Default What's the best way to survive without SSI?

What's the best way to survive without SSI/Social Security? How do I calm down about the threatening letter Social Security sent me? They have been playing games since last year. Last year, they sent me a questionnaire about my disability, I sent it in, & then they made it like they lost my paperwork & made me send it in AGAIN! I did. AGAIN! & this year, then wanted me to have a friend/family member to fill out my paperwork. No one wanted to do it for me. I told them I didn't have anybody.

Now, they send me a threatening letter about cutting off my social security, saying I'm NOT disabled, & they want to do a MENTAL health evaluation.

I suffer OCD, anxiety, depression, Tourette's & hyperacusis, but I don't see a psychiatrist anymore because those meds do more harm than good, the psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, etc, are evil & don't care, & you don't have a right to switch therapists or meds if they aren't working.

I got frustrated & decided to turn to natural medicine. I feel afraid of losing my benefits, but I don't like the abuse I've gone through. I haven't seen a psychiatrist in almost 2 yrs.

I AM disabled, can't get a job. No one wants to hire me.

I'm afraid of being homeless again. Social Security system & psychiatry are frauds, anyway. Thanks to foster care, I'm now disabled, & still disabled @ age 30.

People will say it's MY fault, & that I did something WRONG by not complying with Social Security wanting me to see a psychiatrist.

I don't mind taking the exam, but I don't want to see a Big Pharma doctor on a regular basis & be pumped up with drugs all my life.

All you people against the Illuminati, NWO, etc. Y'all know what I'm talking about. I'm still learning survival & self-sufficiency.

What's the best way to deal with this?

Try to find someone who can do the paperwork for you if this is an issue. Also having someone to advocate on your behalf would help. Find out if there are any support groups you could utilise. If in the UK you could start off with the CAB. They are usually a good source of support and information about other more specialised support groups etc.

In a similar'ish situation. OCD/anxiety/intrusive thoughts (nearly all day), social phobias/other mental&emotional issues, headaches/migraines. Have been messed about for nearly a year now and on reduced money until the appeal, which I was likely to lose before it got more strict. (End of this month). Like you, psychiatrists/drugs are not me, and have been trying to to treat it naturally, but due to the situation I've been put under even more stress, and have...well, you can imagine the limits such a small pittance can have on your ability to buy healthy food.

The beginning of next month, things can only get worse as I meet the joys of JSA/workfare and having to waste valuable food money on getting to interviews for jobs I have no chance of getting, and that should I get that I would likely be fired from within weeks due to my mental issues. It's hard to believe I was actually getting better until they piled this crap on me.

Thanks for understanding. Same here. I also posted this on GodlikeProductions website, asking for advice, & I got attacked, being called a lazy bum & being told to get a job, also being told that I use my disability as a crutch/excuse, etc. I suffer OCD, anxiety, Tourette's, depression & hypersensitive ears (hyperacusis). I feel let down by the whole system. Sick of being FORCED to go to those pointless, unnecessary fake mental health groups every day that serve no purpose. Only 1 or 2 people gave me good feedback. I really DO want to become more self-sufficient. No one wants to hire me on the job, anyway. I have a college degree. Been busting my ass for YEARS looking for a job. McDonald's won't even hire me!

Thanks. I have no family & only 1 friend. My family all bully me because of my disability. I moved almost 2,000 miles away from all of them.

See a big pharma dr, get a prescription, get the meds and then flush them down the toilet.
