Every Breath You Take..
In June 2014, the barracks reopened to train Libyan troops.. Although nearby residents were originally informed that the Libyan cadets would only be permitted to leave the base on escorted visits the rules were subsequently relaxed.. Shortly afterwards, a number of complaints of sexual assault were made against some of the trainees..5 were later charged with a series of sexual offences against both women and men: of these, 2 appeared before Cambridge Magistrates' Court and admitted carrying out a series of assaults on women in Cambridge's Market Square area on 26 October 2014, two were charged with raping a man in Cambridge, and the fifth was charged with 3 counts of sexual assault.. As a result, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) decided to terminate the training programme early, saying in a statement in November 2014: "Training was initially expected to last until the end of November but we have agreed with the Libyan government that it is best for all involved to bring forward the training completion date.. The recruits will be returning to Libya in the coming days”..It was also discovered that a further 5 of the trainees had applied for asylum in the UK..

On 15 May 2015, two Libyan cadets were jailed for 12 years each for raping a man in Cambridge in a prolonged attack in Christ's Pieces, a park in the city centre..In 2013, paths on Christ's Pieces were used in a trial of Starpath, which absorbs UV energy during the day and emits it at night to
illuminate the path

Seeking asylum on children's bicycles..

Some 300 cadets were sent to the barracks, with 5 later jailed for sex attacks in nearby Cambridge...All cadets being trained to support the then new Libyan government were returned home in November..Moktar Ali Saad Mahmoud, 33, and Ibrahim Abugtila, 23, were both jailed for 12 years, for the rape of a man on Christ's Pieces, in October 2014..On the same night Khaled El Azibi, 19, Ibrahim Naji El Maarfi, 21, and 28-year-old Mohammed Abdalsalam fled the barracks and carried out sex attacks on 3 women..El Azibi was sentenced to 12 months and El Maarfi and Abdalsalam each to 10 months..All 3 have been released and are seeking asylum in the UK... is a black camel, which kneels at the gates of all..Who ain't had a gun on 'em in the past year, huh? Show of hands, y'all..Anybody?.Hmm?.Shumpert, Crowley..Y'all had a gun on y'all?..
