I enjoyed watching it...but.... check what the film says out yourselves, as there are statements that are wrong, or without factual backup. Such as "The Rothchilds are members of the golden dawn which is their coven" ..There is no proof what so ever that they are involved with golden dawn, or have been, or have come across in my research so far

A mother goddess was worshipped under a variety of names not only in the Ancient Near East and the Aegean and Anatolia, but also in pre-Islamic Arabia.

At an archaeological dig in Al-hadar near Nineveh in Iraq, archaeologist Father Lankester Merrin visits a site where a small stone resembling a grimacing, bestial creature is found. Merrin travels onward to find the strange statue of Pazuzu, which has a head similar to the one found earlier.

The name of the Assyrian moon god Su'en/Sîn is usually spelled as DEN.ZU.

Georgetown University is a private, Jesuit, research university whose main campus is in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Founded in 1789, it is the oldest Catholic university in the United States.

Aspects of the film are based upon a rite of exorcism performed by the Jesuit priest, Father William S. Bowdern, who formerly taught at both St. Louis University and St. Louis University High School.

Lightbulb Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus

"I will create as I speak."

Abrahadabra is a word that first publicly appeared in The Book of the Law, the central sacred text of Thelema. Its author, Aleister Crowley, described it as "the Word of the Aeon, which signifieth The Great Work accomplished." This is in reference to his belief that the writing of Liber Legis (another name for "The Book of the Law") heralded a new Aeon for mankind that was ruled by the god Ra-Hoor-Khuit (a form of Horus). Abrahadabra is, therefore, the "magical formula" of this new age. It is not to be confused with the Word of the Law of the Aeon, which is Thelema, meaning Will.

During an audience interview at the Edinburgh Book Festival , J. K. Rowling had this to say about the spell's etymology: "Does anyone know where avada kedavra came from? It is an ancient spell in Aramaic, and it is the original of abracadabra, which means 'let the thing be destroyed.' Originally, it was used to cure illness and the 'thing' was the illness, but I decided to make it the 'thing' as in the person standing in front of me. I take a lot of liberties with things like that. I twist them round and make them mine."

Avada Kedavra is based on the Aramaic עַבְדָא כְּדַברָא, avda kedavra, meaning "what was said has been done." This phrase is also the origin of abracadabra, which, like hocus pocus, is used by magicians as a magic word when they perform tricks.

It was used as a magical formula by the Gnostics of the sect of Basilides in invoking the aid of beneficent spirits against disease and misfortune. It is found on Abraxas stones which were worn as amulets. Subsequently, its use spread beyond the Gnostics.

Lightbulb Drawing Down the Moon

Drawing down the Moon (also known as drawing down the Goddess) is a ritual central to many contemporary Wiccan traditions. During the ritual, a coven's High Priestess enters a trance and requests that the Goddess or Triple Goddess, symbolized by the moon, enter her body and speak through her. The High Priestess may be aided by the High Priest, who invokes the spirit of the Goddess.

During her trance, the High Priestess speaks and acts as the Goddess.

In contemporary traditions, some solitary Wiccans also perform the ritual, usually within a circle and performed under the light of a full Moon. The solitary will stand in the Goddess Pose (both arms held high, palms up, body and arms forming a 'Y') and recite a charge, or chant.

The Jewish Passover occurs during the full moon.

Lightbulb First Degree of Illumination/Moon Oracle

Cathedral of St. James at Compostela (Moon Oracle) - base chakra

As each Chakra is energetically opened the student, spiritually speaking makes progress.

The First degree initiation was the result that flowed spiritually from the awakening of the base Chakra that connects us with the earth and physical reality, according to tradition it can only be opened after the attainment of true humility, for this is the chakra that keeps us rooted.

The first degree ,The Raven, symbolised the messenger of the gods.it was thus that the new candidate achieved through inner toil, the first stage of soul conversion through which gained capacity to receive messages from spirits in the Divine world. The Raven also represented the messenger of the mystery cults who had learned to express the visual in images which could be understood at different levels by both the outside world and by the initiated.

American Indians associated Raven with magick, a powerful medicine or power that gives courage to enter the void, the Great Mystery where Great Spirit resides. When Raven appears, there will be a positive change in consciousness. Raven guards ritual magick and healing.

Raven brought light into the darkness of the world and transformed and created part of Maka, Mother Earth. He named plants and taught animals.

Raven is the hallmark of shape-shifting. Raven could see all and find things that are hidden.

Lightbulb In the Ancient World

The crescent is one of the oldest symbols known to humanity. Together with the sun, it appeared on Akkadian seals as early as 2300 BC and from at least the second millennium BC it was the symbol of the Mesopotamian Moon gods Nanna in Sumer and Sin in Babylonia, Sin being the "Lamp of Heaven and Earth"

Artemis was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities. Her Roman equivalent is Diana.

As Selene she is associated with the Moon, and as Phoebe her name was borrowed for a moon of Saturn.

The sacrifice of a bear for Artemis started from the Brauron cult. Every year, a little girl age between five and ten dressed in saffron robes was sent to Artemis' temple at Brauron. Arktos e Brauroniois, a text by, Suidas, a Byzantine writer, told a legend about a bear that was tamed by Artemis, and introduced to people of Athens. They touched it and played with it, until one day a group of young girls poked the bear which became furious and attacked the girls.

Supernumerary selene the 3rd...

Day 6 of 16 of Mounikhion (tenth month) a celebration of her as the goddess of nature and animal. A goat was being sacrificed to her.

On June 7, 2007, a Roman era bronze sculpture of “Artemis and the Stag” was sold at Sotheby’s auction house in New York state by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery for $25.5 million.

A minor planet, (105) Artemis; a lunar crater; the Artemis Chasma and the Artemis Corona (both on Venus) have all been named for her.
