Can someone throw me a bone here...I cannot access the links...not because they don't work, I just do not have access to those sites. What is the significance of 23?

Parents each donate 23 chromosomes to the fertilized egg . . .the human biorhythm cycle is generally 23 days, and it takes 23 seconds for blood to circulate through the human body.

Major 23rdian here. I seem to be in the middle of a 'flap' right now. They are all over the place the last couple of weeks.

Hows about you do some research wise guy.:)

There are 23 discs in the human spine...

Normal human sex cells have 23 chromosomes. Other human cells have 46 chromosomes, arranged in 23 pairs...

research?

But I am shiftless , lazy and unmotivated...I need to be spoonfed like all the other damn milkbabies out there...:D

But seriously, I thought this would be an informational thread and I was curious ... I guess I could always look it up myself but was hoping reading this thread would count as "research" ;)

Numerology

Modern numerology often contains aspects of a variety of ancient cultures and teachers, including Babylonia, Pythagoras and his followers (Greece, 6th century B.C.), astrological philosophy from Hellenistic Alexandria, early Christian mysticism, early Gnostics, the Hebrew system of the Kabbalah, The Indian Vedas, the Chinese "Circle of the Dead", Egyptian "Book of the Masters of the Secret House" (Ritual of the Dead)

Modern numerology has various antecedents. Ruth A. Drayer's book, Numerology, The Power in Numbers (Square One Publishers) says that around the turn of the century (from 1800 to 1900 A.D.) Mrs. L. Dow Balliett combined Pythagoras' work with Biblical reference. Then on Oct 23, 1972, Balliett's student, Dr. Juno Jordan, changed Numerology further and helped it to become the system known today under the title "Pythagorean", although Pythagoras himself had nothing to do with the system.

Gematria or gimatria (Hebrew: גימטריה‎, gēmaṭriyā) is a system of assigning numerical value to a word or phrase, in the belief that words or phrases with identical numerical values bear some relation to each other, or bear some relation to the number itself as it may apply to a person's age, the calendar year, or the like. It is likely that the term derives from the order of the Greek alphabet, gamma being the third letter of the Greek alphabet (gamma + tria). Alternatively, the word "gematria" is generally held to derive from Greek geōmetriā, "geometry", which was used as a translation of gēmaṭriyā, though some scholars believe it to derive from Greek grammateia, rather; it's possible that both words had an influence on the formation of the Hebrew word. It has been extant in English since the 17th century from translations of works by Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. Although ostensibly derived from Greek, it is largely used in Jewish texts, notably in those associated with the Kabbalah.

23 chromosomes/Inherited biological existence

Each of us began life as two separate cells: an egg and a sperm, also known as gametes. Gametes are formed through a process called meiosis in which the number of chromosomes in a normal cell are halved resulting in 23 chromosomes per gamete. It is interesting to consider that if any other sperm had united with that egg, you would not be you. There would have been a different combination of genetic materials that could have resulted in a different person. When the gametes unite, a zygote is formed and, once again, 46 chromosomes are present. Chromosome come in pairs--23 pairs to be exact--and they contain the sum of our inherited biological existence. You receive 23 chromosomes from each of your parents. The chromosomes from the egg and sperm match up based upon size, shape, and function. There are 22 pair of matched chromosomes called autosomes. The sex chromosome may be the exception to the matched pair. In this 23rd pair, there are two possible types of chromosomes: X and Y. The female eggs only carry X chromosomes. However, the male sperm can carry X or Y chromosomes. If the sex chromosomes are a matching pair of X's, a female is the result. If an Y sperm fertilizes the egg and an XY combination is formed, it will result in a male.

are we to conduct the experiments with fruit flies next? i am familiar with the basic parts of Mr. Mendel's work... 666 is also the atomic blueprint for carbon, the basis for almost all life... why not 666 for the illuminati poster?
