The Keys To Religion

A weird book you might like is 'Jesus The Man' by Barbara Thering. She uses the well known 'pesher' technique to extract a very different story about the life of Jesus from the New Testament. (he died in Rome an old man, for everything else you will have to read the book!)

Thanks for the tip, I have posted on this thread that Jesus was a member of sects - the Essenes, the Nazarene's and the order of Melchizedek, there's a tradition that he came to England and spoke with the Druids and the Buddhists have a record of Jesus going East to study with them and then took the teachings back home.

I've heard before that Jesus did not die, of course there was Holy Blood, Holy Grail that wrote about it. And of course the Muslims believe that Jesus lived and did not die on the cross and they have his tomb in Kashmir. The spiritualists have it that Jesus was actually a man called Apollonius and again, he died of old age.

Interesting the author is working off Dead Sea Scrolls because again, as posted above, another scholar (John Allegro) working off the Dead Sea Scrolls has published that Christianity is partly based on Magic Mushroom Cult or Sect.

This illustrates what I have been trying to say that the Bible is like a tapestry that tells a story and has other information encoded into it.

The main framework is Sun and Nature worship, there seems to be Magic Mushroom references and Fertility Cult references taken from earlier Pagan traditions and it also incorporates Moral lessons for the 'Babes' or as said by other's taking the Bible literally is like 'Milk for the Babes' and only when your ready or initiated to a high enough level that you can learn the Meat or spiritual lessons woven into the book.

Looking up about the book I think I have seen the Documentary made about it - The Riddle Of The Dead Sea Scrolls, found it on YouTube so I'll post it here.

Thanks.

For my own reference -

At about 36 mins in the Dr explains about the Virgin Birth so you see from this video and 'traditional wisdom' the Virgin Birth is first described as a miraculous event, this is the milk. Then deeper investigation reveals the Solar implications of the Astrological sign of Virgo rising on the eastern Horizon on 25th December and also that the designation of Mary as a Virgin puts here into a Sect and hence an initiate of some kind other than that of a Christian. There's three interpretations to the Virgin Mother legend.

Flat Earth reference at 43 mins in and 'Eye Of The Needle' reference at 45 mins I have provided another interpretation for that text earlier in the thread, so again we see the possibilities of multiple meanings attached to certain phrases, verses or ideologies and at 47 mins in she confirms that the Essene's attributed to scripture two different meanings, general, moral and spiritual teachings but a further special teaching can be induced from interpretation of the texts by those with special knowledge. (47 mins) Jesus say's it himself in Mathew 4:11

He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables

And then the Dr goes on to give an interpretation of Jesus walking on water being himself claiming a Priestly privilege. She then goes on to mention Satan as Judas the opposing leader of the Zealots and that the Bible conveys political history if interpreted a certain way. Thus confirming there are many levels to the book.

Just a thought about Religious Worship.

When I go to church I go to acknowledge my spiritual side, to acknowledge there is a God, to show my appreciation and give thanks but not to worship.

Why would a perfect being require worship?

I'm a parent, I gave my children life, I provide for them and their growth. Do I as an imperfect being expect my children to worship me for my role? No, not really, I hope their grateful, I hope they enjoy the life given to them, but I do not require worship, just a thanks. And I am not a perfect, omniscient, eternal, supernatural being, why would such a being create life just so that it can be worshiped? This is illogical and not borne out by nature or the natural way of things.

I was reading about Kangaroo gestation and the baby after leaving the womb as near fetus, instinctively knows to climb up the mother and into the pouch and attach itself to the milk gland. It instinctively knows! its built in to the baby's nature, if God required worship it would be built into our hearts, it would be inscribed on our hearts, we would know, but it is not. Therefore it is not required, it is your choice and you don't need a church if you choose to give thanks, pray in secret like the Bible tells us.

God does not require worship.

No, GOD doesn't "require" worship.

But if one Knows GOD, they will, with love, awe, and joy .

worship

verb
wor·ship | \ ˈwər-shəp
also ˈwȯr- \
worshipped also worshiped; worshipping also worshiping

Definition of worship

 (Entry 1 of 2)

transitive verb

1 : to honor or show reverence for as a divine being or supernatural power
2 : to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/worship

Unless they want to experience not knowing GOD, and make up a stupid alternative---stupid doesn't exist in Reality, only in weird fantasies and illusions of separation(which is actually impossible) from GOD. Then they will worship the notgods passed-off as GOD, and pathetic idols offered by the ego.

So, a day-dream of separation isn't a "sin" or "rebellion"( oh isn't that just so grandiose!), it's simply being a spoiled brat for a brief moment and going in the corner and staring at the wall and denying/rejecting Reality and insisting that I will get what I want and I won't accept that it's impossible, and apply my creativity towards forgetting Truth and Reality and making up a world in my head that is actually nothing and nowhere. A dream that fits the definition of psychosis. This world. This life. Miscreation.

Not sure what your objection is to my post. It seems you are disagreeing yet you actually agree.

I'll take your definition - I only said I don't feel the need to -

2 : to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion

make gestures of 'extravagant devotion' like wailing at a wall or dropping to my knee's 5 times a day, rather I quietly contemplate and give thanks for the gift given. I'm simply saying for one who doesn't have a conscious connection to God that seems enough, if you have a connection and feel joy 24/7 then I guess your 'worship' will be more extravagant.

But thats not me.

I find such extravagant gestures distasteful and disingenuous and frankly if a God required such gestures to stroke its ego then its not a perfect being is it?

I just made a generalized respone to a generalized statement, that's all, it wasn't really personal.  One point I was trying to make is that "worship" may not, or does not necessarily mean or include those gestures you mentioned. Also that actual "worship" is not a demeaning or degrading thing(or stupid), the ego sees it as such, and mischaracterizes what it is and what it means.

1a : exceeding the limits of reason or necessity extravagant claims
b : lacking in moderation, balance, and restraint extravagant praise
c : extremely or excessively elaborate an extravagant display
2 : extremely or unreasonably high in price

Like it looks like the ego added the word "extravagant" to the definition of "worship", since it knows most humans are attempting to worship not the ego or it's miscreations/deceptions but that Original Something Greater, aka GOD, and the ego certainly rejects that idea and adds a thing about the "unreasonableness" etc(aversive),  of "worship" , all the while it's working on getting it's host to unwittingly(unknowingly) worship it, and the larger one.

I don't feel joy 24/7, I'm kind of in between 2 worlds at the moment...🙃

The ego is threatened by Truth. GOD. The Real. Self.

