municipal Subway..Construction of Minato Mirai 21 ("Port Future 21"), a major urban development project on reclaimed land, started in 83.. Minato Mirai 21 hosted the Yokohama Exotic Showcase in 1989, which saw the first public operation of maglev trains in Japan and the opening of Cosmo Clock 21, then the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. The 860m-long Yokohama Bay Bridge opened in the same year..In 93, Minato Mirai saw the opening of the Yokohama Landmark Tower, the second tallest building in Japan..The 2002 FIFA World Cup final was held in June at the International Stadium Yokohama..The city was designated by government ordinance on September 1, 1956..Yokohama's foreign population of nearly 78,000 includes Chinese, Koreans, Filipinos, and Brazilians...

The Mitsubishi company was established as a shipping firm by Yatarō Iwasaki in 1870.. In 1873, its name was changed to Mitsubishi Shokai..The name Mitsubishi (三菱) consists of 2 parts: "mitsu" meaning "3" and "hishi" (which becomes "bishi" under rendaku) meaning "water caltrop" (also called "water chestnut"), and hence "rhombus", which is reflected in the company's logo.. It is also translated as " 3 diamonds"..Jen Phillips and daughters aged se7en and 3 give heartbreaking farewell to PC Dave Phillips as detectives question 6 people in connection with murder..The “best daddy in the whole wide world” was PC Dave Phillips, the 34-year-old Merseyside Police officer murdered in the line of duty on Moonday when he was mown down and killed by a red Mitsubishi pick-up..

In 1881 the company bought into coal mining by acquiring the Takashima Mine..(Iwasaki Died of Hungry Ghost February 7, 1885 (aged 50)..followed by Hashima Island in 1890, using the production to fuel their extensive steamship fleet..They also diversified into shipbuilding, banking, insurance, warehousing, and trade..Later diversification carried the organization into such sectors as paper, steel, glass, electrical equipment, aircraft, oil, and real estate..As Mitsubishi built a broadly based conglomerate, it played a central role in the modernization of Japanese industry..During the Second World War, Mitsubishi manufactured military aircraft under the direction of Dr. Jiro Horikoshi was born near the city of Fujioka, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, in 1903..Jiro Horikoshi's first work was the flawed Mitsubishi 1MF10, an experimental aircraft that never passed the prototype stage after some flight tests..The Mitsubishi A6M ("Zero") was a primary Japanese naval fighter in World War II.. It was used by Imperial Japanese Navy pilots throughout the war, including kamikhazi attacks during the later stages..Mitsubishi made use of forced labour during this time period.. Laborers included allied POWs, as well as Chinese citizens..Mitsubishi was involved in the opium trade in China during this period..

Iwasaki was born (January 9, 1835) in a farming family in Aki, Tosa province (Kōchi Prefecture), the great-grandson of a man who had sold his family's samurai status in obligation of debts.. Iwasaki began his career as an employee of the Tosa clan.. The clan had business interests in many parts of Japan..when his father was seriously injured in a dispute with the village headman, the local magistrate refused to hear his case, Iwasaki accused him of corruption.. Iwasaki was sent to prison for se7en months.. After his release, Iwasaki was without a job for a time before finding work as a teacher..Returning to Edo, he socialised with political activists and studied under the reformist Yoshida Toyo, who influenced him with ideas of opening and developing the then-closed nation through industry and foreign trade..He was promoted to the top position at the Tosa clan's trading office in Nagasaki, responsible for trading camphor oil and paper to buy ships, weapons, and ammunition..Following the Meiji Restoration in 1868, which forced the disbandment of the shogunate's business interests, Iwasaki travelled to Osaka and leased the trading rights for the Tosa clan's Tsukumo Trading Company.. The company changed its name to Mitsubishi in 1873...

Tosa was ruled by the Chōsokabe clan (Japanese samurai kin group) during the Sengoku period, and Chōsokabe Motochika briefly unified Shikoku under his rule, although he was reduced to Tosa again by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and dispossessed entirely after Sekigahara..The province was then granted to Yamauchi Kazutoyo..Iwasaki Yatarō (岩崎 弥太郎) childhood home is located in Aki, north of the Aki City Train station off of Route 29 in Inokuchi, Aki-Noradokei Clock (野良時計): Located in Doi along Route 213-There are 10 music monuments, each engraved with a different song of Ryutaro's-Aki Dome is where the Hanshin Tigers practice-Located in Hon-machi, Aki City, is a local sake brewery..The Doyo Washroom is located next to the Aki City Office-The costumes used by yosakoi teams vary widely...The Chōsokabe clan claims descent from Qin Shi Huang who conquered all other Warring States and eventually unified China in 221 BC..Third attempted assassination.. He had numerous concubines but never seemed to name an empress..Another well-known festival held in Aki City is the Candle-Light Festival & Illumination Event...

