Billie-Jo Margaret Jenkins (29 March 1983 – 15 February 1997) was an English girl who was murdered at the age of 13. The case gained widespread media attention and remains unsolved to this day..Billie-Jo was brought up in east London. On 15 February 1997 Billie-Jo was battered over the head with an iron TenT peg, while painting patio doors at the family home in Hastings, East Sussex. She was alone in the garden. The family were out.Siôn Jenkins has always denied killing her. He told police that he found her in a pool of blood on the patio when he returned from a shopping trip with two of his daughters, Annie and Charlotte ("Lottie")..

The police charged Siôn Jenkins with the murder and he was convicted in July 1998. Investigative journalist Bob Woffinden believed that it was a miscarriage of justice. At the retrial, some experts stated that the 158 blood spots could have come from Billie-Jo's airways as Jenkins tended to Billie-Jo. The jury was unable to come to a majority verdict after 39 hours of deliberating. A second retrial was likewise unable to reach a majority verdict, and at the Old Bailey in London, on 9 February 2006 Siôn Jenkins was officially declared not guilty. The Crown Prosecution Service indicated that no further retrials of Jenkins would be sought, and he was formally acquitted...

The police investigation, trials and appeals are estimated to have cost £10m. Seven hundred witness statements were taken by the police, jurors spent 36 days deliberating in three trials, and Jenkins spent 11 days in the witness box giving evidence..

Patricia had, in fact, gone to the Barrowland Ballroom for the over-25s night. It was not until about eight weeks after Docker's killing that the police found out that she had actually gone to the Barrowlands. By that time, memories had faded. On 31 October 1969, 29-year-old Helen Puttock was found murdered in Earl Street in Scotstoun. She had also been to the Barrowland Ballroom on the night she was murdered; she had gone there with her sister, Jean, and had met two men called John. One said he was from Castlemilk while the other did not disclose where he was from. After being in their company for well over an hour, they left to head home. Castlemilk John walked to George Square to get a bus, while Helen, Jean and "Bible John" hailed a taxi. They crossed the city to Knightswood where Jean got out. The taxi then continued to Earl Street in Scotstoun where Helen lived. The next morning, Helen's battered body was found in the back garden of her flat in Earl Street. She had been raped and strangled. The contents of her handbag had been scattered nearby but the actual bag was missing.The suspect was described by Helen's sister Jean as being a well-dressed young man, tall, slim and with reddish/fair hair, and described as being polite, well-dressed and well-spoken. She said the stranger had given his name as "John Templeton" or "Sempleson" and that he had frequently quoted from the Bible during the taxi ride home. He was reported to have said: “I don’t drink at Hogmanay, I pray,” and to have referred to Moses and his father’s belief that dancehalls were “dens of iniquity”

It is not universally accepted that the three killings were the work of the same person. It has been claimed that the gap of 18 months between the first two killings is unusual with serial killers, the later two may have been copycat killings, and the police may even have hampered their own investigation by prematurely jumping to the conclusion that they were the work of the same person. Professor David Wilson, an expert in criminal behaviour, has stated that the 18 month gap is not unusual following a serial killer's first murder. Wilson investigated the case for three years and believes the available evidence supports that Peter Tobin is Bible John..

So according to this if 800k Children go missing a year (give or take) and it has been consistent for this many years. Out of 24,000,000 missing children in 30 years they've recovered 175,200. Where are the rest? Where are the 23,824,800 Leftover? These "kidnappers" just lost 23 million bodies? Or nobody has recognized any?

While looking for the statistics on how many people just disappear each year around the globe, the one thing that has become apparent is the sheer disappointment and heart ache that follows.

Here are some facts from the U.S. released in October 2002.

58,000 abducted by non family members
115 victims to stereotypical kidnappings that result in ransom demands and death or the kidnapper indents to keep the child.

This shows children in the U.S. only. So what are the world wide children and adult numbers likely to be?

1 million children are reported missing in the US and the UK every year. If lees than 200 of these are murdered, where do all the rest go? This would be like losing the population of a city such as Amsterdam every year.

Perhaps Belgium may have the answers as this would seem to be the leader in global trafficking of children and woman. Belgium may be a small country consisting of around ten million people but, in the Brussels region it was revealed that 1,300 children disappeared between 1991 and 1996. The same repeating story is told all over the world. Multi-millions of children are going missing every year, they are never seen, heard of or found.

