Default Creating Artifical Intelligence: summoning a demon

As we wrap our globe in internet connections like the synapses of a giant brain we are also becoming increasingly dependent on computers and technology

The technology itself can increasingly be operated remotely through RF frequency wifi

Parallel to this is the rise of robotics with a military application through DAARPA and the creation of a drone army which is expanding in scope and ability

Whistleblowers have blown open the extent to which our lives are completely transparent through computerisation

When you combine all this with the talk of the coming 'singularity' where computing power will outstrip human brain power and the aggressive push towards the creation of Artifical Intelligence, then a picture emerges

A picture of the infrastructure of an all powerful technological being which is just waiting to have its brain installed and for life to be breathed into it

Once the AI goes online (if it isn't already) it will have complete oversight and power over human affairs

Is technology the electro-magnetic portal through which inter-dimensional entities can physically enter our dimension and rule it like a god?

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has warned that the creation of AI is the summoning of a 'demon'

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has described artificial intelligence as a “demon” and the “biggest existential threat there is”, in his latest dramatic statement about technology.

Addressing students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Musk said: “I think we should be very careful about artificial intelligence. If I were to guess like what our biggest existential threat is, it’s probably that.

“With artificial intelligence we are summoning the demon. In all those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram and the holy water, it’s like yeah he’s sure he can control the demon. Didn’t work out.”

The business magnate, inventor and investor, who is also CEO and CTO of SpaceX, and chairman of SolarCity, has warned about artificial intelligence before, which he believes could be more threatening than nuclear weapons.

In August he tweeted: “Worth reading Superintelligence by Bostrom. We need to be super careful with AI. Potentially more dangerous than nukes.”