Oh, I had an experience 6 years ago, felt like I was between 2 worlds, this is what I wrote back then -

I thought I was 'A' son of God, thought I could speak to dead people (voices in my head) thought I could communicate with the intelligence watching over this world. Built a huge cross out of garden furniture and rubbish in my garage to keep the devil out. Thought Freemasons held the secrets to religion and were keeping it from us. Started talking in rhyme, sort of 'tap tap, bang bang' rhyme. Came up with a load of weird sayings - 'On the angles, set your square, draw the circle, cross the centre find your balance' or 'The church is where you practice, the temple is what you build, communities build great temples' or 'Man is the temple, his body is his shrine, the children are the vine' or 'Devil is in the detail - about 2 inches, yet the Pyramids are only 1 inch off'

I went a bit crazy with it, thought there was a spiritual ladder in my garden leading to heaven, I never went up it although I could of. Felt connected to everything.

I couldn't handle it.

This conspiracy and spiritual path can really twist you about. (plus I had a traumatic childhood, which is what set me off)

Its what I mean when I say the Bible is a spell book. Researching spiritual and religious topics is like slowly brainwashing yourself and changing your self to something quite different. It can be overwhelming.

Now I'm on a new spiritual journey since my experience, mainly for my kids, they go to a Christian school and have come home very upset about the prospect of going to hell like the vicar tells them all. So I am trying to find the truth of it all to explain it to them to put their minds, and mine, at rest. This thread is the product of that journey.

They're operating and teaching from false premises. This world is hell, there are different levels and layers. It's just the ego trying to guilt-trip people into an identity of unworthyness and fear, thereby validating untruth and sustaining a "world" that amounts to a mass-psychosis.

"Hell" is properly defined as a virtual disconnect(forgetting) from Truth and Reality= GOD.

You are The Son---in part. Everything GOD Created Is The Son= Totality of Creation. Within GOD. The Infinite within THE INFINITE. One with THE ONE. ("The Father and I are ONE"). SPIRIT.(CONSCIOUSNESS).

Human comprehension has difficulty and assumes "problems" with Reality,,,, as IT IS. A reversal is required. Basically, one needs to apply the same means to escape this dream of delusion as was employed to "escape"/"leave"/turn away from REALITY. Suspension of Knowing(denial/rejection of) Truth-Reality, traded for suspension of disbelief (accepting)of untruth-unreality. There's no guilt/shame or anything else like that legitimately attached to it, it's nothing really,  unless we want to make it something---but it still won't be anything more than a brief daydream fantasy, because it is based on untruth.

Truth and Reality are inseparable. The presence of anything that conflicts with Truth is an indicater that one has virtually left Reality and entered into a dream of untruth. EgoMatrix--Dream of Lies.

Infinite Love Is the Only Truth. REALITY. Self/Being. GOD. Son. SPIRIT.

If your going to read the Bible first you must get the original source. The versions of the Bible we have were written hundreds of years ago. Where there has been a translation there is a possibility of errors being introduced.

In the 19th century the archaeologists found the Rosetta stone, this gave us a translation of Egyptian but also a better understanding of ancient Hebrew and Greek. Since finding the stone the scholars have been able to translate tombs and crypts and monuments with greater accuracy. In the 1960's they got together Language Scholars, theologians and religious representatives and sourcing the original documents gave us a modern, more accurate translation of the original texts. This is the Bible I choose to read. It has no predetermined dogma inserted into it not mistranslations or changes to insert doctrines it is a literal translation.

Finally when you read the Bible you must understand it is written in many different levels, verses can have up to 3 interpretations(and maybe more) There is Solar Mythology (Christmas), Fertility Mythology (Easter) Nature worship (Harvest Festival and Easter) Magic Mushroom mythology and references to Psychology, Physiology, Chakra and raising the Kundalini, Astrology and Astronomy. Hence when you read the Bible if you read it as a literal book you are at the first level on initiation - a Christian. The Bible is milk for the children to digest and be 'good' people. If you understand the occult symbology behind the Bible then you can read it at a higher esoteric level, you are a higher initiate.

The Catholics do have their own version of this, according to them Bible verses have 3 different meanings this area or interpretation is known as 'Biblical hermeneutics'

Jefferson Bible
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Jefferson Bible

The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth, commonly referred to as the Jefferson Bible, is one of two religious works constructed by Thomas Jefferson. The first, The Philosophy of Jesus of Nazareth, was completed in 1804, but no copies exist today.[1] The second, The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth, was completed in 1820 by cutting and pasting with a razor and glue numerous sections from the New Testament as extractions of the doctrine of Jesus. Jefferson's condensed composition excludes all miracles by Jesus and most mentions of the supernatural, including sections of the four gospels that contain the Resurrection and most other miracles, and passages that portray Jesus as divine

Content
Using a razor and glue, Jefferson cut and pasted his arrangement of selected verses from a 1794 bilingual Latin/Greek version using the text of the Plantin Polyglot, a French Geneva Bible and the King James Version[12] of the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in chronological order—putting together excerpts from one text with those of another to create a single narrative. Thus he begins with Luke 2 and Luke 3, then follows with Mark 1 and Matthew 3. He provides a record of which verses he selected, and of the order he chose in his Table of the Texts from the Evangelists employed in this Narrative and of the order of their arrangement.

Consistent with his naturalistic outlook and intent, most supernatural events are not included in Jefferson's heavily edited compilation. Paul K. Conkin states that "For the teachings of Jesus he concentrated on his milder admonitions (the Sermon on the Mount) and his most memorable parables. What resulted is a reasonably coherent, but at places oddly truncated, biography. If necessary to exclude the miraculous, Jefferson would cut the text even in mid-verse."[13] Historian Edwin Scott Gaustad explains, "If a moral lesson was embedded in a miracle, the lesson survived in Jeffersonian scripture, but the miracle did not. Even when this took some rather careful cutting with scissors or razor, Jefferson managed to maintain Jesus' role as a great moral teacher, not as a shaman or faith healer."[14]

Therefore, The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth begins with an account of Jesus' birth without references to angels (at that time), genealogy, or prophecy. Miracles, references to the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus, and Jesus' resurrection are also absent from his collection.[15]

No supernatural acts of Christ are included at all in this regard, while the few things of a supernatural nature include receiving of the Holy Spirit,[16] angels,[17] Noah's Ark and the Great Flood,[18] the Tribulation,[19] the Second Coming,[20] the resurrection of the dead,[21] a future kingdom,[20][22] and eternal life,[23] Heaven,[24] Hell[25] and punishment in everlasting fire, the Devil,[26] and the soldiers falling backwards to the ground in response to Jesus stating, "I am he."[27]

The work ends with the words: "Now, in the place where He was crucified, there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus. And rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed." These words correspond to the ending of John 19 in the Bible.