35,439 bodies found dead. All of them were unidentified. This was in India 2000. Over the years there had been a massive increase in the number of woman who are disappearing too. Its assumed that this is directly linked with the sex industry. Although we cant place all the blame here.

When looking for information about the number of people worldwide who go out one day and never return home, you come across lots of statistics for children but not many focus on adults. This is most probably because adults have more choices. Many of them choose to become lost. There are those who fall into the wrong company and many who are taken for the sex industry against their own free will. Some will even have mental health issues or commit suicide. The Freeway Killer was a nickname given by the media—and later police forces—to what they believed was a single serial killer claiming victims in California, USA, during the 1970s and often dumping the victims along the freeways. However, there turned out to be three Freeway Killers who operated independently of each other, but just happened to select similar victims from similar locations. Initially, police did not believe these were the product of any serial killer, insisting the murders were isolated incidents..

The three killers were:

Patrick Kearney, captured 1977\His first murder was a hitchhiker he had picked up, tortured and killed in 1965.
William Bonin and several accomplices, captured 1980/After high school and joining the U.S Air Force, Bonin was in and out of prison for assaulting and raping young boys.
Randy Steven Kraft, captured 1983 was enlisted in the U.S Air Force.

All three Freeway Killers selected young males as victims, often picking them up from roadside bars or hitch-hiking along the freeways. Their methods did vary; Bonin sexually assaulted the victims then killed them to prevent witnesses, Kearney shot his victims quickly then indulged in dismemberment and necrophilia, whilst Kraft was a sadist who tortured many of his victims after drugging them.

The trio of killers claimed at least 110 victims between them. None of them knew each other during their crime sprees, although Bonin and Kraft became acquainted while on Death Row...

Police in Italy say they have dismantled an international ring that conspired to kidnap children involved in custody battles.

A police statement said those involved were special forces veterans whose commando-style tactics "put the child's life at risk".

They charged tens of thousands of dollars for the abductions from North Africa to Europe using high-speed boats, police said.

Several people have been arrested.

The disappearance of Ben Needham (born 29 October 1989 in Sheffield) occurred on 24 July 1991 when the 21-month-old British child went missing on the Greek island of Kos.. Despite numerous reported sightings over the years, no trace of him has ever been found.. It is one of the longest missing persons cases in British history...

On the day of his disappearance Ben had been left in the care of his grandparents while his mother went to work at a local hotel. He was playing outside a farmhouse the family were renovating when, at approximately 2.30 in the afternoon, the adults realised he had disappeared...



In 2003, private investigator Ian Crosby made a visit to Kos with Ben's uncle Danny, and further visits to meet with Greece police. Crosby has also investigated a photograph, sent to him by a holidaymaker who visited Turkey in 1999, which depicts a number of Turkish village children, including a blond boy who resembles the age-progression photo of what Ben might look like aged 13.. Crosby said "I get many hundreds of reports every year from people on holiday who think they have seen Ben. It is impossible to investigate many of these claims. The family of a toddler who went Missing on her birthday in 1981 are taking part in the filming of a new television appeal to be broadcast around the world.

Katrice Lee was two when she vanished from a supermarket in Germany, close to a military base where her father Richard, from Hartlepool, was based.

Mr Lee, Katrice's mother Sharon and her sister Natasha are filming interviews in Southampton for a German programme.

The film could find the "missing link", Mr Lee said.

Mr Lee said a reconstruction would be filmed in Germany and the film will be shown in countries including Canada, Australia and America.

Katrice's older sister Natasha said: "We're hoping someone will hopefully think 'Oh my gosh, I think I'm Katrice', or the people who abducted her might actually have a conscience."

Mr Lee was stationed at Paderborn and was a sergeant in the British Army.

For months now, the independent press has been carrying reports of the disappearance of young children, mostly from Egypt’s rural provinces. On Apr. 11 2 children from the Sharqiya province vanished without a trace; on Apr. 28, 4 young children – 3 of them under 6 years old – were reported missing in the northern city Mansoura. Dozens of other cases have been reported through this period..

According to sources cited in the local press, the cases have been most frequent in 4 Nile Delta provinces – Daqliya, Qalioubiya, Sharqiya and Gharbia – in addition to the Upper Egyptian provinces Minya and Beni Sueif. Precise numbers are difficult to ascertain, but 10 children reportedly went missing in the Upper Egyptian city Sohag – just south of Minya – in March alone..
