The extraordinary lengths secret societies go to in order to ridicule those who are not on the level is incredible.

You have expensive documentaries put out with dramatisations, music, talking heads, the works to give the authorised version of Free Mason history.

Before I go any further. Nobody can just join the Freemasons without recommendation and formal invite.

They claim to be a democratic organisation that debates and promotes freedom, but in secret??? Secret from whom? Surely not the unwashed masses and certainly no one beneath a certain level of "success" and "achievement"? So whom? Oh of course, the Catholic Church.

The Popes must have been a bit on the slow side, given that the Masons built all of the Cathedrals and did work about the Vatican itself. Why would Popes pay a vast fortune to these particular people if they held them under such suspicion, and then decided at the drop of a hat, when they had become The Knights Templar to turn on them? Not likely really is it.

The Masons have rituals that they are clueless about? Some debates they must have in their parlours. They really do like to present themselves as a Punch and Judy act who couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

One would have thought, with so many people in high positions being Free Masons who apparently debate in secret the merits of democracy, that they might have had something to shout about say, during the Spanish civil war when the US backed Franco and other dictators. Washington is after all very involved in Free Masonry, but apparently no one noticed.

Not much freedom seems to come out of the Freemasons. The Monroe Doctrine was a Freemason sought of thing, given that it was Freemasons who formulated the Monroe Doctrine, as in the Sphere of US influence in the Americas and beyond in terms of deciding who can and who can't form a government in their own country.

Of course everyone sees Monroe Doctrine as about opposing European colonialism, when it was about EMULATING European colonialism. And all this by the Freemasons. By their fruits you shall know them.

The Freemasons are certainly not about workers union rights as some advocates of freemasonry proclaim. Everything the Freemasons have done throughout history has been ugly and without soul. They are the KGB of the Vatican.

Actually, yes, you can just join the Freemasons. I did. On your petition, you need two Masons to sign the petition, but you are not invited to join.

We are. Our leaders are regularly elected. There's nothing wrong or un-democratic with secrets.

There’s a difference between Operative Freemasonry and Speculative Freemasonry.

The Vatican didn’t denounce Freemasonry until 1738.

We have some great debates.

Many? That seems like an exaggeration.

History shows otherwise.

You're for further colonization?

Just because a Mason does something doesn't mean the fraternity was behind it. Masons are not controlled by the will of the fraternity. And your opinion on the Monroe Doctrine doesn’t constitute Monroe’s opinion on his own words.

You do not speak for Freemasons.

What an ignorant statement.

From The Great Teachings of Masonry by H. L. Haywood:
"Night and day everlastingly succeed each other; the four seasons continue their endless circumambulations, like the candidate about the lodge room: the stars move about in their fixed orbits, the tides rise and fall, moons wax and wane, seedtime and harvest come and go, growth is followed by decay, birth is succeeded by death, and even the comet, once deemed the most capricious of all the major objects of creation, has been found to return upon his own path forever." - p. 19.

"The Kabbala is a work of Jewish mysticism. From it there may have come into Freemasonry, so there is good reason to believe, the Legend of the Lost Word, the Tradition of Solomon's Temple, the Tradition of the Substitute Word, the Great Pillars, etc." - p. 95.

Freemasonry is changing as I was told by an old schooler, along with the times if it needs to survive. All such publicly funded charities are dependant upon the majority of the lower and lower middle class or classes with half a brain, from and education system designed and brought to the masses by Masonry.

But the trail goes well beyond religion and by far the oldest and manipulative control system on the planet and done in such a way that the masses blindly support its affluence on which it feeds.

If one studies the hive you can easily see the hive mind and being a bee keeper helps to see the Varroa Destructor doing its thing, manipulating those they feed off of.

Just saying.

From Ancient Freemasonry: An Introduction to Masonic Archeology by Frank C. Higgins:
""The crowning secret of the ancients, as well as of our own time, is that the study of the structural proportions of our universe as evinced in lines of force and direction, cyclic time periods, celestial areas and visible parts, reveals the fact that it is of definite form, perfectly balanced proportion and just such a synthesis of the principles of pure geometry as to show that the features exhibited are from the same causative source as that which geometrizes the snowflake, the crystal and the blossom. Hence the expressions used in Masonry of the Grand Architect and the Great Geometrician of the Universe.
"The ancient Egyptians adopted as the key to this great cosmic philosophy the famous Pythagorean triangle of 3x4x5 proportions, which is the basis of the celebrated forty-seventh proposition of Euclid. They called the three sides Osiris, Isis and Horus, considering the first two as spirit and matter and the latter as nature, evolved from the wedding of the other two. This triangle, represented as the 'Eye of Horus' and typifying the sun, became the 'All Seeing Eye' of Freemasonry." - p. 12.

"...known as J-H-V-H among the Jews, I-H-O-H in Phoenicia, I-H-U-H in Chaldea, H-U-H-I in Egypt, OK-HA-HU in India, HO-HI and FO-HI in China and I-O-W-A in ancient America." - p. 14.

"The great human headed, lion bodied, bull-horned and hoofed and eagle winged monsters which stood at the temple gates were symbols of Jehovah and rebuses of his name." - p. 26.

"The two pillars of the Semitic temples served the double purpose of the teaching of the 'dual principle' and the scientific truths connected with the precession of the equinoxes, for they represented the solstices, now figured by the Masonic St. John's Days, whose feasts occur on midsummer and midwinter days." - p. 38.

"The lion and the bull, symbols of sun and earth, were the ancient glyphs of the precession of the equinoxes, which consume a period of 25,920 years." - p. 48.

"Egypt has been correctly termed the "cradle of Freemasonry," although it is far from having been its birthplace." - p. 57.

