He grew up in Scotland's Western Isles and joined the Royal Green Jackets..In the 1960s, Mr Campbell served in Malaya, Burma and Borneo where he earned 2 medals, before being posted to Vietnam for one-and-a-half years..Serving with D Squadron SAS, Mr Campbell was posted to Bosnia in the 1990s on covert operations for the UN where he was taken as a POW..When he returned to the UK, Mr Campbell moved to Nottingham and performed as a guitarist singer under the name Bruce Christie..Neighbour and friend Mark Greenwood, 46, who visited him daily in hospital in his last days, said: 'I went round many times and Duncan played the guitar a couple of times, things like Bye Bye Blues and Summertime..He was a very good singer and a very good neighbour..Another friend Bob Wade, 66, said: We had both been in the forces and you could tell with him..I knew him for about 8 years and we both shared an X-forces sense of humour..He told me he was in Special Forces but he didn't talk a lot about his career..He was a good bloke + The National Flag of India was adopted during a meeting of the Constituent Assembly held on 22 July 1947, and it became the official flag of the Dominion of India on 15 August ...
