After starting this thread a couple of weeks ago, I've since read all the discussion and have been keeping in touch with the news (Changing of stories etc) and I am convinced this aircraft is at Diego Garcia.

I will add a deeper thinking later this evening. I'd have done so sooner had it not been for long hours at work.

Thanks for starting it, it's been fascinating and I like that everyone is civilized towards each others opinions unlike some of the other forums I've come across

They haven't released to the public, and we only have their interpretation of it. Are they going to release it to the public?

This is the info log from flight aware. Interesting that the log stops its data at 01.02am rate field

The KTS, MPH, Feet and Rate fields seems to be what Flightaware records during a flight...The latitude and longitude seems to be predetermined fields at the points it collects the data

Going by the latitude and longitude co-ordinates in googlemaps, it seems to have lost receiving data in the middle of Malaysia, and at 01.07am was meant to be still inland in Malaysia

It can now be revealed that the loss of communications from the plane, and its dramatic turn to the west, happened when air traffic controllers in Kuala Lumpur were handing over to their colleagues in Vietnam.

Question for the masses. Assume that everyone on board is unconscious..

If a 777 is on autopilot and it runs out of fuel what happens? Does it just fall out of the sky or does the autopilot attempt to glide the plane to the ground?

Personally, if I'd have designed the autopilot I'd ensure that the plane attempted to make a graceful touchdown in the event of running out of fuel..it'd be a logical to design such a thing.

If so, the plane may have performed a controlled water landing all by itself, suffering minor fuselage damage and floated for a few hours, sending out pings, before sinking.

This would explain the lack of debris.

The onboard computer had its course changed to go West 12 mins prior to the last radio comms 'goodnight'

I am reading this as checking if the plane is still on the network means the plane can be flying or it could be on the ground. Going by the chart it pings in a taxi position

If the plane had been sending signals on SUNDAY...well well well
Each airline determines how it wants the system to work and under what circumstances. Some carriers receive messages when the plane is using auxiliary power, while others want updates only when the aircraft's engines are running.

If the airplane is on autopilot, it thinks that it needs to fly a certain heading, so it's going to try to stay on course the whole time as its fuel runs out and its airspeed bleeds off. Once that happens, the airplane stalls, the autopilot turns off and the airplane is lost.

According to the guys who own and operate the satellite network, the SATCOM wont send pings unless the engines are running.

They also claim that with each ping, the plane was travelling further away from the satellite, although I have no idea how they reach that conclusion (they probably have data from another satellite provider that they are not revealing)

i think we will never know what really happened to this plane..but my guess..is parts found..in the indian ocean..will be next..i might be wrong though.

A human pilot would attempt to glide the plane for as long as possible. I'm surprised that a fly-by-wire aircraft wouldn't attempt to mimic that.

26-10-12 - Malaysia Airlines, Boeing 737-4H6. In the UK to end its life. It diverted to Gatwick due to fog at its final destination of Kemble. It was here for 3 days... such a shame that the weather got no better than this!

The pilot would not have turned the transporters off, would have radio comms he was in trouble. He would not have changed course 12 mins earlier before saying 'alright goodnight'

That plane was hijacked after take off imo, and as there are no terrorists that hijack planes or blow up trains, there is only one finger of suspicion on who hijacked this plane, who would have been allowed into the cockpit from take off...the very ones who were behind 9/11, 7/7, Boston and all the rest of them, under the guise of CNN journalist/s

They took this plane straight to Diego Garcia and knew at the point to have the plane turned West. Why is the question. To me this is pre planned and Freescale goes right back to the 9/11 frauds. I fear the plane might still be used as a false flag unless they aborted this plan early on when too many people cottoned on. At the moment they are stalling time for something