"These may be briefly enumerated as the angles of 23½ degrees, that of the inclination of the earth's axis to the pole of the ecliptic and of the equator to the plane of the ecliptic, 47 degrees, or double the foregoing, which apprises their knowledge of the circumpolar motion; the precession of the equinoxes, the earth's orbit, equinoxes and solstices; the angles of 66½ degrees and 113½ degrees, which relate to the crossing of the plane of the ecliptic by the earth's axis and that of the equator by the pole of the ecliptic." - p. 73.

"The name 'Alhim' (Elohim) given to God, in the very first verse of the first chapter of Genesis, is an anagram of the geometrical Pi proportion of the relation of the diameter of a circle to its circumference, 3.1415. The ineffable Tetragrammaton 'JHVH' or 10-5-6-5, divided through the number 30, gives us 365,6, or the precise length of the solar.
"In this wise the sentence 'KDSH L JHVH,' or 'Holiness to the Lord,' which was written in Aramaic upon the mitre of the high priest of Israel, meant there are 25,920 (144 times 180) years of 365 days 6 hours each to a precession of the equinoxes.'" - p. 86.

"That the arts of embodying the secrets of the celestial revolutions, the ceaseless march of life giving and life sustaining cycles in sacred architecture were the original secrets of the 'masters' in Masonry no man who ponders on the subject long enough to gain its import can for a moment thereafter doubt." - p. 91.

"...the hypothesis that the Templars had, in their contact with the Eastern mystics, become infected with that remaining gnosticism..." - p. 103.

"...Baphomet , is but that of the secret name of the order reversed - "Tem. Ohp. Ab," or "Templi Omnium Hominum Pacis Abbas" ("The Temple of the Father of Peace Among Men") - and that whether the modern "commanderies be descended from them or not, the original Templars became "theosophists," or students of the occult, while resident in Palestine..." - p. 108.

"The so-called "secret doctrine," so many of the speculation of which crop out of every nook and corner of Masonic philosophy, was the correlated theory of both the material and spiritual constitution of our universe which was held in secret by the high initiates in the ancient religious systems." - p. 110.

"The branch of the "secret doctrine" most intimately connected with the structural development of Freemasonry is that of the Israelites, otherwise known as the Jewish Kabbalah." - p. 111.

"...we find the traces of a doctrine everywhere the same and everywhere concealed. This occult philosophy seems to have been the nurse of godmother of all religions, the secret lever of all the intellectual forces, the key of all divine obscurities in the ages when it was exclusively reserved for the education of the priests and kings.
"All natural phenomena depend on a single and immutable law - this law expressed int he Kabbalah by the number "four" furnished the Hebrews with all the mysteries of their divine Tetragram (J H V H)." - p. 112.

"...we may recognize allusions to [the Tree of Life] in well known symbols of nearly all the peoples of the ancient world, especially the figure of three three-pointed lilies upon a single stem, which as shown on the Jewish shekels of the Maccabees is called "Aaron's Rod."" - p. 117.

"It will be noted that these Sephiroth are divided into three vertical columns. These three columns were the true spiritual significances of the famous columns of the porch of King Solomon's Temple, viz.: "Wisdom, beauty, strenght," or the equilibrium of spirit and matter eventuating in the harmonies of the material world of which we are the inhabitants." - p. 118.

"Red was dedicated to Mars, because that planet is naturally of that color, being, in fact, the "Blazing Star" of masonic tradition." - p. 128. I dont get this. He says mars is the Blazing Star multiple times. He also praises Albert Pike multiple times, and Pike said the Blazing Star was Sirius.

From Ancient Freemasonry: An Introduction to Masonic Archeology by Frank C. Higgins:
"It is notable that both "Columba" and "Iona" mean "a dove," which was a symbol of the goddess Mylitta, who was also Isis." - p. 146.

"...the Swastika, geometrically considered a pure "Jehovah" symbol..." - p. 15.

"Our times periods and cycles express the arithmetical quantities of geometrical figures and the whole mechanism of the heavens is one huge geometrical scheme, or, rather, series of them." - p. 163.

"Therefore, as "666" is the sum of all the numbers in sequence from "one" to "thirty-six" added together, it is the "grand number" of the sun." - p. 185.

"Attendant upon the twelve signs of the zodiac are thirty-six stars, called "Decans"..." - p. 189.

"The association of the corner stone with Christian doctrine through the famous Biblical phrase "The stone that was rejected of the builders has become the head of the corner," has made it celebrated as a symbol, but this latter stone is the "cube" and not the "keystone," and only the wildest stretching of illogical misinformation could ever confound the two." - p. 200.

"The six sided cube was an emblem of the Zodiacal Virgin, ,the sixth sign of the Ecliptic, because the "cube of six, 216," is the sum of cubes of 3, 4 and 5, which to the ancients formed a numerical trinity, deemed symbolic of the creative "Logos," this word like the Hebrew "AL ShDI, summing a value of 345." - p. 201.

"The constitution of the "Ecliptic" as a plane, bounded by a circle of twelve constellations, called "Signs of the Zodiac," must have been equally ancient, because the existence of the "signs" as far back as the bronze age testifies to the knowledge of the facts." - p. 222.

"...the four symbolic beasts, the "cardinal" signs of the Zodiac..." - p. 234.

"the significant Masonic numbers "Three," "Five," "Seven" and "Nine"..." - p. 268.

"Three being accepted as the number of "spirit" and four that of "matter," we get three plus four, the number of planets, and three times four, the twelve sings of the Zodiac, not to speak of the 3+4+5, which we have already discussed." - p. 269.

"[Adam and Eve] were represented on the porch of King Solomon's Temple and of all other ancient Eastern temples, by the twin pillars, which did astronomical duty as the solstices and rendered metaphysical service as representatives of the "From Ancient Freemasonry: An Introduction to Masonic Archeology by Frank C. Higgins:. These, in the allegorical parlance of our remote forefathers wer the "male and female" principles." - p. 311.