From the Gospel of Thomas

Jesus said: I am the light that is above them all. I am the all; the all came forth from me, and the all attained to me. Cleave a (piece of) wood; I am there. Raise up a stone, and you will find me there.

What do you see occupying the space where a stone was when you lift it? What can now penetrate between the sticks if you split a piece of wood?

Sunlight.

What is the light above all living things?

The Sun

Jesus is telling you he is the Sun.

Why would he do that in his secret sayings? He is taking on the form or allegory or myth or legend that is built around the Pagan sun worship. he is speaking their language, he is assuming their mythology to show he understands it, he 'knows'

If I went to India and started speaking Christian things to them in English they wouldn't understand a word of it and I wouldn't convert many people. If I learn to speak the language and learn the phrases and sayings and myths and allegories and speak to them with those terms and ideals they will understand me better.

This is why the man we know as Jesus is taking on the allegory of Solar worship - to own it. To assimilate the knowledge, to honor it and to pass it forward and to be speaking in terms the people can understand. The early converts were converting from Solar and Nature worship to something higher spiritually. You have to imagine people were not as civilized 2000 years ago as they are now, this was all part of the conversion from sacrificial and fire worshiping pagans to people of higher spiritual stature.

If Jesus is the Sun and he is also A Son of God then where is God? God is the creator of the Sun (Let there be light) and the creator of Jesus the man and us. So Jesus is sweeping away the Pagan solar worship, framing himself as the Sun and pointing to a higher God than the Sun which is the truth.

The sun is a 4 dimensional portal. Energy from the 4th dimensional quantum realms comes to us from deep within the higher reality microcosm.

It's not that Jesus is the sun, it's more that Jesus is aware that he is made of the same energy of the higher reality which in our realm comes out of the sun.

The ancient Egyptians knew this, which is why they revered the sun:

Heaven and the nature of God in ancient Egypt seemed to focus on the sun and in my own previous book entitled Light in the Darkness I attempted to demonstrate that the sun is an energy portal into the quantum subatomic realm to infinity and, to quote Buzz Lightyear, beyond. In his book Ancient Egypt, historian and Christian theologian George Rawlinson suggests that the Ancient Egyptians also had this view that the sun was a portal through which they passed in order to enter the next world:

“Thoth standing by the while, with a tablet in his hand, whereon to record the result. According to the side on which the balance inclined, Osiris, the president, delivered sentence. If the good deeds preponderated, the blessed soul was allowed to enter the "boat of the Sun," Aahlu (Elysium), to the "pools of peace"..”

Light comes from the 4th dimensional quantum realm.

Light is an elementary 'thing' neither wave nor particle but both. It has a 4d form which we cannot measure.

It exists outside of time since it travels at the speed of light when T= 0. Therefore it exists in eternity.

Light records information. Every second of creation is eternally captured in light which can never be destroyed.

Think of how we can watch movies using light, record videos and photographs, and this is only fairly rudimentary technology.... think of how much more is possible with light...... light has a permanent record of  every second of reality itself.

Therefore nothing in creation is ever lost, it just moves on but can be replayed, this is how memory works, you access the light memory and it plays out in your mind.

We are made of light.

Our souls are a form of EM energy (Light) which departs the body at death and then leaves this dimension and material world by hopefully reintegrating with the higher dimensional quantum realm of limitless energy.

You sound the same as me but perhaps different words. I also think Jesus was alluding to something higher, that we are and that the creator and sustainer of life is something higher than the Sun.

I too think of it as energy - energy cannot be created or destroyed only transformed. We are energy, our brain works on electrical impulses. I say when we die that energy is transformed, not destroyed. I liken it to buoyancy or more specifically resonance. When we die its like a balloon filled with helium, it will float up until it finds its corresponding density and then it will stay at that level. Well I think we are energy and that energy has a frequency and when you die, depending on the frequency of your vibration when you pass, dictates which heaven you enter.

According to Jesus - 'In my fathers house there are many mansions' meaning there is more than one heaven. How many? Well the Kabbalists have it there are 50 gates between us and the kingdom of heaven. And a mansion is a house with many rooms, say 20 or 30. If each gate is a gateway to another kingdom and each kingdom has 1 or more mansions in it then there could be at least 1000 heavens, each resonating at its own frequency and we will ascend to one of these 'mansions', our energy will find its corresponding resonant frequency and we will settle into that heaven. Like the balloon finding its equal density.

You call it 4D, well ok, it is another realm, can it be described as a 4th Dimension, well I don't know enough about that sort of Physics to comment but it seems as good a term, as any. It is another reality, it exists alongside our own, but it permeates our dimension, its separate and a part. So I don't know if its truly a 4th dimension as defined by science.

Quote

We are made of light.

And we are made o f stardust, we are quite amazing.

I think our future is among the stars, its a pity the church has held back scientific progress by hundreds of years and they are to an extent still doing it!! We should be spacefarers already.

To prove my point - the name Jesus Christ is a corruption of Latin and English. The 'US' denotes Latin. Jesus Christ in Latin is Jesus Christus. Hence to Anglicize the name we remove BOTH of the 'US' hence we get - Jes Christ.

What does that mean? Well there is no 'J' in Greek or Hebrew so the 'J' becomes an 'I' hence Ies, like we see in the Greek 'Iesous' the 'OUS' denotes Greek hence to reduce the word to its original form we lose the 'OUS' and are again left with 'Ies'

What does 'Ies' denote, breaking it down 'I' is the symbol for God, 'es' is the Phoenician word for Fire hence Jesus's name reduces to God of Fire, that is the Sun.

On top of this, Jesus' birthday is celebrated at the winter solstice when the Sun goes through a yearly transformation. Before the Sun rises on 25th December there can be seen 3 stars on the horizon who point to where the Sun will rise, hence the 3 kings herald the new king. When the Sun rises, at the same time on the Eastern horizon, the sign of Virgo can be seen, hence the Sun is born of a virgin having been resurrected after 3 days of death.

These two points, the name of the messiah reducing to 'God of Fire' and the fact that his birthday is celebrated at the winter solstice and incorporates the astrological events is absolute proof that Roman Christianity is based largely on Sun worship.

Christ Etymology2.jpg

They say the name Jesus came from Yeshua but according to scholars this is just a guess as it was a popular name at the time. We don not know his real name for certain.

