Media types tend to be left of centre, look at the flak UKIP gets from most of the media.
Five page election special in today's Sunday Times and several pops at UKIP per page.
Tories bigged up as you'd expect but very little in there knocking Labour.

Left of centre media types don't big up Tories, ever. I think you mean most media types are left of UKIP, which ain't hard.

We had some oaf on the doorstep trying to get our votes for Farij. Every single question we asked was answered with, "I'll have to check our web site". It would be funny if it wasn't real.

Think yourself lucky you live in an area deemed important enough to warrant a face to face opportunity. I live in a solid Labour area and the ukip guy just scurries through posting leaflets while everybody is still in bed.

We're in Boston and Skegness constituency which UKIP might have a chance of winning.
Not even seen a poster for any party up here yet let alone a leaflet.
Fair enough this is a remote corner of the constituency but for all the fuss in the papers I thought we'd have seen something before now.

I also live in a "Solid Labour Area " and they did the very same ...and the leaflet was full of lies .....I hope Angela Eagle gets her arse booted out ...I don't care by who ....
Its only in the last few years I found out that many of the Welsh Childrens (abuse)homes were set up and funded by Wirral Borough Council

So Conservative late 70's and 80's MP Lynda Chalker (That's Baroness Chalker to the likes of us!) should also be bought in for questioning!
Angela Eagle got voted in 1992.
But Wirral Borough Council funding those homes... Doesn't surprise me in the slightest!

And the Conservative Alfred Earnest Maples might also be called in for questioning (If he's still alive! And if not, they can shift all the blame to him)

Mrs GMP takes the Daily Mail and that's full of pro Tory and anti Labour stories.
Each and every day recently.
Some pro UKIP comments in there as well but fewer each day as the election approaches.

They want labour in for the next economic collapse so we get a proper keynesian style response of printing and increasing the cost of living rather than cutting wasteful public services and handouts.

You can see why.
Almost every day there are pages and pages of womens' interest articles and features.
I do think that the Friday DM is good value though.
Tom Uttley is always worth reading and the books section is usually good.
We take the Times on Saturday and the Sunday Times the day after.
Invariably the book reviews in those two are rip and write adapted reviews of the same books from Friday's DM.

I agree some of the articles in the Mail are entertaining. The political propaganda annoys me though. I personally prefer the i Paper for 30p.

Not seen that iPaper but it is being advertised heavily on TV round here.
Must check it out.
Worst paper IMO is the Daily Express.
Now and again we can't get DM in the mornings so make do with an Express just for Mrs GMP's breakfast sudoku.
The rest of the paper is dreadful.
I tend not to read the politics pieces but those have been hard to miss recently in the DM as they shift into full on ' Vote Tory' mode.
Some of it is quite funny, they really do go a bit too far in leaving no 'knock the opposition' stone unturned.
They had a photo of Ed Milliband picking his nose this week.
Far too much information!

A swing to the left? I would almost say, "I hope so." That was the thing I worried the most about when I joined the forum here - almost up to a point of feeling guilty about it. I have my whole life been a leftie and I had the impression, mainly because of people like Alex Jones, that the truth movement or conspiracy theories were mostly the territory of the right. I have since I joined been able to do away with those feelings of guilt since I think it's fair to say that David and people here are just as critical of the so-called political right as the so-called political left. I have come to the conclusion that the truth movement is basically apolitical in that it welcomes people from all sides. I still am a leftie at heart, but the difference is that I find that the politicians from the left who are supposed to represent the ideas that I believe in are doing a very poor job. And those that are of a more right-wing persuasion probably think the same way about the folks that are supposed to represent them.
