Symbolism In Entertainment & Art

The Statue of Liberty (the Baphomet connection)

In Lviv, Ukraine, a unique seated replica of the Statue of Liberty adorns the dome of the building at 15 Svobody Avenue, designed by architect Yuriy Zakharevych and sculpted by Leandro Marconi in 1891. This replica of Lady Liberty is accompained by owl symbolism. In his book ‘Apocalypse of Magdalene and Judas’, Igor Kryan states: “Lilith’s sacred animal is the owl, symbolizing wisdom and learning. Lilith is the liberator and light bearer, torch holder, and goddess of liberty”.

Lilith’s other names include Lilian, Lilius, Lilita, and Lilibet, to name a few. Her name, “Lilibet”, is phonetically and orthographically close to “Liberty” (Lilibet is essentially the same word as “Liberty”, just minus the y and r).

The famous occultist Aleister Crowley equated Baphomet to liberty through a complex chain of symbolic associations rooted in occult, astrological, and Kabbalistic traditions. In his Magick (Book 4), he stated that Baphomet “is Light; and his Zodiacal image is Capricornus, that leaping goat whose attribute is Liberty”. Here we see another connection to Lilith, as Lilith is explicitly equated to Baphomet on the 1896 Baphomet Sigil, created by French occultist Stanislas de Guaita.

Baphomet is sometimes represented as Lady Liberty in pop-culture (such as in the 2019 film-poster for ‘Hail Satan’), possibly hinting at a connection.

Lady Liberty has also been indirectly connected to the Biblical sea-monster Leviathan in art and books, such as Paul Auster’s 1992 novel ‘Leviathan’, and Leviathan’s name appears in Hebrew on the aforementioned Baphomet Sigil.

The Hendecagram symbol is relevant too, because the Hendecagram sits at the base of Lady Liberty and is linked to Lilith. The Hendecagram, an eleven-pointed star, is found at the base of the Statue of Liberty and has been associated by some with esoteric and occult symbolism. In Kabbalistic mysticism, the number eleven is often linked to the Qlippoth — the shadow side of the Tree of Life — as it represents a step beyond the divine order symbolized by ten (the ten Sephirot). Lilith is traditionally associated with the Qlippoth in Kabbalistic lore, seen as the ruler or personification of certain Qlippothic realms. Thus, by symbolic association — through the shared resonance of the number eleven — the Hendecagram can be interpreted as representing Lilith as well, suggesting a conceptual link between her and the occult symbolism some attribute to the Statue of Liberty’s base design.

Put the Hebrew name for Baphomet through the ATBASH cipher and you end up with “Sophia”, who some scholars, like Kathleen Granville Damiani, believe is a form of Lilith.

This might be why we see actors whose names are “Sophia” occasionally represent the Statue of Liberty.

The actor Sophia Lillis dressed up as the Statue of Liberty for 1883 magazine (her name seems to be a combo of “Sophia” and “Lilith”):

The actor Sophia Loren played a Lady Liberty character in the movie below (her name being Sophia like the Gnostic goddess):

The most revealing piece of information when it comes to knowing the identity of the Statue of Liberty is the plaque at its base which connects the statue to the “Mother of Exiles”, that harks back to Sophia and Lilith (with Lilith being “exiled” from Eden and demonized) and with Sophia even characterized as the “Mother of Exiles” by some authors, like Kathleen Granville Damiani.

Liber and the Octagon

Liber means "book" in Latin. This comes from the idea of a book being a scroll or manuscript, which was "free" (or "unbound") to be written and read. This sense of the word carries through into languages like English, where library and liberary are derived from the same root.

The base upon which the Statue of Liberty stands, located on Liberty Island in New York Harbour, is octagonal in shape. The design of the pedestal was created by the architect Richard Morris Hunt, and its octagonal form was likely a deliberate design choice?

The sequel, Paddington 2, severed its' ties with the studio co-founded by beleaguered Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein.

Paddington, the movie, was written and directed by Paul King, an English screenwriter and director. He directed all 20 episodes of the BBC surreal comedy series, The Mighty Boosh (2004–2007), and in 2005 he earned a British Academy Television Award nomination for Best New Director.

King graduated from St Catharine's College, Cambridge with first-class honours in English in 1999.[1] While at Cambridge he met Richard Ayoade (president of the Cambridge Footlights club), Matthew Holness and Alice Lowe, and went on to direct them at the Edinburgh Festival in "Garth Marenghi's FrightKnight" (nominated for the Perrier Award in 2000), and "Netherhead" (Perrier Award winner 2001). King worked as associate director on the subsequent TV transfer, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, a six-part series for Channel 4.

In 2002, King garnered another Perrier Award nomination for directing Noel Fielding's Edinburgh Festival show, "Voodoo Hedgehog".

King directed and co-wrote Wonka, a film which serves as a prequel to the Roald Dahl novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, exploring Willy Wonka's origins.[13]

There is an odd Peru connection:

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is a British horror parody television series created by Richard Ayoade and Matthew Holness for Channel 4. The show focuses on fictional horror author Garth Marenghi (played by Holness) and his publisher Dean Learner (played by Ayoade), characters who originated in the stage show Garth Marenghi's Fright Knight.

The series is presented as a special release of the fictional television series Darkplace. Within the reality of the show, Darkplace was produced in the 1980s for Channel 4, but never broadcast anywhere but Peru, eventually becoming a lost series.

The number 27

In the time travel sci-fi novel "The End of Eternity" (1955), by Isaac Asimov, a key character is 27 years old and a key event occurs in the 27th century.

(There are no major plot spoilers in this post).

Although Asimov was a Jewish atheist, he appeared to draw on Religious themes for his stories. For this story there are shades of the 'Adam and Eve' tale, IMO, with the 27 year old lady (Noÿs Lambent) being a sexy female 'Eve' character who causes trouble in a male-dominated 'paradise', aka "Eternity".

In the 27th century a timeless dimension ("Eternity") is entered by humans ('The Eternals') and becomes an HQ from where time travel can be planned and executed.

The original badge was silver background, red font, red boarder and red ribbon. The chromatic of red itself is sexually symbolic.

The official 'Jim'll Fix It' logo was a mixture of Red, Yellow and Blue.

The opening credits for his TV show had this logo. Again, red ring, with red/yellow and blue.