"The ancient philosophy is here completely displayed in the obvious connection between the "male principle," or spirit, represented by the number "three," and the "female principle," or matter, represented by the number "four." The first symbolic of all the Trinities and Triads which have ever distinguished the most advanced human conception of Deity and which was represented by the Hebrew with the letter "Guemel," or "G," while the "four" stood for the four constituent elements of "matter," as considered by our ancient brethren, "earth, air, fire and water," symbolized by the four vails of the temple.
"These two numbers at a right angle constituted the original Masonic "operative square."
The hypotheneuse of a right angle triangle of "three by four" is precisely "five." This is the basis of the great triangle of Pythagoras which the Egyptians called the "All Seeing Eye."
"Ay one who has the curiosity to cut an apple in half, horizontally, will remark this number "five" as that of its five seeds disposed as a "pentagram."
"Here is our Adam and Eve puzzle just as the ancient seers intended us to receive it.
"So long as "three" remained "three" and "four" remained "four" there was no generation, but the moment the "five" was introduced the creative triangle was complete and man who hitherto had shared fruits and herbs with the beasts of the field, became a thinker and a builder." - p. 314-5.

"In this Osiris is sun symbolized "spirit," and Isis, moon symbolized "matter." Their son Horus is manifested nature, or the fertile and fructifying principles of earth." - p. 317.

"The Hebrew letter "L" is "thirty," while KDSh (Kadosh) is 324, or the sum of 144 and 180, both numbers of great cabalistic importance, which multiplied together, produce 25,920, the number of years in an entire precession of equinoxes." - p. 321.

"...in each of the great eras of the world's spiritual advancement, when the "Passover" from one to another set of "cardinal signs" for the solstices and equinoxes, it was found hard to displace the cults attached for the preceding 2,160 years to the superseded Zodiacal signs." - p. 325.

"When it reaches the Latin Vulgate, "I will be that I will be," becomes "Ero qui Ero," the number-letter value of which is the famous 666 of which we have so often spoken." - p. 334.

"Among the Gnostics and in the early Byzantine Church, the letter "M" was the symbol of the "Logos," as it was among the Baal worshippers of Phoenicia. It is often used instead of the letter "G" by Grand Orient lodges." - p. 335.

"Thirty-six, the mystery number of the sun and root of "666," surrounded by the three hundred and sixty degrees of the Zodiacal circle, divided into twelve signs of thirty degrees each." - p. 336.

"The sign of the winter solstice which followed that of the Ram was that of the Fishes, "the sign of the prophet Jonas," which occurred in B. C. 6155.
"Then came Aquarius, the Waterman, in B. C. 3995, originating the story of Noah and his flood, and the first Biblical mention of the three winter planets as Ham, Shem and Japhet, or the three patriarchs of the human race, following the aqueous downpour. The was the era which gave us the "Beasts of Ezekiel" and the 'Arms' of Masonry, the second, fifth, eighth and eleventh sings (2+5+8+11) giving us the symbolic "26," which means "Jehovah" (10+5+6+5)." - p 346.

"This was the Messianic Age and commenced with the literal Passover of B. C. 1835.
"Its first manifestation was the descent of this divine spirit in the form of the "Shekineh," which dwelt between the wings of the Cherubim on the tabernacle.
"The legends of Buddha are founded upon the same expectation, for it is told of him that when born of Maya, "the sun was on the Crab." - p. 347.

From Ancient Freemasonry: An Introduction to Masonic Archeology (1923) by 32° Freemason Frank C. Higgins:
"The reason why modern astronomers have until now failed to identify the so-called "Star of Bethlehem" as such is because they have not sought to find a different explanation for the phenomena than that given by the ancient tradition of a single star.
"Indeed, there is a record of a single star of extra-ordinary qualities appearing at this time in Chinese, Indian, Arabian and Persian astronomy." - p. 351.

"There are many details to cause us to lean to the opinion that there existed for ages throughout the East a curious community of Occultists, whose chief interest lay in the recurring manifestations of the phenomena just recorded. It has been identified as the star prophesied by Baalam." - p. 352.

"If the celestial phenomenon perceived by Kepler and traced by him the period set by sacred history as that of the birth of Jesus "of Nazareth," was a periodical occurrence, then we may travel back along the lane of time and note what signal events, if any, have corresponded with its previous manifestations." - p. 352-3.

"Going back still another period, we find our selves in the era B. C. 3977, when the whole Zodiacal scheme was approaching the form in which it is now familiar to us and when the Masonic formula of the four cardinal sings, to which we have already alluded, was adopted." - p. 354.

"The whole scheme of universal movement is cyclic, or a departure from and inevitable return to certain pre-ordained conditions. Upon this the doctrine of the immortality of the soul find its surest foundation." - p. 364.

"Starting from the initial mathematical hypothesis of spirit "three" and matter "four," came the seven planets (3+4) and their twelve "houses" (3x4). The total, "twelve," responded to the 3+4+5, established by the arithmetical philosophy, the number one to twelve added were "seventy-eight," or three times JHVH, the "Was, Is and Will Be," or thirteen times "six," coming back again to the great "mother" number." - p. 365.

"396+270 gives us "666," the number of a Man, which from its affinity to 18 (1--8=36, 1--36=666, also 6+6+6), unites it to the planet Mars, whose "first," or "night" house, is in the sign of the Ram, or Lamb, whose "day" house is in the "eighth" sign, that of Scorpio." - p. 366.

""Five" being the number of the sign Leo, and "six" that of Virgo, we have as another symbol of the so-called god "On," the Egyptian Sphinx, a lion with the head of a female, whose secret is the secret of Freemasonry." - p. 368.

