Wouldn't it be great if nothing in this world or reality could worry you or make you upset or fearful.

Almost like a very good 3-d computer game where you knew it was fake and nothing could happen to you.

The problem is pain. Pain brings us back to know this cannot be.

Is pain guiding us? Is pain our greatest teacher? The universe wants us to go in a certain direction, therefore if we deviate from this path results in pain to guide us back.

A bit like a mother smacking a child, is the universe being cruel to be kind?

You have an excellent point. This must be explored.

Does pain lose power the moment someone disidentifies with it. That is the question. If it holds true for thoughts and emotions, does it hold true for pain.

Taking this up a notch.

Does awareness lose its power the moment you disidentify with it?

Does the Matrix lose its power over you when you give up your identification with awareness?

How do you stop identifying with awareness?

Stop believing reality and awareness is real.

Mad Cool hey?

If thoughts lose their power when you stop believing in them and reality is constructed via thoughts, then all you have to do is stop believing in reality.

Some people just constantly ask questions whilst living, breathing, seeing...tasting...smelling all of life is simply happening in this moment.

Ofcourse the questions and thinking and ideas and seeking etc. seem very important to an entity which delights in constantly drawing attention to itself.

And the wonderful thing about this 'game', is that: that is also life in this moment in it's amazingly convincing and repetitive way.

The very breath drawn, to ask the question, is already the answer.

Like an answer without a question.

It's simple, elementary and the most obvious thing.

Sometimes it's so obvious, we seem to pretend that it's not, and start trying to find it again (thereby making it appear complicated) just for the fun of it.

Pain is unresolved issues.

Also, Enlightenment is not something to be achieved but rather a state of being that should be acknowledged.

Going past the 'NOW' into non-existence. Moving to the eight chakra in infinite space above the head.

I have been drawn back to Advaita Vedanta and Zen Buddhism time and time again. The teachings seem to ring true to me.