 From Wiki -

Jesus (name)

Jesus (IPA: /ˈdʒiːzəs/) is a masculine given name derived from the name IESVS in Classical Latin, Iēsous (Greek: Ἰησοῦς), the Greek form of the Hebrew and Aramaic name Yeshua or Y'shua (Hebrew: ישוע‎).[1][2] As its roots lie in the name Yeshua/Y'shua, it is etymologically related to another biblical name, Joshua.[3]

Link - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_(name)

Once again we see 'IESVS' in Latin the 'VS' denoting classical Latin hence the root word was again 'IES' the 'V' becoming a 'U' when converted to English and again we see the Greek 'IESOUS' with once again the 'OUS' denoting Greek and the root word being 'IES' or 'I' and 'es'

This is the smoking gun and the above extracts from scholarly sources is confirmation of it, the name and the birthday, if you understand how to interpret them, gives the game away.

Having sought permission from the publishers of the Sacred Mushroom and the Cross to quote the book in this thread I only have permission to quote a few paragraphs, this isn't really enough to get the point across so I will quote one paragraph as I have the permission now and give a review of the book with some of the salient points.

Sacred Mushroom and the Cross

The Key Of The Kingdom

P46

Peter's name is an obvious play on the Semitic pitra "mushroom", and we have already seen that his patronymic, Bar-jonah, is really a fungus name cognate with Paeonia, the Holy Plant. Now called a 'Stumbling-block', he is given the tiqla, "bolt-mushroom" name, a theme which is repeated elsewhere in that over emphasised and completely misunderstood passage about having the keys of the kingdom.

"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven" (Mat 16:18)

The sacred fungus was the "bolt" or "key" which gave access to heaven and to hell, a double reference to its shape as a knobbed bolt for opening doors, and to its ability to open the way to new and exciting mystical experience.

End of quote

In the book John Allegro uses Etymology to forward an interpretation of the Bible texts. The premise goes like this, some early Pagan converts to Christianity continued secretly with their Pagan rituals and encoded into the Bible stories their secrets into the names of the  Biblical characters. This is recognised by sort of word-plays in the Bible. So for instance the verse 'Peter on this rock I will build my church', we have Peter - Petros and Rock - Petra, Petra and Petros which is simalar to Pitra the Sumerian word for 'Mushroom'

The magic mushroom, Amanita Muscaria, was also described as a 'Bolt' or 'Key' and compared to a Phallic symbol, 'erect' it also reminded the ancients of a ball and socket such as a hip joint or as sexual imagery for coitus - penetration. The mushroom cap was considered the canopy like the canopy of heaven and the stalk was the pillar of shaft holding up the canopy like sacred mountains were thought to hold up the sky. All the Sumerian words for 'erect' 'bolt' 'shaft' 'ball and socket' have been distorted slightly and inserted into the sacred texts.

The mushroom was magical to the ancients, firstly it grew very quickly usually after heavy rains with the accompanying thunder so was known as 'Sons of Thunder' and curiously to them the plant had no root nor was it born from a seed. Hence it seemed to appear magically after God has fertilised the land with rain. Then of course once ingested took the person on a magical journey and seemed to open up new worlds. Hence the fungus was revered as a sacred plant.

It seems the whole 'God is the Father' myth is based on Pagan superstition. The ancients new that male sperm was vital to fertilisation and viewed the rain that came as God' sperm, which fertilised the land and bought forth fruits and vegetation and allowed the animals to multiply, hence God became a 'He' and the Earth became a 'Mother'

This is just nonsense and can now be seen as Pagan superstition and discarded. God, if anything is beyond such labels however God being a timeless, eternal and infinite being.

As is the case in natural law, Its the female of the species which give birth, not the male, hence God is more likely to be a 'She' or even to have both male and female characteristics. . This is perhaps one instance when a 'literal' reading of the Bible actually reveals the truth. In Genesis it says God created man and woman in his image. It is therefore logical that God is a Hermaphrodite, and is both sexes, which is how 'he' was able to make both man and woman in his image. The Kabbalists will tell you God is both, I believe.

However the God of Genesis is Anthropomorphic and assumes a Human nature and of course we know now God is not an old man with a beard sitting atop a holy mountain. But maybe Genesis can be taken metaphorically.

The whole dying and resurrecting God is a play on Nature worship where the planets seems to die in winter and be reborn in spring, similar to Jesus's death and resurrection.

In asking for permission to post material from the book I entered into a conversation with the publishers. The publishers were originally known as Gnostic Media but they have now changed their name to Logos Media and they no longer support John Allegro's work. In fact the publishers now believe that this idea of Christianity being based on Paganism and Drug Cults is a Psyop by the CIA and MKUltra. I pointed out that these ideas were originally written in 1765 and then 1854 and again in the 1920's, all these books were written 20 - 100 - 200 years before the CIA was created so how can it be a CIA creation?

I don't think so, however it seems the publishers now consider anyone following these theories as someone pushing Satanic lies and of the Left Hand path and they themselves have had a complete change of heart.

One more note - the biggest opponent of John Allegro's work regarding the Mushroom and the Cross apparently never actually read the work and relied on personal attacks on John Allegro, however the man called Gordon Wasson eventually, in a later book, admitted that the depiction of the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden that Allegro claimed was an Aminita Muscaria or Fly Agaric magic mushroom was indeed a magic mushroom. So even John Allegro's fiercest critic had to eventually concede to some of Allegro's work. Its my understanding that since publishing other scholars have looked at the work and although they may not agree conclusively, they can't right off all the points John Allegro made. So it seems the work still stands in some scholarly circles.

George Wassoon is the the man that Logos Media now believe started the whole 'Jesus is a mushroom' psyop with MKUltra and the CIA, however G Wassoon originally decried John Allegro's book giving it negative publicity. It unlikely that hoping to start a psyop of this nature that when someone wrote a scholarly book on it that you would deny it and claim it as nonsense if that was the goal you was trying to achieve. People remember the sound bite news not the later retractal of the negative reaction. Doesn't stand up I'm afraid. The idea that Christianity is based on Paganism and Solar, Nature and Fertility cults can be traced back to the 1700's so is not a CIA psyop.

Logos Media website and disclaimer regarding the Sacred Mushroom and the Cross and an earlier book by Jan Irvin in support of the Sacred Mushroom -

Disclaimer: While I no longer consider that Logos (the Word, Truth, reason) came from drugs, these books are available for research purposes. Allegro's SMC is historical, and my book The Holy Mushroom became the foundation for exposing Gordon Wasson and the CIA's MKULTRA program as the psychedelic revolution. These books also reveal an inverted Dionysian mystery cult running parallel to Christianity that used the drugs to create the Fall, hence Genesis 3.

