Lightbulb Black Fizzz

Quote:
By the end of 81, Bucks Fizz had proved that they were not destined to be another one-off Eurovision act by cracking the UK Top 20 with their first 3 singles and their debut album.. In November, the group released the first single from their forthcoming second album. "The Land of Make Believe" became a big hit over Christmas 81 and in the early weeks of January made number one in the UK Charts.. The record eventually outsold "Making Your Mind Up" to become their biggest selling single in the UK...

Are You Ready is the second album by British pop group Bucks Fizz. It was released in April 82 .. It was produced by Andy Hill and released on RCA records..Released 26 April 82..

The Land of Make Believe..

1 May - Operation Black Buck- A Royal Air Force Vulcan bomber takes off from Ascension Island and bombs Port Stanley Airport..Of the 5 Black Buck raids flown to completion, 3 were against Stanley Airfield, with the other 2 anti-radar missions using Shrike anti-radiation missiles/2 - The nuclear submarine HMS Conqueror sinks the Argentine cruiser General Belgrano\4 -The Type 42 Destroyer, HMS Sheffield, is badly damaged by an Exocet missile.. It sinks on 10 May.. There is also the theme of the "Lady of the Lake" and this connects with the stories of goddess-worshipping serpent peoples like the Nagas living in underground centers located under lakes and lochs...

84 December 12 — Bucks Fizz, the highly successful pop group, are involved in a road accident near Newcastle upon Tyne when their tour bus crashes in icy conditions after a concert.. Bobby Gee, Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston escape with relatively minor injuries, but Mike Nolan is in a serious condition..