"...144, the "square of twelve" and 180, the number of degrees in a triangle, both of the great cabalistic importance. The difference between them being "thirty-six," the Pythagorean numerical symbol of the sun. One hundred and forty-four multiplied by 180, however, gives us 25,920, the number of years in a complete precession of the equinoxes, during which the sun, by slipping back only fifty seconds of time, in the course of his apparent march around the circle of the year, finally retreats to his original starting point in the sign of the Lamb or Ram, after having established the equinoxes and solstices in every other sign successively for a period of 2,160 years." - p. 380.

"The "precession of the equinoxes" was the basis of the calendrical computations of the entire ancient world, whose contemplations of its mighty swing and infinite endurance lifted them higher into the realms of science and philosophy than any other single human consideration.
"The so-called "Golden Age," of which the ancient poets sang, when was the sun, at the vernal equinox was in the sign of the Lion, its own special domicile. This was followed by a "Silver Age," when the same season found the sun in the "house of the moon." The "Hermetic Age" relates to Hermes, or Gemini, the "house" of Mercury; the "Bronze Age" to Taurus, the "house" of Venus, to whom copper was sacred, and the "Iron Age" to Aries, the "house" of Mars." - p. 381.

"The metallic symbol of our present age is that of "tin," relating to Jupiter in Aquarius. These so-called "ages" will be found to exactly correspond with both poetic allusions to the past and scientific facts observed in the present. Another of Time's mysteries. Turn where we will to the calendar lore of the ancient world and we will find indisputable evidence that this 25,920 year period, together with its fractions and multiplies, was the standard measure employed in the constitution of all the sacred divisions of time.
"The Chaldean periods, known as the "Saros" and "Naros," were examples of this, as also the great Hindoo cycles, the "Kali Yugas," "Yugas," "Manavatars," "Kalpas," etc." - p. 382.

"...the passage of the spring equinox from Aries to Pisces, which was in A. D. 325.." - p. 385.

"It is a fact that the mysteries of Freemasonry are so indissolubly connected with those of the "Tarot" that students familiar with both are undecided as to which derives the most from the other." - p. 389.

"Now the four cardinal signs of the zodiac, which are commonly called the "Merkabah," or "Beasts of Ezekiel," which are at once a rebus of the Divine Name and the arms of the Masonic Order, represent the very elements given.
"The man, "air;" the eagle, "water;" the bull, "earth;" and the lion, "fire." These again are connected with the four letters of the Divine Name, as Jod or "J," "fire; first Heh or H, "water;" the vau or V," "earth,: and the second Heh of H, "air." - p. 391.

"The Gnostic sects, the Arabs, Alchemists, Templars, Rosicrucians and last, the Freemasons, form the Western chain in the transmission of occult science." - p. 394.

"In the centre of this lodge floor is, or should be displayed an eight-pointed star, like a rudimentary mariner's compass. This is just as often displaced by a five-pointed star, or a mosaic Square and Compasses, to be trampled under foot." - p. 417.

"[The keystone] is the absolutely oldest masonic amulet extant if we except the swastika, which once was but has ceased to be considered such." - p. 427.

"...when the ram first became the sign of the spring equinox (B.C. 1835)." - p. 441.

"The Swastika in its quadruple manifestation represented to the Jains the four grades of existence of souls in the material universe. The horizontal and vertical lines represented respectively "spirit" and "matter." Then the right arm represented archaic or protoplasmic life; the soul evolves from that state to the one represented by the bottom arm, the earth, with its plant and animal life; then the left arm signifies the human state and the upper arm the celestial stage of spiritual plane, on which the human soul is entirely freed from the bonds of matter... When a person has these he will certainly go higher until he reaches a state of liberation, which is represented by a crescent moon, which is always growing larger. A circle in the crescent represents the omniscient state of the soul, when it attains full consciousness, is liberated and lives apart from matter." - p. 457.

"We have already seen the Swastika to have a very pointed reference to the Sumpreme Being and indicative in India of a philosophy closely resembling that of the four Cabalistic worlds of emanation. Its four parts suggest the four letters or number of the "Tetragrammaton." It peculiar shape is unmistakably a suggestion of cyclic progression." - p. 462.

From The Western Mysteries, Book II (1994) by David Allen Hulse:

"Crowley measured the grand Zodiacal year as approximately 2,000 years and developed his own interpretation of the precession of the Equinoxes in light of the Book of the Law. His doctrine concerned only three of the ages: the ages of Aries, Pisces, and Aquarius."

"The secret key to the meaning of 37 in the above is found in Hebrew rather then Greek, for 37 is the value of IChIDH...a name for the essential self as the unique point, a title of Kether on the Tree of Life, and a symbol of the point of light or flame of spirit which dwells in every living soul." - p. 22.

"...the Coptic term for the capstone of the pyramid (KLGhE...) is valued at 55..." - p. 29.

"...Kether--Crown....The Primum Mobile... ...Chokmah...The Fixed Stars... ...Binah...Saturn..." - p. 32.

"The letter Vav has three transliterations in the Golden Dawn system as English. These three letters, U, V, and W, are the other forms of Vav..." - p. 368. Vav=6

"The two towers through which the path of Key XVIII winds its way are a graphic portrayal of the Tree of Life. This winding yellow path is the Middle Pillar of the Tree (composed of Sephiroth 1, 6, 9, and 10)." - p. 400.

"In the Golden Dawn tradition for the Tarot, the Minor Arcana cards numbered 2 through 10 in each suit correspond to the 36 decans of the Zodiac." - p. 412.

"These three sword blades point to the sixth, fifth, and fourth chakras at head, throat, and chest (heart). These are the three areas which were struck to slay Hiram Abiff, the Master Mason of King Solomon's temple." - p. 428-429.

