I can see the pros and cons of that. Chris Difford of Squeeze got many of his lyrical ideas from working in a lawyer's office, and some of the phrases he'd see in actual testimonies in divorce cases would end up in his songs.

If you're in a studio all the time, you don't get to experience other areas of life, but office environments can also be soul-sapping, to put it mildly.
