Lightbulb Being a Ghost

Story of Christmas..
Quote:

Family-owned spirit company..

Scrooge extinguishing the first spirit..

"Ask me who I was."
"Who were you, then?" said Scrooge, raising his voice.. "You're particular, for a shade." He was going to say "to a shade," but substituted this, as more appropriate.
"In life I was your partner, Jacob Marley."
"Can you--can you sit down?" asked Scrooge, looking doubtfully at him.
"I can."
"Do it, then."
Scrooge asked the question, because he didn't know whether
a ghost so transparent might find himself in a condition to take a chair; and felt that, in the event of its being impossible, it might involve the necessity of an embarrassing explanation..But the Ghost sat down on the opposite side of the fire-place, as if he were quite used to it..
"You don't believe in me," observed the Ghost.
"I don't," said Scrooge.
"What evidence would you have of my reality beyond that of your own senses?"
"I don't know," said Scrooge.
"Why do you doubt your senses?"
"Because," said Scrooge, "a little thing affects them..A slight disorder of the stomach makes them cheats..You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of an underdone potato..There's more of Gravy Than of Grave about you, whatever you are!"..

A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost-Story of Christmas, commonly known as A Christmas Carol, is a novella by Charles Dickens, first published in London by Chapman & Hall in 1843; the first edition was illustrated by John Leech..Dickens divided the book into 5 chapters, which he labelled "Staves"-Staff 1 - The story begins on a cold and bleak Christmas Eve in London, se7en years after the death of Ebenezer Scrooge's business partner, Jacob Marley\2 - The 1st of the spirits, After showing up in Scrooge's house, the Ghost of Christmas Past takes his hand and flies with him over London..The spirit also shows Scrooge the Christmas Eve when, as a young man, his beloved fiancée Belle ended their relationship upon realizing that he now cared more for money than he did for her/3 - The 2nd spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Present, transports Scrooge around the city, showing him scenes of festivity and also deprivation that are happening as they watch, sprinkling a little warmth from his torch as he travels to a joy-filled market of people buying the makings of Christmas dinner & celebrations of Christmass in a Miner's cottage & in a lighthouse..

"A Christmas Carol" Suite (Composer: Richard Addinsell)..

God rest ye merry Gentlemen - Scrooge A Christmas Carol..

4 - The 3rd spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, shows Scrooge a Christmas Day in the future..Scrooge finds the Ghost the most fearsome of the Spirits; it appears to Scrooge as a figure entirely muffled in a black hooded cloak, except for a single spectral hand with which it points..The ghost shows him scenes involving the de-ath of a disliked man's fun-eral will only be attended by local businessmen if lunch is provided\5 - Scrooge awakens on Christmas morning a changed man..He spends the day with Fred's family..Release date 31 October 30 - 1951 - US performs nuclear test at Nevada Test Site - Gustav Smedal (28 December 1888) was a Norwegian jurist and irredentist activist, known for his activism in the so-called "Greenland case" (Gronlandssaken), where Norway claimed a part of Greenland - Erik the Red's Land/31- French Second Chamber accepts the Schuman Plan – PM Winston Churchill sets off to the US for talks with President Harry S. Truman..It was Wednesday, under the sign of Scorpio - New Moon Visible: 2% -Age: 1.01 days - In every novel we have read by Charles Dickens there is a character that is an orphan..Whether it’s the poor parish boy Oliver Twist, or Pip, raised lovingly by hand, Dickens has orphan protagonists..Another argument for the consistent usage of orphans is to pull on the heart strings of the Victorian women who purchased Dickens’ novels - Volumnia is persuaded that he must be a Freemason...Is sure he is at the head of a lodge, and wears short aprons, and is made a perfect idol of with candlesticks and trowels.."Indigent Orphans' Friends Benevolent Institution" taking place at the Freemasons in Great Queen Street..All Hallows' Evening or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in a number of countries on the eve of the Western Christian Feast of All Hallows Day..It begins the 3-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed..It was customary for criers dressed in black to parade the streets, ringing a bell of mournful sound & calling on all good Christians to remember the poor souls..It has been suggested that the carved jack-o'-lantern, a popular symbol of Halloween, originally represented the souls of the dead...
