Default Journalists for Hire : How the CIA buys news by Udo Ulfkotte

Does anyone have a copy of this book which they could post a pdf of? Been trying to get a hand on this for very long but its been thoroughly suppressed throughout the web. Would be much appreciated.

I don't know the book, but the following article from 1977 could be a good introduction on this topic...

Many journalists who covered World War II were close to people in the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the wartime predecessor of the CIA.
The CIA recruited many journalists (also foreign) to gather information. They were also fed information (including false) by the CIA, to be published or passed through to for example politicians.

Several executives cooperated with the CIA: Williarn Paley of CBS, Henry Luce of Tirne Inc., Arthur Hays Sulzberger of the New York Times, Barry Bingham Sr. of the LouisviIle Courier Journal, and James Copley of the Copley News Service.
Other “news” organizations that cooperated with the CIA include: ABC, NBC, Associated Press (AP), United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps Howard, Newsweek, Mutual Broadcasting System, Miami Herald and the Saturday Evening Post and New York Herald Tribune.

Carl Bernstein also named the following US journalists as CIA assets: Joseph Alsop, Stewart Alsop, Jerry O’Leary, and Hal Hendrix: http://carlbernstein.com/magazine_cia_and_media.php

Thanks for that Jimmy. I am already aware about the extent to which the CIA influences media among other things as I am a long time reader of Davids books. Just been frustrating that I can't even find a pdf of this book online, forget a copy.

When I used to work at the Guardian during the Blair era I would often see Tone making an entry through the back door to have 'meetings'...

It's going to be nearly impossible to find a copy of that book. Available on amazon for 900$ though...

Best I could find was this 'google translated' pdf if you're interested.
