Lightbulb Denis Denis

Saint Denis holding his head..
Seine-Saint-Denis is a French department located in the Île-de-France region.. In local slang, it is known as "quatre-vingt treize" (i.e. "ninety-three") or "neuf trois" (i.e. "nine three"), after the official administrative number of the department, 93..The learned and rarely used demonym for the inhabitants is Séquano-Dionysiens; more common is Dionysiens..The medieval and modern French name "Denis" derives from the ancient name Dionysius...

Seine-Saint-Denis Bondi..

Is located to the northeast of Paris.. It has a surface area of only 236 km², making it one of the smallest departments in France..Islam is believed to be the most practiced religion in the department.. Denis and his companions were so effective in converting people that the pagan priests became alarmed over their loss of followers.. At their instigation, Roman Governor arrested the missionaries.. After a long imprisonment, Denis and two of his clergy were executed by beheading on the highest hill in Paris (now Montmartre), which was likely to have been a druidic holy place..After his head was cut off, Denis is said to have picked it up and walked 10 kilometres (6 miles) from the summit of the hill, preaching a sermon the entire way, making him one of many cephalophores in hagiology..In legend, the female saint Osyth stood up after her execution, picking up her head like Saint Denis in Paris and other cephalophoric martyrs, and walking with it in her hands, to the door of a local convent, before collapsing there..The speaking severed head appears memorably in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight...

Saint-Denis serves as one of the primary thoroughfares of both the Latin Quarter, where it plays host to a number of bars and restaurants, to the Plateau Mont-Royal, where it is known as one of the best places to view Montreal's distinct style of architecture.. It becomes primarily a residential street north of the Metropolitan Expressway.. The eastern portion of the Montreal Metro's Orange Line runs parallel to the street, two blocks to the east..It is named for Saint Denis of Paris..St. Dionysius Theological Institute is an Orthodox Christian theological institute in Paris, France..The institute was founded in 1944 by members of the Cathedral of St. Irenaeus in Paris and by a number of French intellectuals who were not themselves Orthodox Christians..St Denys's Church,York is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England on Walmgate in York...'m sure the over-burdened British taxpayer would be fascinated to know how its Special Ordinances Section disperses its funds..Captain, would you enlighten the Sheriff please?..
