I didn't believe it was a hoax at first. My life has revolved around him for so long. I was genuinely in grief. My local paper interviewed me! My FB feed was clogged with messages of condolence as though a family member had died. I felt like the bottom had fallen out of my world.

However ... seeing the Jack Steven clip.... I have never studied anyone's face as much as Bowie's. Since I was 14 ... i've been a pretty obsessive fan. I caught a glimpse of Jack Steven online and just assumed it was Bowie with a wig! I thought: "Wow! How come I've never seen this picture/footage", so I watched in disbelief. It's him allright. And let's face it ... Bowie (the ultimate trixter) is more likely to fake his own death an appear the day after than anyone else we know!

He is that narcissistic, much as I love him!

Why pick Jack Steven? Nobody's ever heard of the man! Would they not have been better off picking someone closer to him or a label he's worked for?

I don't think it's necessarily illuminati based - think he just wanted to draw a line under his public life and retire properly. And I hope that is the case. I'd rather think of him happy somewhere than having died a painful death x

You know there's a new film come out called Elvis & Nixon documenting their liaison when Elvis was interested in becoming an undercover FBI Drugs agent, Nixon gave him an honorary badge to boost his own Presidential kudos wiv yoof. Book I read does shed some plausibility on the Elvis is still alive myth, retiring from Rock'n'roll ( and drugs) (and life) and assuming a new identity as an FBI man. Many of the sightings of him occur around drugs raids when he's seen.

beautiful...!

But not his last performance.
Sorry for being a smart ass... but this was from "Fashion Rocks" 2005, where he also played with Arcade Fire two more songs.

But this one is from November 9th, 2006, from the "Black Ball"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9Rny-V5zvQ
(unfortunately I just found this audience recording - but better than nothing)

And, his very last performance was singing the "little fat man" song in May 2007, for introducing Ricky Gervais at the High Line festival...

Very appropriate with all the electioneering going on. Besides that, it's a cool, soulful piece.

He's everybody's token, on everybody's wall
Blessing all the papers, thanking one and all
Hugging all the babies, kissing all the ladies
Knowing all that you think about from writing on the wall

He's so divine, his soul shines
Breaks the night, sleep tight
His ever loving face smiles on the whole human race
He says "I'm somebody"
He's got his eye on your soul, his hand on your heart
He says "Don't hurry, baby
Somebody up there (somebody) likes me"

There's something about that album cover projecting how Donald Trump would like to look: Legendary all American, golden quiffed glory boy...you could photoshop it, age it 50 years, with Donny in similar pose, call it Old Americans ...

Is David Bowie still alive? Here's the interview with "Jack Steven" after Bowie's death.