"The most appropriate number of loops for this sacred cord [cable tow] is three and a half, since this is the number of coils in which the serpent power Kundalini is bound at the base of the spine in the first chakra. Like all true initiations, the initial ritual opens up the [Masonic] candidate for the first time in order to receive the light, and 777 = 296 to slowly raise the energy through all seven chakras within the candidate through successive initiations." - p. 432.

"As the proportion of the Cube, 26 is the sum of the component parts which compose the cube, for the cube is made up of six faces, eight corners, and twelve edges, and 6+8+12= 26." - p. 466.

"As the four kerubic angels of Qabalistic angeology, 26 is concealed in the serial order of the four fixed Zodiacal sings of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius as 2, 5, 8, and 11." - p. 467.

"By numbering, as Hebrew letters, the corresponding straight Paths that this Flaming Sword follows in its descent from 1 to 10, Crowley obtained the number 777. However, since the Path from 3 to 4 is invisible on the Tree of Life, Crowley substituted the Path connecting 1 to 6 (that of Gimel)." - p. 472.

From Alchemy of the Soul: The Eros and Psyche Myth as a Guide to Transformation by Martin Lowenthal:
"The Greek Aphrodite, who was worshipped in Egypt as Isis, in Sumeria as Inanna, in Babylonia as Ishtar, in the Near East as Ashtoreth, and was known in Roman times as Venus, reveals the mysteries of the gods, of life, of death, and of spiritual realization." p. 8.

"Apuleius called his larger novel, of which the tale of Eros (Cupid, in Latin) and Psyche was a part, The Transformations of Lucius Apuleius of Madaura, later shortened to The Golden Ass. For Apuleius, the Eros and Psyche story is a coded version of the secret initiation practices referred to later in the novel when the main character, Lucius, becomes a priest in the cult of Isis. The spiritual mysteries were always coded in stories so that the words and practices that had the power of the "keys" to heaven were concealed from non-initiates. The story of Eros and Psyche gives a basic road map of the steps of alchemical initiation into the mystical circle of Isis." - p. 47.

"In addition to the alchemical transformations that the story as a whole represents, it also traces the development of Psyche as a "personal soul" into a "Sacred Soul."" - p. 60-1.

"...another meaning of the word "psyche," butterfly. A mature butterfly is the result of a metamorphosis from one form into another." - p. 69.

"Aphrodite, as a Great Mother Goddess of Love, Marriage, Sexuality, and Childbirth, is a Greek incarnation of the Egyptian goddess Isis, who was called Venus by the Romans." - p. 70.

"The process of turning the lead of ordinary experience into the gold of wisdom was referred to by alchemists variously as the "opus," the "transformation," or the "metamorphosis." For the initiated, the Greek and Roman myths, as well as Ovid's Metamorphoses and much of the work of Homer, were considered consciously alchemical works. It was customary for the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians to hand down the alchemical wisdom to succeeding generations in the form of myths, fables, and coded stories." - p. 76.

"One of the core principles of spiritual alchemy that is found in Kabbalah and many other mystical traditions states that the physical and spiritual worlds are mirrors of each other, that the macrocosm is reflected in the microcosm and vice versa. In alchemy, this is called the "Doctrine of Correspondences." The Doctrine of Correspondences puts forth that what is true in Heaven corresponds to what is true on Earth, and what is true on Earth is also true of Heaven. They do not consider life, at its essence, to be divisible into a physical reality divorced from a sacred reality For them, the subtlest part of matter is soul. The subtlest part of soul is spirit. And the subtlest part of spirit is God, also referred to by many as Nous, the One Mind." - p. 79.

"This work is often referred to as the Magnum Opus, the Great Work, because it represents the culmination of conscious inner work that embodies profound wisdom and energy beyond the limitations of mundane time, space, and routines. This final, freshly radiant and open state is known as the Philosopher's Stone. In the myth of Eros and Psyche, it is also symbolized by the nectar of the gods that completes the initiation of the personal soul as a learning being into the sacred, the refinement of the spirit and of you as a listener into the luminous world of the Divine, embodied in your aliveness, clarity, and love. All reality, inner and outer, is transformed in this process, producing the blessed experience of rapture, heavenly pleasure." - p. 80.

"Our challenge is to transform this body into a vehicle for turning everything into the gold of spiritual value and the elixir of sacred delight to remove the muck of reaction from the hidden diamond of natural awareness." - p. 82-3.

"The sexual alchemists in this system tap the mutual energies of their partners to achieve ever-more-intense inner orgasms and ever-greater refinement of the generative energies. These are then gathered and used to create a subtle energy body." - p. 91.

"...the myth of Eros and Psyche......is about the alchemical path of turning everything into the gold of wisdom, the embodiment of that wisdom, and living life as a total person and member of a sacred community." - p. 95.

"Beyond the general alchemical principle of turning the base metal of everyday experience into the gold of wisdom, the myth of Eros and Psyche also contains specific alchemical symbols, processes, and steps in its structure and characters. These references in the myth, as presented by Apuleius and as retold here, reveal an entire system of sacred alchemy as initiation." - p. 101.

"From this original Chaos arose the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water. These four elements are not the same as the physical forms we see as the material world, but are sublte qualities or principles that manifest in physical forms." - p. 102.

"Then a new element is introduced that is represented in three different forms: the nectar, the heavenly marriage itself, and the child that is born. Nectar is the gold of profound wisdom that is needed for the full transformation of into the gold of Divine Wisdom - the Philosopher's Stone of immortality - and entrance into eternity. The marriage unites Heaven (Eros) and Earth (Psyche)." - p. 106.

"The new, or fifth, element results when the four fundamental elements are harmonized and reconciled in a unity. In the alchemical tradition, the Philosopher's Stone is often called gold and the Elixir, drinkable gold. The essence of the Elixir, the liquid gold, is the supreme Wisdom that is clear, indestructible, and made of the original nature of the world and all being." - p. 107.

