If i find out that my med data has been put on there i'm getting the guys together for a Hack-job.

I'll also make sure they can't upload anyone elses.

How do they think they can get away with this type of thing?????

Got mine through the post recently. Came with an opt-out form attached. I have til early next year to decide if i want in or not.

The letter came with a leaflet. I find parts of it alarming, including the part that says deletion of your record may not be possible once created. WTF!! why is that? its bullshit.

The part that is most alarming though is the part about children. I'l quote from the NHS Leaflet -

"Children and the Summary Care Record

Children will automatically have a Summary Care Record made for them.

If you do not want your child to have a Summary Care Record you will need to fill in an opt out form on behalf of your child and return it to your child's GP practice.

In some circumstances your GP may feel it is in your child's best interests to have a Summary Care Record. For example, if your child has a serious allergy that healthcare staff treating your child should know about."

So that means the GP decides for your child, not you. And with the previously mentioned lack of willing to delete records already made, this means that your child will have a Summary Care Record for life without ever having made a choice themselves. When they become adults, they will be stuck with a choice made for them.

This whole thing stinks.

Double check that the Opt Out Code has actually been applied it is 93C3

It will come a stage when you are walking down the street and the police will be able to scan you. All your details will show up on a nice handy screen inside the car .

They can do this already but only with cars but i don't think it will be long before they are able to just scan people too
