if protesting a vaccine is necessary, then it must apply to all vaccines and not just the covid vaccine. The military requires 17 vaccinations upon entering so one more is just for the books. What is more important is recognizing what is truly a threat to your existence and what is imagination. We have been manipulated so much, it has become difficult to seperate real threats from imaginary ones. All conspiracy theories should be a good story until such time the actual proof is in front of you, then you might see it as a real threat. If you get angry and want to protest a conspiracy theory then it is most likely you have been manipulated by a good story.

I bet nobody added this.

"Beds Are Burning"

Out where the river broke
The blood-wood and the desert oak
Holden wrecks and boiling diesels
Steam in forty-five degrees

The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent
To pay our share

The time has come
A fact's a fact
It belongs to them
Let's give it back

How can we dance
When our earth is turning
How do we sleep
While our beds are burning

How can we dance
When our earth is turning
How do we sleep
While our beds are burning

The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent
Now to pay our share

Four wheels scare the cockatoos
From Kintore East to Yuendemu
The western desert lives and breathes
In forty-five degrees

The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent
To pay our share

The time has come
A fact's a fact
It belongs to them
Let's give it back

How can we dance
When our earth is turning
How do we sleep
While our beds are burning

How can we dance
When our earth is turning
How do we sleep
While our beds are burning

The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent now
To pay our share

The time has come
A fact's a fact
It belongs to them
We're gonna give it back

How can we dance
When our earth is turning
How do we sleep
While our beds are burning

The perfect song to use during an uprising or revolution.

For the pacifist or truther. WTFU!

Someone Always Hates Someone

Last night I shook hands with the devil
In a dream that I can never lose
He laughed when he saw me cryin'
At the pictures on the evening news
He said it's not really a dilemma
You're just a little out of touch
Don't think of the situation
'cause it'll make you think too much
Someone always hates someone
Someone always hates someone
Someone always sells a gun
'cause someone always hates someone
A child will be born tomorrow
As open as an empty cup
And we'll fill it with hope and sorrow
The very things that messed us up
We'll ask him to join the congregation
A hindu moslem christian or jew
Pretty soon he'll recognise his brothers
But soon he'll know the enemy too
Someone always hates someone
Someone always hates someone
Someone always buys a gun
'cause someone always hates someone
I died and I went to heaven
In a dream I never had before
A good friend who had gone before me
Had kindly left my name at the door
I looked on the face of the almighty
Couldn't help myself
I started to shout
How come you made a mess of things
How come you didn't work it out
He said
Someone always hates someone
Someone always hates someone
There's so much love for everyone
But someone always hates someone

I've written and recorded a few that would fit in this category. My music is over on Soundcloud as The King Kitty Band

A few of my ditties that could be considered "protest songs":

  • "Shakin' in Your Boots" - Written just as the Covidmania was starting to break and folks were beginning to wear mask and social distance themselves, prior to it being made mandatory. I saw folks lining up to get into a Trader Joe's, the first store in my area to mandate masking and social distancing. It pissed me off. I went home and wrote the lyrics as I sang them into the mic, without even thinking or writing them down.
  • "Everyone Burns" - Inspired by the BLM movement and the George Floyd incident. Another one I wrote the lyrics to as I sang them, from off the top of my head. I wrote it from the perspective of an individual, such as Floyd, with the opening lines, "Why does it seem like my life only matter when I get killed by a cop? And now to show me how much I really matter, the violence never stops. Hundreds dying out in the Windy City, and yet not one single tear. Why is it, I'm getting all your pity, when we die every year?" I recalled being a bit nervous about posting it, thinking I may face some backlash. Instead, all I got were crickets. Oh well.
  • "Ballad of Johnny" - This is the companion piece to "Everyone Burns", in that it was regarding the various ANTIFA/BLM "peaceful protest" that broke out a little while back. A simple little sing-a-long number (second verse, same as the first). I like for this one to be played right after "Everyone Burns", much like Led Zeppelin's  "Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid" used to be played on the ol' Classic Rock radio stations.
  • The Rise of the Sheep, Part 1 - Song by an angry mob of sheep rebelling against their keepers.
  • The Same Song and Dance - Though I'm in the US, I wrote this for the folks in the UK with regards to the NHS frontline workers who somehow managed to make TikTok videos while their hospitals were booked to capacity due to the global pandemic. Not sure many here in the States understand the lyrics about "clapping hands" and "banging pots & pans". Still, it has a good beat and you can dance to it, as they used to say on the old American Bandstand.
  • "Doom and Gloom" - My ode to mainstream media.
  • "Bakersfield, CA" - Not necessarily a protest song, but it focuses on the homeless situation in the US.

I'm not on any social media sites and I've deleted my YouTube page after several attempts from them to censor me and my music. So, I'm not looking nor expecting to get any "followers" from this post. All my songs are free to download over at Soundcloud, as well. Thanks for listening!

And now for something completely different; an man with three buttocks.

May be this should be merged with the  Music with an Anti Oppression, Anti-Acquiescence thread which was posted at around the same time (great minds)!

PS, I loved the video in that  thread:

speaking of land of confusion, heres a link to a great write up about how visual symbolism mingles with audio tunes/vibrations  as an effective mean to hypnotise the people ( land of confusion is mentioned)

"Temples of Syrinx"  (Rush-1976)                                         [syringe?]

We've taken care of everything
The words you hear
The songs you sing
The pictures that
Give pleasure to your eyes.

It's one for all
And all for one
We work together common sons
Never need to wonder
How or why.

We are the Priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers
Fill the hallowed halls.
We are the Priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life
Are held within our walls.

Look around this world we made
Equality our stock in trade
Come and join
The Brotherhood of Man
Oh what a nice contented world
Let the banners be unfurled
Hold the Red Star proudly
High in hand.

We are the Priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers
Fill the hallowed halls.
We are the Priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life
Are held within our walls.                                                  [their secret labratories?]