"These stages can be further elaborated as seven steps: calcination, dissolution, separation, conjunction, fermentation, distillation, and coagulation." - p. 108.

"Coagulation, the last step, brings together all the elements in a final marriage that represents transformation and embodiment of Wisdom and the creation of the gold of Profound Wisdom, the Philosopher's Stone, the diamond of true clarity, and the Elixir of sacred creation in the dimension of the eternal." - p. 110.

"In Western alchemy, [the Philosopher's Stone] is compared to such precious stones as the ruby, pearl, sapphire, and diamond. In Buddhist teachings, it is depicted as a diamond. A pure diamond is close to an absolutely clear physical substance and is the hardest, most indestructible thing in our universe." - p. 110-111.

"Through [Psyche's] three deaths, the sacred aspects of her soul are released to go through various unions with the spirit, represented by Eros, leading to the alchemical wedding." - p. 112.

"Eros is also associated with the bee and with honey. The sting of the bee and the arrow of Eros both signify the secret, sacred fire that breaks down metals and destroys the outmoded state of being." - p. 112.

"Apollo is the Sun and also represents gold. It is the oracle of Apollo that sets out the initial instructions to the father of Psyche that begin the journey and explicitly state that a marriage must take place." - p. 113.

"The caduceus, the wand of Hermes, with two intertwining serpents crossing each other to form three circles, symbolizes the dynamic circulation of fundamental male and female energies and the three separations and unions that are part of the alchemical work in creating the sacred marriage." - p. 114.

"The golden fleece is a form of Divine Wisdom that is used to catalyze the alchemical process." - p. 115.

"As mentioned previously, the supreme wisdom that turns the lead of everyday experience into the gold of Wisdom and sacred devotion is represented by the divine nectar. This divine state is also referred to as an Elixir, daughter, the Philosopher's Stone, a rose, a lily, a lotus blossom, and a bird." - p. 117.

From Alchemy of the Soul: The Eros and Psyche Myth as a Guide to Transformation by Martin Lowenthal:
"When Aphrodite, goddess of fertility, creation, and beauty, recedes from the scene, the world becomes desolate." - p. 120.

"From an alchemical point of view, Psyche is lunar, while Eros is solar." - p. 124.

"The sword is an alchemical symbol of the fire of consciousness that operates in the initial stage of the work of the nigredo, or black night, when the old ways go through their first death in their process of dissolution into their prima materia." - p. 126.

"Rising from the dead to another dimension of being and aliveness is called "transformation" and "quickening." In the story, as in alchemy, this transformational aspect of fermentation involves being infused by spirit (Eros) and rising, much as yeast bread rises. This process, in its maturing aspect, is likened to the creation of alcohol, particularly wine." - p. 144-5.

"The symbols that alchemists use for the final state include precious stones, gold, a child, salt, an Elixir ( the nectar of the gods and ambrosia of immortality). The Elixir and the Philosopher's Stone are considered the same essence, the Elixir being the liquid form, and the Stone being solid or powder."
"...Honey is a term for the Elixir, because it is sweet and golden in color. Honey is also another reference to the bee that is associated with Eros. Just as the Elixir is the wisdom principle of vitality, the Philosopher's Stone or diamond is the wisdom principle of clarity."
"...The stone is a transformative jewel that can turn base metals into pure gold, reactive experience into Wisdom, and you, as an earthly being, into the embodiment of sacred Wisdom and divine love." - p. 149.

"The final clear, indestructible diamond state is made of the same material as the soft, black coal of our beginning state of confused and reactive consciousness." - p. 150.

"Alchemical rapture results from the process of turning the lead of our everyday experience into the gold of Wisdom energy." - p. 151.

"Just as you ascend, along with Psyche and Eros, to become residents of the sublime realms of existence, so the alchemists aspired to a permanent state of higher consciousness they called the Philosopher's Stone and the Elixir of Life." - p. 156.

"Name/Symbol: Aphrodite (Roman: Venus; Egyptian: Isis; Sumerian: Inanna; Babylonian: Ishtar; Semitic: Asherah)
"Mythical Meanings: A Great Mother Goddess, goddess of love, marriage, sexuality, and childbirth. Associated with the ocean. Primal goddess of creation in some myths.
"Alchemical Meanings: Presides over the sexual union of the male and female seeds of metals/life at the chemical wedding. A force that makes the alchemical union possible." - p. 161.

"Gold of wisdom that is sought in alchemical work. The "golden fleece" is the name given to the parchment on which the secrets of alchemy are written." - p. 162.

"Name/Symbol: Grains/Seeds
"Mythical Meanings: Latent potentialities; fertility, growth; the Mystic Center.
"Alchemical Meanings: The essence or life spark of metals or the materials from which gold can be generated in the alchemical process. The mater for making the Stone that can reproduce itself." - p. 163.

"Hephaestus (Roman: Vulcan)... ...An archetypal alchemist and sometimes considered a symbolic founder of alchemy. Associated with the secret fire of the Work and sometimes on of the facilitators of the birth of the Philosopher's Stone." - p. 163.

"Name/Symbol: Hermes (Roman: Mercury; Egyptian: Thoth)
"Mythical Meanings: God of occult wisdom, communication, medicine, magic, letters, Logos, and learning. Transports souls and has great power over rebirth and reincarnation. Unites both masculine and feminine. God of crossroads.
"Alchemical Meanings: A central symbol of alchemy itself, representing the universal agent of transmutation. It is the alchemist's magical arcanum, the transformative substance without which the entire alchemical process could not happen. Carries the divine love essence which kills falsehood and illusion and allows truth to arise." - p. 163.