Ichi the Killer (殺し屋) is a 2001 Japanese movie directed by Takashi Miike, written by Sakichi Sato, and based on Hideo Yamamoto's manga series of the same name.. It portrays a story of feuding yakuza gangs primarily through the actions of a scarred and psychologically damaged man, Ichi ('One'), who is manipulated into assaulting or killing rival faction members, also known as gokudō (極道), are members of transnational organized crime syndicates originating in Japan..The Japanese police, and media by request of the police, call them bōryokudan (暴力団?, "violent groups"), while the yakuza call themselves "ninkyō dantai" (任侠団体 or 仁侠団体, "chivalrous organizations").. The yakuza are notorious for their strict codes of conduct and very organized nature..They have a large presence in the Japanese media and operate internationally with an estimated 103,000 members..Release dates September 14, 2001 (TIFF) December 22, 2001 (Japan)..

Yakuza Full Documentary ヤクザ..

During the formation of the yakuza, they adopted the traditional Japanese hierarchical structure of oyabun-kobun where kobun (子分; foster child) owe their allegiance to the oyabun (親分, foster parent)..In a much later period, the code of jingi (仁義, justice and duty) was developed where loyalty and respect are a way of life..The oyabun-kobun relationship is formalized by ceremonial sharing of sake from a single cup..This ritual is not exclusive to the yakuza-it is also commonly performed in traditional Japanese Shinto weddings, and may have been a part of sworn brotherhood relationships..During the World War II period in Japan, the more traditional tekiya/bakuto form of organization declined as the entire population was mobilised to participate in the war effort and society came under strict military government..However, after the war, the yakuza adapted again..Prospective yakuza come from all walks of life..Many yakuza have full-body tattoos..The most common way of writing irezumi is with the Chinese characters 入れ墨 or 入墨, literally meaning to "insert ink"...

Quote:
The International Paneuropean Union, is the oldest European unification movement.. It began with the publishing of Count Richard Nikolaus von Coudenhove-Kalergi's manifesto Paneuropa (1923), which presented the idea of a unified European State..Coudenhove-Kalergi's parents met when his mother helped the Austro-Hungarian diplomat after he fell off a horse while riding in Japan..Coudenhove-Kalergi (Born 16 November 1894) a member of the Bohemian Coudenhove-Kalergi family and the son of an Austro-Hungarian diplomat and a Japanese mother, was the organisation's central figure and President until his darth 27 July 1972 (aged 77)..

The stars from the EU flag have in recent years been added in the Movement's flag around the traditional sun cross..

European freemason lodges supported his movement, including the lodge Humanitas..According to a masonic report, Coudenhove-Kalergi died of a stroke..His secretary, however, indicated that Coudenhove-Kalergi possibly committed suicide.. In the memoir his secretary wrote, she said his death was kept secret so as not to disappoint those who considered him to be the great visionary of European integration..The presidency was succeeded by Otto von Habsburg..Coudenhove-Kalergi is buried at Gruben near Gstaad.. His grave, covered with wild grapes, is located in a Japanese rock garden in the Swiss Alps..The Duchy of Brabant was a State of the Holy Roman Empire established in 1183..at the beginning of 1924 his friend Baron Louis de Rothschild introduced him to Max Warburg who offered to finance his movement for the next 3 years by giving him 60,000 gold marks..The International Paneuropean Union has 4 main basic principles: liberalism, Christianity, social responsibility, and pro-Europeanism..At the same time, it openly welcomes and acknowledges the contributions of Judaism and Islam whose heritage they share..Nazis considered the Pan-European Union to be under the control of freemasonry..The organisation was prohibited by Nazi Germany in 1933, and was founded again after the Second World War..

Since 1986, Karl Habsburg has been president of the Austrian branch of the Paneuropean Union..In 1961, his father Otto von Habsburg renounced all claims to the Austrian throne, as a necessary legal condition to being allowed to return to Austria..At the time of his birth, (baptised in Pöcking, Bavaria) his father was de facto stateless and possessed a Spanish diplomatic passport, while his mother was a German citizen.. Like his father and siblings, he was banished from Austria for the first years of his life..On 30 November 2000, Karl's father transferred over to him the position of head and sovereign (Grand Master) of the Order of the Golden Fleece..Starnberg and the Hochtaunuskreis regularly compete for the title of Germany's wealthiest district..The House of Lorraine, the main and now only remaining line known as Habsburg-Lorraine, was one of the most important and longest-reigning royal houses in the history of Europe...

