Just playing around with this one. Last edited by thedefender; 26-10-2009 at 09:04 PM.

That is interesting, especially with Lady Gaga being the new Grace Jones as far as costume is concerned.

On Memphis Bleek's (pretty terrible) album 534, there is a Rihanna song. Jay Z comes on at the beginning saying how he "found Rihanna in Barbados" and he boasts that she has a bright future ahead.

Yeah it happens to all of them.

Although Rhianna came out of the gate pushing a dark edge.

I don't know about any symbolismn but I think all music is valid and it makes me laugh people saying I don't want teenagers listening to this as it seems so tame compared to punk. Elvis was called the Devils Music wasn't it??????

That was all part of a ritual. It was carried out in private and later they made headlines with chris beating his gf (Rhianna) in order to promote energies against the feminine spirit.

Yes well I'd never promote violence, especially dispicable is face-whacking, however the feminine spirit?? Everything about Rhianna is feminine except her attitude, and that's male
The older divas are expressing their maleness eg Madonna's arms, but this is just in the nature of a male thrust from a female perspective

She look's pretty innocent here though.

"What Jay-Z wants, Jay-Z gets! When rap mogul Jay-Z first met Rihanna he was so impressed with her talent that he practically threatened to throw her out of the window if she didn't sign a record deal with his music label.

Rihanna sang the Whitney Houston classic 'For The Love Of Me' during her audition for Def Jam suits when she was just 14.

She recalls, "The audition definitely went well. They (Def Jam) locked me into the office - till 3am. And Jay Z said, 'There's only two ways out. Out the door after you sign this deal. Or through this window...' and we were on the 29th floor. ".Very flattering.

Rihanna is definitely a refreshing change from all these random wanna be pop stars we've had lately. Surprisingly, I'm not sick of 'Umbrella' yet, everytime they play it on the radio I still find myself singing along"

Hence the Russian Roulette refference in both of them. You could say that my mind is a kaledoscope of abstracts attacks back. To most of you this will just not click, as you're really...