"Name/Symbol: Marriage
"Mythical Meanings: Union of Force and Wisdom, Life Force and Love, head and heart, lower and higher; death as extinction of sense of separateness or transition from one state to another.
"Alchemical Meanings: Critical operation in the creation of the Philosopher's Stone, also called the "chemical wedding." State where all forces are reconciled and work together in the creation of the gold of eternal wisdom. Union of creative power with wisdom to produce pure love." - p. 164.

I could listen to Manly Halls lectures all day. Such a great speaker. However, after a while the whistle in his voice starts to sound like the pervy pensioner from Family Guy. I turn it off then.

I also forgot to add that you're assuming "so many people" are in "high positions" of government. However, Freemasonry does cultivate and support the principles of democracy, freedom, and liberty. Freemasonry has been heavily suppressed by dictators such as Franco. In 1935, Spain barred Masons from joining the military. Civil War began in 1936 and in October, 6-Masons were hanged for simply being Masons. Francisco Franco, the soon-to-be leader of Spain, had his troops destroy Masonic temples, confiscate property, and torture and execute Masons; some were forced to dig their own graves before being shot. Grave-sites were desecrated if they had symbols thought to be Masonic on them. It was a criminal offense for a man to have ever been connected with Freemasonry. Between 1939 and 1975, around 16,000 Spanish citizens were executed for the crime of Freemasonry, but upon the death of Franco in 1975 the ban was lifted and Masonic activity resumed.

Like Spain, Portugal had banned Freemasonry at different times. In 1931, Masonic meeting were prohibited by order of the police. The police went around the known Loges and sealed the doors and the Grand Master, John Martin de Matos, was secret imprisoned in a hospital for "health reasons". Freemasonry has existed under the parliamentary democracy, but everything changed in May of 1926 when a military coup led by General Gomes da Costa installed an authoritarian government that would eventually be led by António de Oliveira Salazar.

Freemasonry was also a victim of Nazi Germany. The Nazis saw the Freemasons as servants of the Jews and, from an official publication, "...hostility against the Freemason as a servant of the Jew, must be worked up to a frenzy." Once Hitler took power in 1933, his followers informed Masonic leaders they had no place in the new Germany, but many were also misled that Masonic activity would not be prohibited. Soon the government attempted to implement changes they saw as necessary. Many Masons started meeting underground and in complete secrecy. Soon Masons were being prevented from entering businesses and working as public servants such as education and military sectors. Many Masons were being imprisoned for various types of trumped up charges. On August 8th, 1935, Hitler announced the final dissolution of all Masonic Lodges in Germany and blamed the assassination in Sarajevo in 1914 which led to World War I on the Freemasons. Masonic property was confiscated and propaganda campaigns against Freemasonry started nation-wide. Many things were taken to Berlin to be a part of an anti-Masonic exhibit, but those properties not used were often burned or destroyed. Masonic members and dignitaries alike were sent to concentration camps. So many libraries and archives were destroyed and records lost. As the Nazi regime spread across Europe the suppression of Freemasonry followed along, although the anti-Masonic actions didn't make much world news.

And these are a just few examples. You can go back farther and see suppression by King Philip V of Spain, King Ferdinand VI of Spain, Ferdinand IV, King of the Two Sicilies, Maria I of Portugal, Emperor Francis II of Austria, King Ferdinand VII of Spain, and Mussolini.

From Masonic Symbolism (1939) by Charles Clyde Hunt:
"In the Old Testament the dew as a symbol of spiritual gifts is connected with the gift of manna." - p. 55.

"The Egyptian goddess Isis (fruitfulness) became the Greek Ceres (corn)." - p. 75.

"The evergreen is a symbol of immortality, corn of the resurrection. When the cold blasts of winter cast the dark pall of death over the greater part of the vegetable kingdom, the evergreen undergoes no visible change and thus represents everlasting life; but as the grain of corn, so with man in his physical nature, there comes a time when growth ceases, maturity arrives, and then comes death and decay. Yet, out of this death and decay there emerges new life. As there was in the grain of corn a germ of life which could come to fruition only through the death of the old grain, so with man, there is an "immortal part which survives the grave and bears the nearest affinity to that Supreme Intelligence which pervades all nature and which can never, never, never die." - p. 82.

"We also find that this [3-4-5] triangle was to them the symbol of universal nature. The base 4, represented Osiris, the male principle; the perpendicular 3, Isis, the female principle; and Horus, their son, the product of the two principles, was represented by the hypotenuse 5." - p. 146.

"In applying this subject to Masonic symbolism, let us remember that the square is the symbol of earthly perfection and its limitations. The circle on the other hand represents the universe of God and eternity." - p. 160.

"As a matter of fact, there was an order called the Star, but it was not famous and it is not likely that it was know to our brethren of the eighteenth century." - p. 163.
This is not the exact image from pg. 164 called "Insignia of the Garter", but it is very similar. This pic is from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Garter
"He states that the Mason's apron should represent the perfect cube, the emblem of the perfect man, but the cube is the square solidified, and is the emblem of earthly, not spiritual perfection. The triangle, the emblem of Deity, is also the emblem of spiritual perfection, and is appropriate to the Master. The square is the principal working tool of the Fellwo Craft, not the Master." - p. 186.

"The widespread belief in the bee as the symbol of the resurrection..." - p. 204.

Quoting Jonathan Swift: "For this Reason the Kings of France, both Pagans and Christians, always eminent Freemasons, carried three Bees for their Arms, but to avoid the imputation of the Egyptian Idolatry of worshipping a Bee, Clodovaeus, their first Christian King, called them Lilies, or Flower-de-Luces, in which, notwithstanding the small Change made for Disguise Sake, there is still the exact Figure of a Bee..."
"The Egyptians always excellent and Antient Free-Masons paid Divine Worship to a Bee under the outward the outward Shape of a Bull, the better to conceal the mystery, which Bull, by them called Apis, is the Latin word for a Bee; the Aenigma of representing the Bee by a goreon Lodge of Freemasons, the souls of all the Cow-Kind transmigrate into Bees, as one Virgil, a Poet much in favour with the Emperor Augustus, because of his profound Skill in Masonry, hath described... - p. 205.

