Nearly 800,000 children (younger than 18) go missing each year in the US, on average 2,185 children reported missing each day. Now lets just say a mere 1% of the 800,000 are abducted for sacrifice (so we're accounting for children abducted by family members, children who run away, get lost, are killed in the conventional sense, up for ransom, etc.)... 1% of 800,000 is still 8,000 children a year!!!

For over a century until 1968 when the practice stopped, the Church of England, Methodists, Catholics, National Childrens Homes and Barnardoes migrated children in their care to care of total strangers in Australia and Canada. The total figure is estimated to be in the tens of thousands.

Worse, far worse, these charities falsified the childrens' records, changed their names and dates of birth, such that when they migrated they became untraceable... Such alterations would arguably have facilitated disappearances of children for other uses than simple emigration, whether or not various staff were aware of that.. And the effect on the churches themselves, going on my own personal experience as a child raised in care of the Church of England, is that a culture of official mendacity sprang up which persists to this day.

Thus be invited to contact the Church of England Children's Society, and the other agencies, and very sweetly ask them for year-on-year figures for children trafficked as against children received at destination... "After all", you can argue, "this trafficking was legitimized by the Duke of Gloucester in his role as president of the Anglican C-Soc.."

(BTW this forum has been very healing for me - that I am not alone in my experiences.)

I want to remind the House of one thing that the debate has not covered so far.
Last year, 532 children were abducted, about half of whom, it is estimated,were abducted by strangers. We do not know what happens to them; there are no statistics.
That worries me a great deal, because we are probably talking not only about abduction, but child exploitation.
Goodness knows what happens to these children. We must not forget them.
