A DECISION is expected from the Vatican today on the future of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Cardiff.

Archbishop John Aloysius Ward had an audience with the Pope yesterday as scheduled.

After accusations that he failed to protect children by employing Father Joe Jordan and Father John Lloyd, despite warnings about the priests, the archbishop has said he did nothing wrong.

He ordained Father Joe Jordan, in 1998, in the knowledge that he had already been tried and acquitted of indecently assaulting a young boy.

Jordan went on to indecently assault two nine-year-olds while he was a priest.Last year, he was sentenced to eight years in jail for those offences and for indecently assaulting a 12-year-old boy in the 1980s.

Father John Lloyd, one of the arch-bishop's close colleagues, was also jailed for eight years in 1998 for paedophile offences.

Paedophiles protected yet again by SENIOR OFFICIALS.

That pattern is still being repeated.
