Why do they make lemonade with synthetic lemons and yet use real lemons in furniture polish?

Who decided that everything would summon us with an obnoxious BEEP? Why not a chime or a hum or some other noise. BEEPS run our lives.

Car Beeps
Dryer Beeps
Microwave Beeps
Oven Beeps
Call waiting Beeps

and so many more.. I HATE BEEPS

AMEN TO THAT! I got my truck back from the body shop yesterday (I was backed into by an SUV) with a pretty, new door and all...............and as I was driving the short distance home, I thought I heard a barely audible ticking noise, was it my imagination?

I rolled up the window and concentrated, yep, I heard a little ticking noise. What could it be?

As I drove along the noise strengthened to sound like a sickly cricket trying to chirp - WTH?! Shortly before arriving home the sound had fully developed into THE DOOR IS OPEN BEEP! (ding! ding! ding! ) But of course the door was securely closed.

As I left with the repair shop at their closing time, and this is New Year's Day and they will be closed, I will have to live with the beep until Thursday when I am next off work to take it back.

The question I thought about myself back when we got our first VCR (shortly before the dino's expired ).

I must have read it wrong, I thought the woman on the bus and the woman that acknowledged him in front of her partner were one in the same.

I should go re read it.......nah.

Why is when I told my father the reason why he couldn't get through on a long distance call yesterday might be because all the circuits were busy and he it was more than likely because the exchange was overloaded?
