Default Green Day and Evanescence - your opinion.

These are my 2 favorite bands but I've been wondering, mostly about Green Day, if they use subliminals in their music and if they do what kind of. I want to believe no nasty ones but the kind that just makes their music more appealing on subconscious level. Well, Green Day clearly promoted war, at least once (Wake me up when september ends clip). But I still really like some of their songs and truly hope there's no pedo/satanic stuff hidden in them. But if I get convinced otherwise I'll stop listening them. If you have examples of subliminals in their lyrics and images/videos, as well as those of Evanescence', please post them.

Evanescence are more depressing than Pink Floyd & The Smiths put together.

Billie ray bob jr the 3rd or what ever his name is, is a controlled crack head.

Listen to the Pistols if you want PUNK.

Sex Pistols were controlled to the fullest though, surely?

I don't think either band use subliminals, nothing I've noticed. I know HIM do though.

I'd tend to agree...
Haven't heard much from HIM lately, but know someone who is a huge fan and would be extremely jealous

Wake Me Up When September Ends is not pro-war at all. It's more mournful, if anything.

There's nothing "evil" about either of those two bands. If you like them, you like them. Why do you need people to tell you if music you like is "safe" or not? Are you an adult or still in elementary school?

I really respect REM for knowing when to call it a day and split up.

Green day however, are the opposite of this. IMO they went from one of the greatest bands to one of the worst bands out there.

I like to treat American Idiot as their last album, everything after that has totally blown .

U2 and red hot Chilli Peppers are other examples of this.

Evanescence are good though

Whether or not all the bands I've mentioned use subliminals though? - well the fact that they are all regularly broadcast in music videos on main stream music channels - I don't think you could really put it past them do you? They probably don’t even know about it half the time.

I think your right Luten, the record companies who issue the videos are above the bands, in terms of creative control, so they can add whatever subliminals they want. There are also inaudible frequencies they can add it in post production to the music on the radio so it disturbs the listeners brain wave patterns. I don't really know much about the science of this, maybe someone can correct me, but when you listen to music on earphones, it is possible to apply alternating frequencies to the brain through the earpieces, which can cause hypnotic trances.
Do you think this technology is being applied covertly to Cd's mp3s and radio broadcasts? As most people use ipods now, it's the perfect form of subliminal programming!!
