The Scots Guards (SG), part of the Guards Division, is one of the Foot Guards regiments of the British Army..The Scots Guards trace their origins back to 1642 when, by order of King Charles I, the regiment was raised by Archibald Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyll for service in Ireland, and was known as the Marquis of Argyll's Royal Regiment.. Their origins lie in the personal bodyguard of King Charles I of England and Scotland, although it was only placed on the English Establishment (thus becoming part of what is now the British Army) in 1686..It spent a number of years there and performed a variety of duties, but in the mid-1640s, during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms..Are you tired of cooking the same old chicken recipes?..

The Scots Guards and other Guards Regiments have a long-standing connection to The Parachute Regiment.. Guardsman who have Completed P company are Transferred into the Guards Parachute Platoon who are currently attached to 3 PARA still keeping the tradition of the No 1 (Guards) Independent Parachute Company who were the original Pathfinder Group of 16th Parachute Brigade now renamed 16th Air Assault Brigade..The Scots Guards is ranked as the 3rd regiment in the Guards Division; as such, Scots Guardsmen can be recognised by having the buttons on their tunics spaced in 3's..The regiment consists of a single operational battalion which was based in Catterick between 2008 and 2015, therafter moving to Aldershot in the armoured infantry role..The Scots guards have a pipe band famous the world over..Piper down I repeat we have a Piper down..During Operation Herrick 12 in 2010, Lance Corporal Monkhouse a Drummer, was killed whilst rescuing an injured soldier.. For his bravery and selfless action, he was awarded the Military Cross..The Dancing set is always a favourite of spectators at the shows...

He has a brother, Simon Anthony Cunningham Everett (born 1956).. His maternal grandfather,Vice Admiral Sir Hector Charles Donald Maclean, was a nephew of Scottish military man Hector Lachlan Stewart MacLean, who received the Victoria Cross.. His maternal grandmother, Opre Vyvyan, was a descendant of the baronets Vyvyan of Trelowarren and the German Freiherr (Baron) von Schmiedern.. He is of English, Irish, Scottish, and more distant German and Dutch, ancestry.. Everett was brought up as a Roman Catholic..From the age of se7en, Everett was educated at Farleigh School, Hampshire, and later was educated by Benedictine monks at Ampleforth College, Yorkshire; he left school at 16 and ran away to London to become an actor..Well, instead of serving the whole bird we say focus on the pieces with the most flavour:the drumsticks!..Renfield, look at me!..I'm drinking wine, and eating Turkey!.On Mount William's southern slopes, one of the tankhs was taken out of action by a booby trap.., by the power of our fellowship Dull care is slain..Hearken!.High up the hill you may hear Cares funeral music..Behold, the effigy of this, our enemy, is carried hither for our ancient rites...