  • Grumpy Owl changed the title to The Keys To Religion

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven in front of people; for you do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to do so. (Mat 23:13)

I believe what I have done on this thread is show you the keys to all religion. They are based on nature, Solar, fertility and Drug cults. The stories and legends of the Bible make up the framework into which is woven Spiritual and Moral advice as well as other knowledge -

Mysticism
Astrology
Astronomy
Physiology
Psychology
Alchemy
Chakra

The stories are based on observance of nature and the ancient mind trying to make sense of his world as well as mystical experiences through psychoactive plants.

From these keys you can discern the true light and find the keys to the kingdom Jesus was speaking of.

Jesus is a parody on the Sun and the Magic Mushroom - Amanita Muscaria as well as a fertility symbol and his life, death and resurrection are symbolic of Nature and the dying and rebirth of the world through winter and into spring.

The keys have been unearthed by scholars who perhaps set out to disprove Christianity and through their Archaeological digs and new understanding of Ancient Languages have deciphered for us and shown us that Christianity is based on earlier writings, the Bible is NOT and original document, it is a rehash of older traditions and beliefs. Unpick these Pagan mystery cult teachings and what we are left with is the truth, spiritual truth. Unwittingly it seems the scholars have shown us the way and the Spiritualists have filled in the gaps.

The idea of God being 'The Father' is based on Pagan superstition or misunderstanding of nature. The rains that fell and seemed to revitalise the Earth were considered heavenly semen that fertilised the barren land after winter. Hence God was assumed to be Male and the Earth became Mother earth. It just pagan superstition and their trying to understand what they saw. Magic mushrooms were a wonder to them, they appeared after rainfall, the heavenly sperm, appeared within hours, did not come from a seed and had no root system. And then there  were the effects, mystical. They were know as 'The sons of thunder' because they often appeared after rainstorms and thunderstorms and though of as "Gods word made flesh" because they were thought to be born of the heavenly semen. Hence the fertility cult influence in Christianity and other religions.

God is eternal and infinite such a being is beyond our labels of Male and Female however if anything God is more likely to be Female as its the female of the species that gives birth and God gave birth to us. However it is far more likely that God is both male and female, a perfect being logically would be. This may be one of the occasions where taking the Bible literally may actually reveal the truth. It says in Genesis "God created man and woman in his image" well how could he make Men and Women in his image unless he was the image of a man and woman - a Hermaphrodite. The Kabbalists will tell you its true. But Genesis makes God anthropomorphic which God is not, just as the ancient Pagans took rain to be Heavenly Semen and hence God became a 'He' that sat atop a mountain somewhere and looked down on us and could be beguiled with singing and chanting and praying and sacrifices. All just Pagan superstition. That said I am not against praying and if you truly are in need they may be answered.

The spiritual truth I talk of, is in, for instance, the Sermon on the Mount. Resist not evil, Love thy neighbour, Judge not, and most importantly, treat everyone as you wish yourself to be treated - the maxim of all the Prophets, the only bit of advice you need to take away. Treat everyone as you yourself wish to be treated, if we did this we would have Heaven on earth, no more wars, crime, poverty. It is that simple.

What other truth is there, well you have a soul, there is a heaven, there is a God, it matters what you do down here, how you behave and even the thoughts you hold in your head, it all counts.

If you can abide by those guides and live like that, well then your doing very well. We will all go to Heaven apart from the bad souls who will end up being purified in a 'heaven' specifically designed for it, or they'll get stuck between this world and the next, but mostly you will all go to heaven and if you live your life particularly well you will go to a higher heaven, closer to God.

So it appears the Bible is a fictional story book/spellbook that uses Solar, Nature, Fertility and Drug cult mythology as a framework to convey Moral and Spiritual guidance encoded in Allegory and Parables of a fictional hero. In addition to this there is The literal, The allegorical, The moral, and The eschatological interpretations of the Bible. There is also Astrology,  biology, psychology, physiology, anatomy, and all the true sciences related to Cosmic Principles so says Hilton Hotema. And there are Buddhist teachings in there which originated from Hinduism and there is allegorical teachings regarding the raising of the Kundalini spirit.

But above all remember, it IS a spellbook, designed to brainwash you and make you submissive to authority, either spiritual or government.

So you see, so much is encoded in the Bible and in addition to this there is Gematria and other ways to read the Bible such as a political narrative as advanced by a professor whose name I cannot think of, an Australian lady if I remember correctly. Hence the Bible can be interpreted in a multitude of ways if you have the keys.

I recently consulted a Medium about this, I have been told that I have been guided to read these books by my spirit guide and that I am 'absolutely' on the right path. Obviously I didn't have time to go into what I had been reading so the lady may have a shock if I explain it to her, but hey ho and perhaps not. Apparently, according to the spirits, I am on the right path.

I give the information here freely because I don't think you should pay for spiritual guidance, spirituality should be free, hence my distaste for organised religions that amass wealth - by their fruits ye shall know them. If these churches gave away every penny they received I would be impressed but they don't and some Evangelists even have private jets as well as living in mansions!

If someone wants to charge you for spiritual advice - walk away, it is NOT spiritual. That includes the churches. Making donations to support institutions, well there's nothing wrong with that. Charging for hall hire for a meeting for example, is obviously acceptable but considering how rich the churches are, should be unnecessary.

The good life. What is it? Well we've been sold a vision of the good life by media and society. The good life is big houses, expensive cars, beautiful partners, constant holidays, fine clothes, food and wine, jewellery. Thats the vision of the good life we have been sold. But its fake, its not true.

How do we attain the good life, well we go out into the world and try our hardest and if we succeed we are rewarded with the prize. But this is all wrong and I'll explain why.

Where does this all start? It starts in school. When you were little and the teacher taught a lesson, if the person sitting next to you didn't understand it, you may be tempted to try and explain it to them. But the teacher seeing this would tell you to stop and explain if anyone doesn't understand it then they are to see the teacher after the lesson. We all know where that goes, the teacher is busy and wants to get through it quickly, they explain it the exact same way, the child still doesn't understand and goes home having failed the lesson. But this is good for the school. Its the sorting process, it weeds the weak out from the clever and pupils naturally fall into 'Grades' something the teachers expect and is good for the school, they need to have a few 'A' class students, a few 'middle of the road' and a one or two have failed because that falls into their statistical model nicely and everyone, government included is happy. The children learn to compete with each other rather than help each other and this is how you 'get on' in life. People are taught competition not teamwork.

