Motability chiefs have defended hoarding public money – by suggesting disabled motorists would simply spend extra cash on food. The car scheme for the disabled has piled up £2.5billion in reserves and paid directors huge salaries and bonuses. It is now under pressure to return the unused cash.

People suffering from a range of conditions ranging from serious heart conditions to loss limbs are having mobility cars snatched away from them and sold in private auctions. The government hopes to save £2bn as a result of the switch from DLA to PIPs ....

I expect they need more funds to pay for their expensive breakfasts.

There's an article in the MSM today about ex Corrie actor Bruce Jones slamming Universal Credit as he says he had to wait 5 weeks to receive his money. Apparently said ex star once had 1 million after he left the soap but had since been left without. His own fault and at least he had that of money unlike the rest of us who do proper work. These people only cry wolf when it's affecting them and they aren't well off anymore because they've lost their media limelight.

I actually know Ian (Bruce Jones) He is the first person to admit he is useless with money and always has been. And he's not always been an actor he used to be a boiler maintenance man and grew up on Langley housing estate so he's known poverty before.

I met him once in my local area. I was walking down the road and I saw him standing outside one of the pubs. I said "Oh you played Les Battersby in Coronation street. Oh you did make me laugh!" ( Which is true, he really did used to make me laugh). Bruce was quite shy and quietly spoken, and said "Thank you very much." I wished him all the best and carried on walking up the road (I was on my way home).

Anyone who expects the govt to solve their problems gets exactly what they deserve.

Everyone has problems in life. Some people have much worse problems than others. That's just life. If you're one of these people, please understand it's likely that's why you're here in the first place, to be put through a test of hardship to learn some lesson you never learned in a previous life. You go through the misery now, take responsibility for your own lot and your own actions instead of demanding that others carry you through life and maybe next time you come back as someone who goes through life smooth sailing.

In order to become a Doctor, I first have to go through grade school and high school studying and doing well enough to get into a college where I can major in pre-med, while most students are goofing off. Then, I have to borrow about $250,000 to get through college, med school, and residency where I have to work my fucking ass off to get grades good enough to get my license. Then, when I finally get a practice, I have to work about 12 hours a day because of all the Leftist govt paperwork that's tacked onto my job. On top of that, my job requires I spend at least 2 hours a day keeping up with new information and procedures.

And now we have whole generations of people coming along who think they should be able to get my time and expertise for free because they have this insane idea that "health care is a right".

What's next? Maybe if they don't have a job that pays enough to get a car they should be able to just walk into a dealership and demand one for free.

I've known quite a few disabled people throughout the years (and I work with one at the moment), and although they find life a struggle and know the council/local authority can be a pain in the arse, they've never got to the level of problems that are talked about here.

I work with an Aspergers person (have done for 10 years now) and he has constant support and help from his family and the local council. He has been able to live independently as much as possible, with assistance from myself, other carers and his family and has been able to have his own accomodation. Hes just moved in to a brand new bungalow that's owned by the council as his family feels that's the best option for him. As far as I'm aware he has never had any major problems getting support of financial assistance.

I'm not saying this happens to everyone, but i think if you don't tow the line so to speak and are pain in the arse to the benefits system/council, then you're gonna get no help.
