Default Helicopter crashes after hitting crane in Vauxhall

Just getting reports.....

A helicopter has struck a crane in Vauxhall and crashed to the ground in a ball of smoke, according to witnesses.

Pictures showed flames and plumes of smoke rising from the ground by a tower block on Wandsworth Road.

Traffic around the Vauxhall and Nine Elms area is at a complete standstill.

One report says the crane may have landed on cars.

A helicopter has crashed into a crane in Vauxhall, south London, the city's fire service has confirmed.

The crash involved two cars and an unknown number of people, London Fire Service said.

Witnesses said at least six or seven fire engines are at the scene, and a pall of smoke is visible near the River Thames.

If tptb are quick enough, they might be able to spin a terrorist false flag story out of it.

Reports of burning debris near Vauxhall bus station. Isn't Vauxhall near the MI6 building?!

Rush hour traffic as well.

Thats some smoke. I can't see any fog though.

Close to some buildings such as houses of Parliament and MI6 so I think "terrorism" is out of the window

The helicopter is an Agusta 109, according to reports.

Hopefully not modelled on this RC!!!

The AgustaWestland AW109 is a light-weight, twin-engine, eight-seat multi-purpose helicopter built by the Anglo-Italian manufacturer AgustaWestland. First flown as the Agusta A109 in 1971, the craft has proven itself in light transport, medevac, search-and-rescue, and military roles.

United Kingdom
Royal Air Force[20]
No. 32 Squadron RAF

The crane was on the new St George's tower. At a rough guess he was coming in to land at the Battersea heliport. Pictures on the news show the top of the building is shrouded in fog to he probably didn't see the crane.

Probably a police helicopter chasing after a scally on a moped. Cos that is money well spent and we all love to hear that 1984 whirr whirr whirr at 4am in the morning. Makes us feel calm and happy.

Anywhere in central London is close to something important.

Apparently the crane was on top of a building called The Tower, in the St George Wharf development, and is billed to be one of Europe's tallest residential towers.

The building is only a few hundred metres from MI6 and is situated on a busy roundabout.

Sounds like the pilot might have been distracted, say by a pretty lady close to a window etc.... Wouldn't be the first time.

Anyway as tragic as this is...basically it's media porn.

In other news.....

Syria: 'More than 80 killed' in Aleppo University blasts

Dozens of people have been killed when two explosions tore through one of Syria’s biggest universities yesterday on the first day of exams, in what could prove to be the deadliest bombing during nearly two years of violence.

Just saying....

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/ja...l-live-updates

"There is no suggestion at this stage of terrorism"

It hadn't even crossed my mind until they mentioned it. That kind of negative suggestion will plant the idea of terrorism in peoples minds.

That's a bit like saying to someone, "My mother died this morning. By the way, I didn't murder her." Straight away people will be then thinking, "Hmm, I wonder if he really did murder her..."