So then you go out into the world with the mindset that you are in a competition, that its up to you to try your hardest on your own and succeed or fail by your own merits. If you succeed, its the good life, if you are mediocre, its middle class and comfortable for you and if you don't fit into society very well then its menial jobs for you and hey presto we have a society. Everyone toils at their own level and secretly competes with one another. And thus we are divided. They get you young.

The thing is, the maxim of the prophets, as Jesus said in the Sermon on the mount, is - to treat everyone as you wish your self to be treated. And you see thats exactly what the child originally tried to do, they tried to help their neighbour but were discouraged from doing so by the teacher. The child that needed the extra help was then left behind and fell into a lower category. By the time children leave school they are brainwashed into believing that they are in a race or competition with everyone else and hence if someone else fails then that is something to be pleased about because it means you may be doing better and hence winning the race.

If however, instead of competing we started helping each other, the game would change. You see, to treat everyone as you wish yourself to be treated is encouraging charity. Its not a great leap, if you walk down the road and see a homeless person who is hungry, if it was you, you would hope someone stopped and gave you a bit of cash, so if you are going to follow the maxim and treat everyone as you wish to be treated, then you will stop and offer any help you can. If everyone lived by the maxim then there would be no crime, no despotic rulers, no gloating billionaires hoarding their wealth because they 'won' the race.

The world won't change from the top down, those at the top have won the race so why should they share, we all had the same chances, they made it, we didn't, thats life. So no, the change won't come from the top down, it has to start at the bottom and work up until the billionaires are embarrassed by their wealth and want to be part of society where they feel included. The only way to do that will be to start behaving the way everyone else is and for everyone else to treat each other as they wish to be treated. Its a natural sorter, if I had a company I would allocate shares to each employee that stay with the post. Every year the employee's would get a share in the profits. It would encourage productivity and efficiency and loyalty. Employees would feel valued and rewarded for their extra efforts. Thats how I would want to be treated, so if I was in that position, thats how I would treat my employees. It works for murder - shall I murder someone? I would not want someone to murder me so no I won't murder. Shall I steal? Shall I be mean hearted? Shall I be angry and argumentative? Shall I be charitable? Treat everyone as you wish yourself to be treated. It is a true spiritual teaching because it works everywhere at any level. It forms part of the 'Golden thread of truth' that exists within the Bible and other religions. Most of the rest is window dressing.

So the truth is simple, the kingdom of heaven is within our reach, heaven on earth is achievable. We've been told, 2000 years ago we were told, and yet society has been deliberately designed to be the opposite, instead of us all helping each other we are all competing with each other. This leads to injustice's. Yet the schools and government are encouraging this mentality which is the opposite to the mentality we should be adopting.

It is Satanic. Its opposing the natural order of things, its makes us all adversaries to one another. Right from the start they get you, they program you to behave in a way that is not consistent with a spiritual life and they brainwash you to believe the good life is something it really isn't and you'll attain it if you deserve it. Where as the real spiritual life is found within, you already have it, you've just been trained to behave in a different way to the way you know in your heart is good and to aspire to a vision of achievement that is fake.

Treat everyone as you wish yourself to be treated, the maxim of the prophets. Live by that and we have heaven on earth. It is that simple. Religion is that simple.

Armageddon, being genocide, makes Jesus quite dark.

Strange that the bible has him saying he came to cure, not kill, meanwhile Christians pray for him to use a hell of a lot of killing.

As to your last, don't be foolish.

We are esoteric ecumenists and like Jesus, we meditate or fast.

More like the requirements Jesus speaks to in the following verses.

Modern Gnostic Christians name our god "I am", and yes, we do mean ourselves.

You are your controller. I am mine. You represent and present whatever mind picture you have of your God or ideal human, and so do I.

The name "I Am" you might see as meaning something like, --- I think I have grown up thanks to having forced my apotheosis through Gnosis and meditation and “I am”, represents the best rules and laws that we have found to live by.

In Gnostic Christianity, we follow the Christian tradition that Christians have forgotten that they are to do. That is, become brethren to Jesus.

That is why some say that the only good Christian is a Gnostic Christian.

Here is the real way to salvation that Jesus taught.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Allan Watts explain those quotes in detail.

Alan Watts - On The Book of Eli - YouTube

Joseph Campbell shows the same esoteric ecumenist idea in this link.

On Becoming an Adult - YouTube

The bible just plainly says to put away the things of children. The supernatural and literal reading of myths.

Gnosis enlightens adults.

I do not agree with your conclusion on justice, but you are bang on from a spiritual as well as political side.

If you look at the stats, if we cooperated, en mass, we could all live like millionaires.

Ask any statistician or demographer.

We are too big to fail to get to that position over time.

We could have it now, if such an idea had a champion.

Treat everyone as you wish yourself to be treated, the maxim of the prophets. Live by that and we have heaven on earth. It is that simple. Religion is that simple.

Whilst I have some sympathy with this philosophy, there are a couple of pitfalls I see with this approach.

Firstly, it does not necessarily account for how the recipient may wish to be treated, but rather assumes that we may all have the same, rather than individual, preferences and values. However, this criticism may be more an issue of semantics as, doubtless, we all naturally would like to be treated according to our own personal preferences and would afford this to any recipient.

Secondly, with its external focus, it relies on reciprocity to work on a wider scale whereby everyone has to adopt this mindset. Without full buy in and compliance from all, it leaves proponents potentially open to abuse.

The plandemic has shown how an (albeit manipulated) attitude of putting others before the self - donning masks and taking the vaccine for the "greater good" - can be damaging to both the individual and the collective.

To expand on this philosophy, we could, for counter-balance, also treat ourselves the way we wish to be treated which should allow for more personal responsibility, self respect and recognition of our own worth. At the root of many of our woes lies insecurity and fear-based thinking which gives rise to, in some, the desire to control others. Perhaps exercising self-compassion combined with deep internal self reflection and truly getting to know ourselves including our weaknesses and what we can and cannot accept, would provide a greater appreciation of self and help us to heal. And, out of that, should naturally flow a greater appreciation for others too.

The Masters Carpet
or
Masonry and Baal-Worship Identical

Reviewing the similarity between Masonry, Romanism and 'The Mysteries' and comparing the whole with the Bible.

