Murder on Main Street..
Quote:
Pearse McAuley from Strabane and 3 County Limerick men – Jeremiah Sheehy, Michael O'Neill and Kevin Walsh – were convicted by the non-jury Special Criminal Court of manslaughter.. McAuley had escaped from Brixton Prison in 1991 while awaiting prosecution over an IRA campaign in England and had jumped bail in the Republic of Ireland two months before the shooting.. O'Neill was released from prison on 15 May 2007 with Sheehy released on 4 February 2008..Walsh and McAuley were released on 5 August 2009 after completing their full sentence.. Sinn Féin had campaigned for their release under the Good Friday Agreement despite the Irish government's insistence that these prisoners were excluded during the negotiations for the Agreement..McAuley was married to Pauline Tully, a former Sinn Féin councillor on Cavan County Council..His release prompted adverse commentary in the Irish press, with McAuley being described as a "psychopathic gun nut"...On Christmas Eve, 2014, McAuley was arrested for stabbing his then-estranged wife multiple times in front of their two children.. He was found guilty on 28 November 2015, and was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment on 2 December 2015..

The coat of arms attributed to Alexander MacCabe..

Henry Harrison suggested the name was from the Gaelic Mac Aba, meaning "son of the Abbot".. If Harrison is to be believed then the surname would have a similar etymology as the surnames MacNab, McNab, which are from the Gaelic Mac an Aba, Mac an Abadh...

Melanie Hall (20 August 1970; declared legally dead 17 November 2004) was a British hospital clerical officer from Bradford on Avon, who disappeared on 9 June 1996, following a night out at the Cadillacs nightclub in Bath..She was reported missing on 11 June 1996 by her parents after she failed to turn up for work..Order of the Bath..The original knights were dispensed from all the medieval ceremonies with the exception of the Installation, which was performed in the Order's Chapel, the Henry VII Chapel in Westminster Abbey, on 17 June. ..
