Don't be taken in by this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-44288503

It would have been impressive if the trial had been successful on its primary* (it failed and the FDA had to issue a clinical hold) and secondary endpoints (it looks like this failed too after seeing the data in the publication).

Presenting blended, blinded data (which you can read here https://translational-medicine.biome...967-018-1507-6) instead of the actual trial results is spectacularly unimpressive. There is no serious expert who looks at this situation and says anything good about it. What's worse is that the company never issued a PR and if the US NCI hadn't written this https://www.cancer.gov/news-events/c...y-glioblastoma then we would have never known that the trial had finished.

(* The only way for the secondary to succeed is if it has been adequately powered).

How the fuck would anyone know,

Did they grind the seeds? Did they process them in anyway. Did they just extract the active ingredient? Did they 'oxidise' after preparation...
Lots of ways for the PISS reviewed dumbarses to rig the results.

My father was diagnosed with throat cancer, he bought apricots and saved the seeds and ate a handfull a day until the next appointment where surgery was to be scheduled. It was cancelled and dont give me that spontaneous remission crap dumbcritic.

I see Dumbcritics Mind Programming fake beliefs

My father told me the Joke which was popular in the 70's as the Govt took control of the education system and introduced a License to buy and sell, like have a License to be a motor mechanic, or a health care consultant. you know them days when you could hang a SIGN out front and you lived by your REPUTATION, (instead of a govt monopolized License system)

Dumbcritic believe the 3 biggest Lies in the world..

1... The Checks in the Mail
2... My Wife doesnt understand me

and the biggest Lie of ALL

3... I AM FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND I AM HERE TO HELP YOU.

Why is it that the loudest critics of ''Big Pharma'' are those who think outside the box are are willing to take control of their own Health and are PENALIZED in doing so by being unable to publish their findings?

I destroyed dumbcritic for years in the Rick Simpson oil thread. He knows for a fact he is spouting propaganda. He has no understanding of science despite the sciencey things he is always spamming. Proof is in the thread. It was so EASY. He is stubborn so I had to counter his lies over and over till he finally bit it for good but all that took is a little tenacity.

The US NCI conducted a trial. From the paper I cited: ''No substantive benefit was observed in terms of cure, improvement or stabilization of cancer, improvement of symptoms related to cancer, or extension of life span. The hazards of amygdalin therapy were evidenced in several patients by symptoms of cyanide toxicity or by blood cyanide levels approaching the lethal range.''

A preparation was produced by the US NCI Pharmaceutical Resources Branch and verified by a variety of tests. The dosage was based on the published recommendations of Krebs, Jr., and the Bradford Foundation.

This happens in research labs within universities and pharma companies everyday!

'Today we discovered a cure for a type of cancer. In this breakthrough we can bring great fame and fortune to ourselves and our institution, earn a place in history, a likely trip to Sweden to be awarded the Nobel Prize, followed by interviews worldwide, plus we can extend and improve the lives of millions of people, including members of our own families, friends and potentially ourselves. But our 'overlords' will not be pleased. So best rig the results!'

It was disproven https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/...jclin.54.2.110

As for spontaneous regression/remission, it's hardly ''crap'' as there are many case reports/series in the literature and based on some of the mechanisms pharma are testing a wide range of drugs. One of these (ADU-S100) is well-tolerated in a heavily pre-treated, heterogenous patient population. Two of 40 had a partial response and 11 achieved stable disease. Of the latter 4 are still receiving treatment. Based on preclinical data (which isn't a lot to go on) other agents should work much better (see the two boxes at the bottom of the slide) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DtUqr7-WsAAkxFv.jpg and https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...300744350.html

Another (G100) is going into a pivotal trial in fNHL patients who have failed three lines of prior therapy. Initial data will be known in Q4. Other trials in B and T-cell lymphomas and different solid cancers (cervical, CRC, melanoma, HNSCC and STS) will start soon. The company is working on an additional intratumoral treatment as well http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/co...upplement/4884

There you have it people. How the PISS or PEER reviewed trials are RIGGED

I knew we could count on you to provide how they rig the tests.

They just cant use fresh raw apricot kernels as it might do something they cant explain so lets Process them first.

wonders if Dumb can get any dumber.

It was tried as an anticancer agent back in the late 1800s, but was discarded due to it being ineffective and too toxic. During the early 1950s, Krebs, Sr., and his son began using a ''purified'' form. Of course that was ineffective and toxic as well.

I call this BS on your part. Just parroting someone else's BS.

Please provide the tests they determine toxicity beside a frequency meter to determine levels of the frequency of Cyanide. Which has nothing to do with determining toxicity. Any LD50 reports. Tests ANYTHING?

Dumcritic's preferred medicines aren't too toxic but apricot seeds are the devil(!)

Any pharma company testing that would have simply discarded the substance due to it being useless and killing healthy cells better than cancer cells. Since the quacks have gotten a hold on it, I know they never, ever, discard a treatment, no matter useless, or even harmful it is.

In the CheckMate 017 trial Docetaxel (a type of chemo) was tested against Nivolumab (a type of immunotherapy) in those with non-small cell lung cancer. Forty-two percent treated with the immunotherapy are alive at 1 year vs. 24% treated with chemo. At year two its 30% vs. 10%. Not only that, but Nivolumab had a better response rate (more tumour shrinkage) and less serious/life-threatening adverse events (7% vs. 55%) https://www.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJMoa1504627

Around 16% in the Nivolumab arm lived for more than five years, about four times what is typically expected for patients treated with Docetaxel http://ascopubs.org/doi/full/10.1200/JCO.2017.77.0412

So yes, there are risks with Nivolumab, but the benefits on the whole outweigh them. The key is now building on this and trying to improve survival. I know some early human data on an inhaled immunotherapy combined with Nivolumab will be presented in the next few months at a major medical meeting (likely AACR). Preclinical wise the two had a synergistic effect and most mice were cured http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/78/17/4943

I presume you work in big Pharma in some capacity, and if this is correct - I have a very simple question for you.

If there was a cheap and very effective cure for cancer found that any big Pharma organisation could not profit from and render all of their products obsolete then would you welcome it?

Yes or no?

"Yes" or "no" are the only two answers allowed to my question.
