Not surprised. It's a kind of Soylent Green style of feeding the masses.

1. Grow millions of insects (cheaply)

2. Extract the collagen

3. Partially hydrolyse the collagen thus creating gelatine (protien gel substance)

4. Fortify the gelatine with other nutrients

5. Create and package gel protein bars

6. Voila. Feed the masses while the elite munch on steak and buttered asparagus

That way they can keep us alive and reduce resource consumption. All for the 'greater good' you see.

There's a recent movie featuring a train endlessly running around a frozen Earth and people inside being fed insects while the staff in the front wagons has meat and fresh vegetables...

I guess we'll not be let known when worm juice or grinded bugs will be added to fake meat and other processed foods for 'proteins', but here again most will not feel the difference and will keep buying what they're fed... the plot was based on the assumption that people would eat the Solyent Green, and you'll see how many will rush into the first insectivore restaurants out of snobism... you'd have them eat cow shit just because it's no longer used as fertilizer, so why not opening shit restaurants in the meantime ?

For a 1973 dystopian film set in a future 2022 , Soylent Green is looking increasingly accurate!

Interesting write up on Soylent Green

When you think of all the connections it's getting scaring indeed... 2022 from now, restaurants and takovers shutdown, food making narrowed in the secrecy of 'central kitchens' while EU approves insects for human consumption... and it's no practical joke or a hoax, it's being done for real...

There's plenty of countries and cultures who eat insects as a matter of course. It can actually be very healthy. So I wouldn't worry too much. However, if it is forced upon you as a society, then I would worry.

Yes this is the problem, not just insect consumption but the whole scheme and how it's unfolding and first of all the forced 'change'... we Europeans never thought of eating insects or had to even when starving during world wars, so I'm really starting to think it's all mere harassment and a religion war against the Christians...

That movie is "Snowpiercer" and interestingly enough it features Ed Harris in a Controller type role.....same as he plays in "The Truman Show" and the tv series "Westworld".

Please stay polite, I didn't call you names... :classic_biggrin:

There was a poster back in the days who used to start each of his threads by interestingly... it was most often anecdotal stuff on random topics...

Anyway I think the Solyent Green we got fed for cheap since a while already, and maybe the original story was an allegory on meat consumption... Harris is a veggie by the way...

Well no, seems to me Harrison was just a big prick whose Soylent Green remained as a ‘masterwork’ because it promoted the depopulation agenda…

The food related sub-plot was a good starting point to explain how after having been herded in towns and cities, urban populations found themselves reduced to dependence with food as the basic tool of control.

Just like the Soylent Green, meat is one you can’t get but from those holding monopole and exclusivity on its making and marketing… then meat diet isn’t about what it may bring but about the instant satisfaction and ‘relief’ we get from eating cooked meat, the whole thing resulting in a physical addiction and material dependence on something we don’t need to survive or stay healthy…

Add to it the fact that because of the instant delight meat procures, meals have become the daily ‘rewards’ to most people on whom vegetarian food wouldn’t hold the same upper-hand… Eating meat makes the act prime over its possible incidences (on health and mind), and valuing action over thinking is what consumerism and consumption are all about.

It’s not by random if gates is investing into fake meat for when there’ll be no more real one, and I find pathetic so-called ‘vegetarians’ resorting to soy ‘steaks’… Soylent Green…

Well I prepared this post last night and I just discovered the synopsis here above linked by Mikhail, so don't suspect me of plagiarism... :o )

Did anyone here ever watch Soylent Green (1974) ?... I never had until last night and I’s prepared for it, so here’s what I randomly noticed…

In the opening sequence New-York city dwellers are shown full frame wearing PAPER MASKS…

The Soylent Green is advertised as made of phytoplankton, which one in our present days has been widely destroyed in sea waters, replaced by toxic blue algae strangely looking like the spirulina now grown and sold as a ‘miracle’ food supplement… again we're given the poison as a ‘cure’...