By Edmond Ronayne, Pastmaster of Keystone Lodge, No 639, Chicago

1887

Preface

In all the most popular Manuals of Freemasonry and in its standard works of the highest authority and merit, there are four well authenticated claims set up on behalf of that institution, as follows:

1st. That it is a religious philosophy, or a system or religious science.
2nd. That it was REVIVED in its "present outward form" in 1717
3rd. That all its ceremonies, symbol, and the celebrated legend of Hiram in the Master Mason's degree, were directly borrowed from the "Ancient Mysteries," or the secret worship of Baal, Osiris or Tammuz, and
4th. That a strict obedience to its precepts and obligations is all that is necessary to free man from sin, and to secure for him a happy immortality.

The design of this work, then, is to discuss these claims in a clear simple and intelligible manner, and demonstrate beyond the possibility of dispute or doubt, on the part of any Freemason, that the Masonic system, as it exists today, is precisely the same religious philosophy, and the same form of secret worship, that used to be taught and practiced in honour of "the God of nature" in the old temples of paganism. All the proofs adduced to establish these facts are designedly drawn from the testimony of Masonry itself, and are so arranged as to be recognised at a glance, and must be found of great value for immediate reference in all possible discussions on this important subject. The work is also profusely illustrated - the interior of the Lodge, the position of its various officers, the ceremonies by which the candidate is made to pass, and the emblems and symbols of its different degrees, being accurately represented by wood engravings, specially prepared for this exposition, and passed upon by some of the former members of the order, while the legend of Osiris in the Egyptian Mysteries, and the celebrated legend of Hiram in the Masonic Mysteries, are compared with such minuteness of detail that none can fail to note their absolute identity.

This constitutes the real secrets of a Master Mason, and was never before alluded to by any seceder nor in any exposition of its pretended mysteries.

The unmistakeable coincidence between Masonry and Romanism is also set forth, and it demonstrates that both systems have sprung from the same pagan source - the one being the old pagan BEAST of Revelation and the other the Image of the Beast. Although I have been a member of the fraternity for a number of years, though I have been exalted to the highest office among my brethren in the lodge, and have received the unanimous plaudits of the Grand Lodge of Illinois, in 1872, yet accepting Gods Word as the rule of my faith and practice, I insist upon it that I have just as much right to secede from the institution of Freemasonry, and to cast of all allegiance to its extra judicial and iron clad oaths, its inhuman death penalties, and its anti-Christian and idolatrous worship as I had to secede from the idolatrous worship of Rome just thirty years ago. Acting upon this principle then, I claim that as a father, although a Freemason, is in duty bound to warn his son against affiliation with the Masonic institution, and in doing so, to give him a full exposition of its principles and philosophy. And hence the conversation between Mr Barton and Henry.

That in this manner I may be the humble means of liberating some of my former brothers from the despotism of the lodge, as well as saving others from its wicked entanglements, that through the instrumentality of this book the pure, spiritual, heartfelt worship of God through Christ may be better appreciated, and the redeemers name be glorified and exalted, is the sincere earnest prayer of the author.

So, Romanism or rather Catholicism has sprung from the same source as Freemasonry which are both Pagan in origin. Freemasonry is identified by this past Grandmaster as being BAAL worship as explained by the Rev Taylor earlier in this thread.

I'll recap - One of the secret names for God used by the Freemasons is "Jahbullon' as well as "Mah-Hah-Bone" the first refers to 3 deites - the trinity of 'Jah' Bull" and 'On' Baal is represented as a Bull - hence Bull is BAAL, and the other, Mah-Hah-Bone, may possibly be a corruption of the trinity of the Egyptians Ma-Ab-Ben, for mother, father son, this refers to Osiris, Isis and Horus. In the Egyptian Mysteries they had their Sun God and of course BAAL is represented with a Solar Disc between his horns and is a Sun God as well as a Storm god.

In the opening degree's of Masonry the Apprentice has to explain that all good lodges and churches should be built orientated East to West because thats the transit of the Sun. Hence Masons Lodges and Christians Churches are built to honour the Sun.

The Mason's also revere the "Golden Arch" this is the transit of the Sun as it rise, approaches midday and then sets, it transcribes and Arch = the Golden Arch.

When do the Chrtistians worship? On Sunday - the day of the Sun.
Where do they worship? In a church orientated East to West to follow the rising and setting of the Sun
Their saviours name, Jesus, reduces to, or rather means, 'God of Fire' the Pagan God of fire is the Sun.
In the Nag Hamandi texts Jesus says "I am the light above all living things, lift a rock and you will find me, split some wood and I will appear' What is the light above all living things? Its the Sun. What do you see that wasn't in the space before when you lift the rock? Light, light fills the space where the rock was until you lifted it. Jesus is telling you he is the Sun.

Christians celebrate their saviours birthday on the Winter solstice not Jesus' actual birthday which nobody knows, like his name, they don't actually know that either. So, even though Jesus, the son of God, foretold of his arrival by an Angel to Mary, the birth predicted and witnessed by three kings and announced to shepherds in the field - nobody knows the actual date. How, when so much warning was given and so much is known about the circumstance of his birth, can it be that they don't know his birthday! Or his actual name. This is the son of God, foretold by prophecy, announced by angels, the birth predicted and witnessed by Kings and yet no one knows his name or the date this well foretold event happened.

Then we have the Mason's, a supposed extension of Christianity. They call themselves the "Sons Of Light" just like the Egyptian initiates in the Egyptian Sun Cults did, they align their Lodges East to West to honour the Sun, just like the Pagans did, they worship the Golden Arch of the Sun and they hold that 'Natural Law' not Gods Law, is the highest law, just like the Pagans did, and they exclude any mention of Jesus in their religious ceremonies and prayers preferring to instead refer to Hiram Abiff and 'The Great Architect Of The Universe' but who is that Architect? And who is Hiram.

This book is freely available on the Masons website. It is written in an unorthordox style, it written as a discussion between father and son, albeit from a Past Grand Master who has left Freemasonry in disgust and his son has come to him to ask for advice on whether he should join. So its a weird read but it contains good information which will enlighten you to the roots of the Roman Catholicism version of Christianity and how it and Masonry are Pagan and anti creator God in their philosophies.

Quote -  The Masters Carpet

P195
Thus it will be observed that the Romish Church through one of the most honored of her deified saints, mutilates the Scriptures so as to reject Christ and substitute Mary, who occupies the same position in the pagan worship of Rome, that Venus Minerva, Isis, or Astarte, did in the pagan worship of the ancients, while Freemasonry mutilates the Scriptures in order to reject Christ from its prayers, and substitute Hiram Abiff, who is the Osiris, or Baal, or Jupiter, in the professedly pagan worship of the lodge.

