Arrow Century 21 Sting

Joe 90 is set in the near future..The timeframe is most commonly stated to be 2012 and 2013; various other sources point to an undetermined year in the early 21st century, while the official scriptwriters' guide states that the year is 1998.. Based on visual evidence, the events of "The Unorthodox Shepherd" occur in 2013..Nine-year-old British schoolboy Joe McClaine is the adopted son of Professor Ian "Mac" McClaine, a computer expert.. Outwardly, the McClaines are a simple father-and-son pair, who live in an antiquated Elizabethan-style cottage overlooking Culver Bay in Dorset, and are waited on by their housekeeper, Mrs Harris.. Yet residing in a secret underground laboratory is Mac's latest invention, the "BIG RAT" (Brain Impulse Galvanoscope Record And Transfer), a machine capable of recording knowledge and experience from leading experts in various fields and transferring it to another human brain.. At the heart of the design is the "Rat Trap": a spherical, rotating cage in which a subject is seated during the transfer of "brain patterns"...

A series of forged US dollar bills have been traced to an unlikely counterfeiter – the Reverend Joseph Shepherd, vicar of the village church St David's.. WIN's suspicions are raised, and Professor McClaine , Sam Loover and Joe 90 are dispatched to investigate in the days building up to Christmas.. Equipped with the brain impulses of a World Bank vice president, Joe confirms that the bills have been printed within the last 2 weeks, despite the facts that the last official printing in Washington, D.C. was 17 years ago and the plates were subsequently destroyed in a fire.. The trio decide to confront the Reverend, who is apparently half-deaf, at his vicarage..The Reverend reveals that his deafness is an act, and that the plates were not destroyed – they have been smuggled into Britain by 2 criminals, Kline and Mason, who are using them to print $6 million in forged bills..The Unorthodox Shepherd contains extensive location filming of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Harefield, Greater London; the building doubles as St David's, the Reverend Shepherd's parish church..In September 1969, the Century 21 crew re-visited the location to film the concluding scenes of the UFO episode "The Square Triangle"..In comparison to Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Joe 90 features a smaller cast, voicing just 5 regular characters..Original run 29 September 1968 – 20 April 1969..
