Default UK driverless car projects get green light

UK driverless car projects get government green light.

Story

Two things:
What sort of bellend would be seen 'riding' in one of those death-traps?
and
The government has a £100m Intelligent Mobility Fund?!

There are people in this country sleeping in doorways and eating out of dustbins, but we're perfectly happy to blow £100m on toy cars?

Default

You'll notice that they've 'just' worked out that traffic lights cost Britain 16 billion pounds a year or so.

Enforcing driverless vehicle technology on everyone would allow centralized computers to take full control at major junctions and people could be whizzed through previously snarled up junctions at high speeds in full safety just like the White Helmet's display team.
