This 3at is also notable for modifications in the species' paws... It is one of the few felids with semi-retractable 3laws..The word "cheetah" is derived from the Sanskrit word citrakāyaḥ, meaning "variegated", via the Hindi 'चीता' (cītā)..It is thought that the species went through a prolonged period of inbreeding following a genetic bottleneck during the last ice age...The cheetah's chest is deep and its waist is narrow..The coarse, short fur of the cheetah is tan with round black spots measuring from 2 to 3 cm (0.79 to 1.2 in) across, affording it some camouflage while hunting...The leopard Panthera pardus, is a member of the Felidae family and the smallest of the four "big cats" in the genus Panthera, the other three being the tiger, lion, and Jaguar..and are Agile and Stealthy Predators...Melanism in leopards is inherited as a Mendelian, Monogenic recessive trait relative to the 19pO-TTed 6O-RhAm.. YA-knowDuDeNo ... Shakes All Round..
