Not personally a fan of audio books but if helps the material reach a wider audience then definitely, yes.

Audio 'books' is an oxymoron.
We read books and we listen to radio.
Listening ain't reading and vice versa.

Audio books are useful aids for those with literacy problems of which there are many and also for the on-the-go types who just don't read books at all but do a lot of driving or other manual tasks, like shaving or car washing, which would enable listening.

Audio books serve a purpose for me as i actually see the written word as having magical properties.Reading a book correctly casts a sort of spell on you and i aint ready for David Iche to cast spells on me yet .Audio listening is a kind of equivalent to sight reading to help become familiar with what the author and you guys talk about ...very useful in a car

New words are entering the psyche all the time whilst reading a new book ...the word smiths are very adept at swaying the mind and often so good its a case of "out of sight out of mind"

Audio books are a great way to occupy you on a trip. It takes a bit of getting used to adding a book to driving. When you start, start with short trips and use roads you are used to.

No because I read his material in depth. It gives the reader chance to grasp material as opposed to be thrown all sorts of apples and oranges at once. I read, take notes and thats it. Some people I guess are lazy and prefer audio books. Please buy books they make the world go round! Buying audio of an author is just saying he is not worth reading them !!!

there's definitely audiobooks out there.
I was downloading a talk for my mp3 player and discovered it was an audio of one of his books by that freaky robotic voice.

There wouldn't be the market for it to justify the work involved ....

But anyway there are hundreds of DI videos , most of which the visuals are just him opening and shutting his mouth , which is not needed . Use them .

Isn't there a computer program that will strip the audio from videos? Seems to me I had one in the past that could either save the video or audio. Can't remember the name. Bought it from the net and finally deleted it. The kids used it for Karaoke music. Do a couple of Davids documentaries, files are very easy to convert to the format you need. Excellent to have material straight from the author.

Audio books would be useful for visually impaired and blind, but then again I don't know if it's worth it in terms of cost/profit.

As others above mentioned it's super easy to extract audio from video lectures (if you already have them locally) and listen on the road.
If the video lectures are on youtube for example then you can easily download only audio track without video.

I just wish he'd publish more on Kindle. A lot easier — and better for the planet — than lugging those dead tree tomes around.

You can find all of his books on-line for free. (pdf, mobi, epub) Even the latest one "Everything You Need to Know But Have Never Been Told".

I'd rather not steal them, thanks.
