Question hey

How is meditation different from relaxation, thinking, concentration or self-hypnosis?

meditation is the transcendent path of self-discovery, gaining spiritual prowess and self-knowledge.

meditation accomplishes things that relaxation, thinking and the others can not do alone. in other words, the physical activities bind you to the material world. spiritual activities set you free therefore real meditation is transcendent.

the problem you face is discovering and/or following someone else to the truth. everyone wants to be a leader these days, although no one knows where they are going.

what are you willing to do in order to find your true self? to discover true peace of mind? equanimity? and all the rest?
