EnigmaticWorld
Farmers on the Brink 'We believe we are at the onset of a global famine of historic proportions. In a staggering defiance of logic, many US politicians are still attacking the lifeblood of our own energy production infrastructure, looking to score political points against “the other team,” blaming price-taking producers of global commodities for gouging, threatening producers of energy with windfall profits taxes, resisting calls to remove bureaucratic hurdles to new production, and refusing to open an introductory physics textbook to help guide them through the suite of policy choices that require true leadership to get right. They remain stuck in an endless loop of platitudes, blamestorming, corruption, and ignorance.' https://doomberg.substack.com/p/farmers-on-the-brink Edited March 28, 2022 by EnigmaticWorld

This is the financialization of a basic human right (ability to provide for your family) - and is absolute bollocks! Ethel
My preparation is not just geared towards a generalized food shortage scenario, but any 'SHTF' scenario. I have a large amount of long-lasting tinned goods, coconut oil, honey, maple syrup, rice, flour, bottled water (in glass bottles), Himalayan salt, soy sauce, ghee, dried milk, beans, oats. I also have a good supply of non food items which will be useful, such as candles, matches, lantern fluid, soap, toilet rolls. I am working on some barter items, probably booze. Also, I fast regularly, so that helps. Edited April 21, 2022 by Ethel
Given To Fly
Bill Gates' farmland acquisitions are making a lot of sense right now Dodgy bastard. But of course these things (food shortages) have to come to pass as prophesised in the Bible in Luke 21:11 and Matthew 24:7. What we're seeing is the worldly illusion and reasoning for these things. They're conditioning us for their narrative of these constant chaoses occurring and to accept their solution. They're never going to tell you the truth about what is happening, which is the end times.

I was shocked to learn that honey and maple syrups are "blends" of BS. Are you able to get pure honey? I don't eat much honey or syrup anyway. What canned foods have you stored. I have some soups but in general I dislike canned food, not sure why. Firstly what we will see is price increases, which for people that can afford will be bearable. Eventually it will be a situation where people can't actually get the product. In that sort of scenario it opens up the market so much for local production. In that sort of scenario it opens up the market so much for local production. They're the purest honeys and syrups I could get, mostly. Those two last pretty much forever so it's all good. Tinned goods: mackerel, various types of bean, a few tinned veg, a few tinned fruit. Spam; even though I don't eat meat, it last 15 years or more in the tin so if the world falls to pieces I'd eat it.

Mitochondrial Eve
Ice Age Farmer has a food supply incident map which is linked to at the bottom of this post. The quote is taken from the Ice Age Farmer Telegram channel. https://t.me/iceagefarmer Quote FOOD SUPPLY SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTING I’m so glad this is catching people’s attention. One thing to note: it’s been going on for YEARS. Here is a map I’d created in 2020 when the suspicious fires at food processing plants started ticking up, and then it became impossible to keep up! You can click each pin to find a farm, or food distribution center, or warehouse, or grain elevator, or the port of Beirut going up in flames — and each whittles away the resilience of our food supply chain. The 20 fires in the last 2 months here (which are not even on this map yet), while noteworthy, are just the latest acceleration! https://iceagefarmer.com/fire/
Rayvn
I grow my own, have chooks and have been planting food trees. What I don't have I get from local farmers. I am lucky that we live on a 1/4 acrea block. I only buy basics from the supermarket and make my own personal care items like moisturisers. The recent floods though severely affected my crops but now that the Australian Govt have stopped cloud seeding, I am getting some yields again now. Going to start hoarding pet food though as I have no way of feeding the cats and dogs if shit goes south.
Bombadil
2 years worth of tinned veg and fruit. Gross but beggars can’t be choosers! With controlled portion enough for about 2 years. Grow basics such as garlic, onions herbs etc. As well as seasonal veg. 2 years of rice and legumes I have an instapot which I can run off of a portable solar panel. Rice cooked in 4 minutes little water. Also large stock of charcoal and wood for outside cooking.

If so, I have quite a lot of military rations bought in surplus’s online. I’ve been experimenting with pickling, bottling for a few years now. I haven’t got Ill yet off of what I’ve made. Have quite a prosperous garden so far this year.I am learning the old ways of storage for my veg so as to ease the space problems. Half my house looks like a supermarket. Biggest issue for me is flour for the long term. Edited April 22, 2022 by Bombadil