DSC_4713-730x1024.jpg.4a388a15f9d44011a28898c5070c729d.jpg

Edward G. Robinson’s character complains that men eradicated all life on Earth and also about heat waves occurring all the year : so in 1974 they KNEW a major climate disruption would happen…

The first female character to appear is sold a piece of red meat as something not seen around since ages, and Robinson’s character later CRIES while being offered a steak…

It’s said that Soylent Co provides food for HALF the planet (the whole West)… Obviously there neither is tobacco or anything else to smoke or to drink anymore… and not even warm water at home…

People queue in the street to get the new Soylent Green all wearing tunics and turbans, you’d say a crowded marketplace in some Middle-Eastern town… then people start to riot over food price and it’s when they’re grabbed from the ground by excavators…

All farms and their lands are owned, fenced and guarded by the authorities (Gates’ latest ‘investment’)…

There’s a place called the ‘shelter’ where elders go when they think they’re about to die or feel like to escape the nightmare… there they’re offered a free drink (the ‘Kool-Aid’), made lay down on a bed and are shown images of the old world on a big screen… this is called EUTHANASIA for elders who still today are regarded as the final issue about overpopulation, because birth control would lead to a raise in their number and the ‘burden’ they’d be for the working population (like in today’s Japan)…

You’re eventually told that all sea life got eradicated along with phytoplankton and that the new Solyent Green is actually made of dead bodies, so yes it’s a meat substitute and why it’s then advertised as a new ‘miracle food’… the film ends rather abruptly upon this revelation…

Overpopulation is briefly and randomly alluded to in a handful frames and words but only concerning big cities, and if I’m not wrong not the slightest reference to birth control or a depopulation agendum other than indirectly through people collection to make the Soylent Green, maybe Gates’ ultimate dream… I only read the summary of the novel from its Wiki page and suggested what I assumed to be a food related sub-plot as a starting point for a fictional pamphlet on processed food and consumerism, and it appears it’s what the movie was…

It shows that back in the 1970’s there was still freedom in the USA and yet maybe I saw a cut version of it, but such a film I guess would get banned in our days because it matches too much our current reality and what’s unfolding before our eyes…

I don’t think Gates’ investment in farm lands and synthetic meat should be regarded as ‘anecdotal’, because home growing as much as private farming or agriculture will soon get forbidden for ‘food security’… all fruits, vegetables and cereals will get banned and replaced by blue algae since agriculture is even less profitable than meat production to our economists… I think Spain was made the most ‘COVID impacted’ European country because it’s Europe’s biggest fruit and vegetable provider, but Spain needed the cheap workforce from Morocco that got blocked from crossing the border because of ‘the pandemic’…

That’s how those in control cowardly disguise their misdeeds, that’s how courageously they hide behind our institutions, so maybe some just banging their fist on the table could make them flee and go seek refuge on Mars way sooner than planned… First they pushed overproduction and overconsumption, then they made billions on the resulting health conditions, and now that their business on ‘disease’ got well secured they want us to switch to insects and algae as food to go with always more medications and vaccines… what a nice people they are…

Makes you wonder now about "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here". 'Celebrities' (nobodies) eating bugs and insects on TV for the purpose of 'entertainment' (predictive programming?)

Yes, it could very well be that. Just like ''Big Brother'' another predicting programming show.

Considering we as humans are not drawn to eating insects, its just another forced idea onto us.

Humans are 100% meat eaters.

No, we are not meant to eat plants, or vegetables, our intellect brought about those ideas. We are 100% meat eaters.

All animals are drawn to there food, like all are drawn to who they mate with. Humans are only drawn to eating meat, not insects or vegetables, although we can eat them.

Disgusting that they want humans to give up there main food source, the one we are born to eat.

All animals are drawn to there food, and these people want people to believe we just pick our foods at random. No, a cow in the field is drawn to eat grass, it does not guess to eat grass, like humans are guessing at eating vegetables, or insects, like they want.

We are 100% meat eaters, and humans are not drawn to any other food, proving this. We only eat other things, as it was our intelligence that worked it out, probably by seeing other animals eating things, we questioned if we could eat that.

This news is more lunacy, showing they are moving further and further away from what was gods creation, ie humans.

This news, shows they want humans moving away from eating meat, which is disgusting as meat is 100% our main drawn to food source. We as humans do not go red eye on any other foods, we were 100% predators for meat(obviously that includes fish)