Empress Kōjun..
Quote:
Princess Nagako was born ( 6 March 1903 ) in Tokyo, Japan, into one of the Ōke branches of the Imperial House of Japan, which are eligible to provide an heir to the throne of Japan (by adoption)..As a young girl, Nagako attended the Girls' Department of Peers' School in Tokyo (Gakushuin), which was a school set up especially for the daughters of the aristocracy and imperial family..Nagako was betrothed to her distant (but agnatic) cousin, Prince Hirohito, at a very young age, in a match arranged by their parents, in the manner which was usual in Japanese society at that time..Princess Nagako married Crown Prince Hirohito on 26 January 1924 and became Crown Princess of Japan..Over the first decade of marriage, Nagako produced only 4 daughters.. It was only on December 23, 1933, almost ten years after their wedding, that the young couple were blessed with a son, and Japan with an heir, in the birth of Akihito (明仁), the present emperor..

Empress Nagako, First Lady Betty Ford, Emperor Hirohito and President Gerald Ford walking down the Cross Hall towards the East Room..

Her resting place (16 June 2000) is in a mausoleum named Musashino no Higashi no Misasagi..The imperial graveyard in Hachiōji is designed as a semi-natural planted space which mainly consists of woodland, rocks and trees.. In addition to the stone-topped imperial mausolea, it also contains smaller monuments and religious structures, like Torii..Hachiōji (八王子市) is a city in Tokyo, about 40 kilometers west of the center of the 23 special wards..The approach to the Musashi Imperial Graveyard from the Kōshū Kaidō is ined with zelkova and the mausolea planted with cryptomeria (literally "hidden parts") is a monotypic genus of conifer in the cypress family Cupressaceae, formerly belonging to the family Taxodiaceae..It includes only one species,.The tree is called Japanese cedar or red-cedar in English..

Empress Nagako performed her ceremonial duties in a traditional manner.. She initially came to live in the palace during the time when people spoke an archaic imperial form of Japanese that has largely disappeared..Her role required her to attend special ceremonies such as the legendary foundation of the Empire of Japan in 1940 or the conquest of Singapore in 1942..She accompanied Emperor Hirohito on his European tour in 1971 and later on his state visit to the US in 1975.. She became known as the "smiling Empress"..The Order of the Sacred Treasure (瑞宝章 Zuihō-shō) is a Japanese Order, established on 4 January 1888 by Emperor Meiji as the Order of Meiji..The Order of the Elephant ( Elefantordenen) is the highest order of Denmark.. I told him not to mention the elephant..TakeShita led the largest faction in the Liberal Democratic Party..I have sat up all night in the snows, writing a poem to Leah...

She was born as the daughter of Aoyama family, an antiques and oil dealer in Tokyo.. Aoyama family was also a landowner of large estates..She became a Catholic baptized by an anti-masonic Catholic priest, Francois A. Once established, Mitsuko learned French, German, math, geography and history in an attempt to counter the hostility to Heinrich concerning his return with a foreign wife..Mitsuko never again returned to Japan, and when she died in 1941 due to the second stroke in her life, she was buried in the Hietzinger Cemetery, the 13th district of Vienna..

The Aoyama clan held the Sasayama Castle, located at Sasayama, Hyōgo Prefecture, for 123 years during the Edo period.. The first Aoyama lordship of the castle started in 1748, and continued until the castle was torn down in 1871..The clan's origins were in Kōzuke Province; however, members of the family moved to Mikawa Province and served the Matsudaira clan (Tokugawa clan)..The Aoyama became a daimyo family during the Edo period..The chypre fragrances generally fit into the Oriental and Woody family of Fragrance wheel classification...

The Hanshin Tigers, one of the oldest professional clubs in Japan, were founded on 10 December 1935 with the team being formed in 1936..The Black Mist Scandal rocked Nippon Professional Baseball between 1969 and 1971..The fallout from a series of game-fixing scandals in resulted in several star players receiving long suspensions, salary cuts, or being banned from professional play entirely; the resulting abandonment of baseball by many fans in Japan also led to the sale of the Nishitetsu Lions and the Toei Flyers..The scandal had multiple components, involving the yakuza and both professional baseball and professional auto racing..Since the 1970s, foreigners have also made an impact in Nippon Professional Baseball's managing and coaching ranks, with Americans Bobby Valentine and Trey Hillman managing their respective teams to Japan Series championships..American expatriate players made their mark in NPB in the 1980s, with players like the Lee brothers, Leron Lee and Leon Lee, Greg Boomer Wells, Randy Bass, and Ralph Bryant playing key roles on their NPB teams..In 2011 Miyagi Baseball Stadium, home of the Rakuten Eagles, was badly damaged by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami...