"That [the cable or cable two] symbolizes the chains of vice which bind us to our lower nature." - p. 238.

How many people of the present day realize that the steeple of a church, the stone erected over the grave of a loved one, the perpendicular marks on the dollar sign () are survivals of pillar symbolism?" - p. 280.

Quoting Farbridge: "A considerable amount of symbolism is connected with the lily in later Jewish literature, where it is nearly always compared to Israel... It was also employed in Cabbalistic literature as a symbol of resurrection."
Hunt's own words: "The reference to the lily in Hosea 14:5 is that this flower represents Israel. "As it withers in the sunlight, but blooms beneath the dew, so Israel withers away except God becomes as dew for her, and she is renowned among the nations as the lily among the flowers."" - p. 295.

Quoting Oliver: "The key is one of the most important symbols of Freemasonry." - p. 327.

"...D. Murray Lyon, Scottish Masonic historian, who says:
"It is worthy of notice that cu is the Gaelic word for dog."" - p. 377.

"In like manner, stages of prosperity are designated by metals which symbolize them; as the Golden Age, the Silver Age, the Brass, Age, the Iron Age, etc. These successive ages of thew world are referred to in the Book of Daniel where is described a great image which the king saw in a vision. This image had its head of gold, its breast and arms of silver, its mid-parts of brass, its legs of iron and its feet of iron and clay, symbolizing successive stages of degeneracy.
"It is well to notice that according to this interpretation metals symbolize man's material progress and spiritual degeneracy. - p. 384.

"And the third brother Tubal Cain, founded smithcraft of gold, silver, copper, iron and steel..." - p. 385.

Quoting Mackey: "The body of Osiris was cut into fourteen pieces; that is, into as many parts as there are days between the full moon." - p. 391.

"When the children of Israel after forty years of wandering crossed the Jordan to enter the land which was to be their future home, they took twelve stones from the river bed and with them built a monument to commemorate the event." - p. 461.

"Thus are the stones of the material city and temple used as symbols of the New Jerusalem and the spiritual temple." - p. 461.

"Everything about King Solomon's Temple has a spirtual counterpart. The Messiah is "the chief corner stone," prophets and apostles are "foundation stones," all laborers for God are "builders" and "living stones," and all growth in character is "edification" or temple building." - p. 462.

"Will is the grand, native essential for martyrs, reformers, foundation characters. Unsanctified will...is dangerous, is cruel. But if purified, polished and divinely set, it becomes the diamond of matchless splendor." - p. 465.

"Hence the temple that we build is a spiritual building, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." - p. 505.

"There is an analogy between material and spiritual building, and Freemasonry uses the former to teach the latter. Both are planned by an architect, and in both a knowledge of the qualities of materials, how they should be selected, and how they may best be applied to produce the desired result is required. This knowledge, when applied, is an application of Masonic principles." - p. 508.

There are a few indiscrepancies in this data,

The way the family line continues is by having children then the line from either the male or female which often changes in the electi.

Green Man is the male line.

The star which the writing pertains to is called the glory which can be seen on both the police and military badges it is the older sun worship.

The children of Israel pertains to the zodiac where Mariam weeps for her children who are not dead but covered by the sun and lost, they are of course the Gemini twins of the zodiac.

Apps melifera is the name of the Queen bee which the most ancient of civilisation knew was a female who laid all the eggs and the drones died after mating.

The Mormons emblem is the Bee hive and purely a masonic party with electric and workers who fill their hive with tithing to this day, a human hive that does not throw out the drones as the bees do when winter approaches.

There are so many hidden allegories here that it would take a week to write them all down.

Tubal Caine is the crafty man from Joppa who is sent in the allegory to fashion the new empire wit has money and spices and colours of the rainbow, a masonic rainbow.

View the pound sign in money terms, here we have the Insignia of a person behind the prison bars as in the dollar sign the British version is more accurate with legs and a curved crook share at the top, this is also the Egyptian sign for dominance the ruler of mankind and here in is their symbolic gesture.

The very first Fleur de lis found upon the headgear of the Summerian gods the Annunaki.

All masonic parlance from the beginning of control over mankind.

From Symbols of Freemasonry by Daniel Beresniak:
"In the Cooke Manuscript (1410), one of the oldest known tests which deals with freemasonry, we read that: "At the time of the construction of the Temple of Solomon, begun by King David ... Solomon employed 24,000 Masons..."" - p. 26.

"The last descendant of Cain was Tubal-Cain, whose name means "the blacksmith of the Universe". The blacksmith is a man of knowledge who masters the four elements of earth, water, fire and air. He has a skill which can accomplish what knowledge only promises, ripping open the belly of the earth, extracting metals, forging tools and everything else he might want and need in order to become a king." - p. 34.

"The Two Pillars: A Symbol of Duality...
"...They announce the departure from a familiar world to an unknown one." - p. 44.

"For the Egyptians, the ear of corn was the emblem of Osiris and symbolised his death and resurrection." - p. 72.

"The great American Mason, Albert Pike (1809-91), was particularly fond of this degree. He wrote the longest book ever published about the rite, Morals and Dogma, which is known as the "Bible of the Scottish Rite". - p. 90.

Except corn did not exist in Ancient Egypt. Corn would have been known until after the Europeans started colonizing the Americas.

No it doesn't.
It all depends on how one uses term corn.

How do stone carving or Maize end up in the chapel of Roslin when it was built before Columbus sailed for South America.

There are plenty of theories that Columbus wasn't the first European to the Americas, but images of corn in Roslin do not support or validate the statement that corn (maize) being symbolic in ancient Egypt.