End of quote

I hope you can see from the evidence presented in the thread see that Roman Christianity, and hence Church of England and other Christian denominations that follow the same doctrines as Rome, are an extension of Pagan Mystery Religions which worshipped Nature, the Sun and Fertility, as well as Psychedelic substances, and that Freemasonry is just a further extension of those same Mystery Religions, they also worship the Sun and hence are actually MORE deceived than the Christians, The Masons believe they hold secret divine truth but in fact they worship Nature, Baal and the Sun, while Christians have become Polytheists and also base their beliefs on Solar, Nature and even Fertility cult traditions.

Quote - The Masters Carpet

P227

In the "Lexicon Of Freemasonry," by Mackey, p.125 we read -
"Egyptian Mysteries. - Egypt was the cradle of the mysteries of paganism. At one time in possession of all the learning and religion that was to be found in the world, it extended into other nations the influence of its sacred rites, and its secret doctrines"

And in describing the "Mysteries" Dr. Mackey again says, on p.315 -

"This is the name given to those religious assemblies of the ancients, whose ceremonies were conducted in secret. whose doctrines were known only to thos who had obtained the right of knowledge by a previous initiation, and whose members were in possession of signs and tokens, by which they were enabled to recognize each other"

Is not this an exact description of Freemasonry?
Or could any language be employed to portray the Masonic system more accurately?

But again:-
"Warburton's definition of the 'Mysteries' was as follows. Each of the pagan gods had (besides the public and open) a secret worship paid unto him, to which none were admitted but those who had been selected by preparatory ceremonies, called INITIATION. This secret worship was termed the mysteries" (Divine Legation, vol.i, p.189)

"The most important of the mysteries were those of Mithras, celebrated in Persia; of Osiris and Isis, celebrated in Egypt; of Eleusis, instituted in Greece, and the Scandinavian and Druidical rites which were confined to the Gothic and Celtic tribes"

P228

And in further explaining the common origin of these mysteries and their identity in everything except in the name of the hero-god alone, the Masonic text-book relates:-

"Traditions of Freemasonry," p.233:-
"And the mysteries throughout the world were the same in substance, being derived from the same deities, though acknowledged under different appellations"

P235
Also in the "Traditions of Freemasonry" by Pierson, p.240 -
"The Masonic legend stands by itself, unsupported by history or other than its own traditions;
yet we readily recognize in Hiram Abiff the Osiris of the Egyptians, the Mithras of the Persians, the Bacchus of the Greeks, the Dionysius of the fraternity of the Artificers, and the Atys of the Phrygians, whose passion, death and ressurection were celebrated by these people respectively"

Passion, death and resurrection? Where have we heard that one before.

Do you see - even the most knowledgeable Freemasons of 100 years ago taught that their Craft is derived from Ancient Pagan Mysteries and are all based on dying and resurrecting gods and that they are taken from the same religious philosophies of the pagans and as Freemasonry is but an extension of Christianity which they also identify with a dying and resurrecting god, like Mithras and Osiris. The similarities between these deities and Jesus Christ have been shown by many in Zeitgeist for instance.

Hence it can be seen ALL religious worship stemmed from the same sources. Roman Christianity is no different.

For evidence of Fertility cult influence just read Genesis, specifically the 'Genealogies' I know they present them as a genealogical record but the truth is its just bragging about how many sons and daughters they had and how old they were when they had their last children. In the Pagan world you were blessed by God if you had numerous children, slaves and cattle. It was important for Patriarchs to be seen as strong and virile with lots of offspring because they were blessed by God and to continue having children until past the natural age meant you were wholly blessed by God throughout your life. The genealogies in Genesis 4, 5 11 are really just Fertility bragging and not Genealogies to satisfy and convert ancient pagan peoples..

This thread has presented evidence to show that Sun worship is existent within the Bible. It can be seen also that some Paganism was based on Nature and Baal worship and that has also seeped into Christianity with the Easter and Harvest festivals. Easter being explained away as Jesus' resurrection yet in the Pagan world Easter was the resurrection of the Earth, when spring bought everything back to life and the animals multiplied meaning hunting could resume.

In the ancient pagan mind the spring rains were thought to be God's sperm which fertilized the Earth and hence God became a 'He' and Earth became the 'Mother' this again has roots in Fertility cults. As John Allegro points out after the rains they found mushrooms had popped up miraculously. Miraculously, because they grew in such a short space of time and had no seed or root. The ancients understood for a living thing to grow it came from a seed so why no seed with mushrooms. Then when you eat them - wow! Big time spiritual experience. Hence these plants were gifts from the Gods allowing access to higher realms that miraculously appeared after God fertilized the Earth and gave them magical effects.

On another thread I have shown the possible link to Mithraism that Freemasonry has, I may try to replicate that knowledge here, but there are links between the early Scots and the Romans who carried with them the Mithra cult. They taught the religion to the Scotts who in turn incorporated it into Freemasonry. It has been shown by other authors the similarity between Mithra and Jesus as both Sun Gods, and Constantine incorporated Mithraism into Christianity to convert his Roman soldiers to his religion. So once again we see Roman Christianity and Freemasonry stem from the same ancient pagan sources as asserted by the author of this book - The Masters Carpet. And I contend and agree with the assertion as put forward by Reverend Robert Taylor in the Book the Devils Pulpit that the designations, 'Christian' 'Jew' 'Hebrew' and 'Mason' are just initiatory designations of the same Mystery Religion, they all worship the exact same thing in different guises with different levels of understanding but all of them are deceived, with the Masons being at the very highest of the deception.

Not all Paganism was bad, the Pythagoreans taught of the 'One God' and the existence of the Soul and its immortality which they got from the Egyptians.

The Druids who were perhaps not the Blood spilling types we have been led to believe converted willingly to Christianity, giving up their sacred groves for Rome to build churches on them as they recognized the teachings as being consistent with their own Pagan teachings. This is because Constantine took teachings from the Druids in the West and the Hindu's in the East, mashed them together, hung them around an historical character who was crucified and mixed in teachings from other teachers who themselves had taken their teachings from Pagan sources. Then Constantine had all the libraries burnt and temples destroyed to cover his deception.

We have archaeology know, we have the Rosetta stone, we have access to the original texts, we can dig up the ruins and see what was inscribed on them. We have the study of ancient languages and the science of etymology, we have the historical record and of course, we are 2000 years wiser now.

If you can see through the pagan superstitious nonsense, you can get to the truth.
