Let's not forget the ladies...

The slide guitar by Mississippi Fred McDowell on this track with Big Mama's vocals....smokin' hot,...gives me goosebumps.

Darn it! I couldn't resist posting some more classics.

Blind Willie McTell - Statesboro Blues
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnWxZtI3ONY

Mississippi John Hurt - Stack O' Lee Blues
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPPqB7XZUqs

Muddy Waters - Rollin' & Tumblin’
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Q2uTqB3lM

Howlin' Wolf - Smoke Stack Lightning
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ-upxjutX4

That last one's a remastered version. Sounds immense.

Those are all great. Blind Wille McTell has got to be my #1 bluesman. Was there ever a sweeter sound?

Yeah, it's difficult enough to play a 12 string acoustic, but to play it like that is something else. I got a 4CD box set of his, one of my faves too.

Not just his outrageously tasty guitar chops but his voice/the two together.

Yeah, agreed.

Here's his brother:

Blind Willie Johnson - Dark was the night...

Always liked the song Mississippi Blues. Here's the original version:

William Brown - Mississippi Blues
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K6XEtSA6xI

A great version of a song more famously done by Muddy Waters:

Skip James - Catfish Blues

Another haunting Skip James performance:

Skip James - Hard Time Killin' Floor Blues

And the Capt live on the beach:

Captain Beefheart & Magic Band - Sure 'nuff 'n Yes I do
