@oddsnsods i meant like maybe merge ur findings here lol.

different members, we r going full circles finding similar things,
so i figure let me tag you here so we can merge stuff and perhaps find more clues as well,
having more eyes focused on the same content.

for example, this 2012 shirt u found in the movie , linked with the 2012 olympics ceremony...
very strange coincidence

Well the main similarity with that movie, is a dystopian Orwellian technocratic state with a Marxist insurgency fighting for immigrants set in 2027.

It's also mentioned by Michael Caine's character in this film about there having been a devastating flu pandemic a couple of years back. If the movie/book is set in 2027, I wonder if the time frame of said view would line up with the bad case of flu allegedly doing the rounds at the moment.

Where in the movie does he say that?

Nearish to the end in Jasper's house, I think just before the Fishes come. Theo is listening in on a conversation between Jasper, Pam Ferris' character and Kee(spelling?). They're talking about Theo's deceased son and it's alluded to that he, with many others, died in the flu pandemic.

I saw the film fairly recently and watched it several times before.

It really nailed how I think the southeast of the Uk would look in a dystopian future,  especially with the internment camp at the end. Definitely a film that resonated with me, and yes, I could imagine there would be heavy use of predictive programming in there too.

Wikipedia of the Novel "The Children Of Men":

Quote

The novel opens with the first entry in Theo's diary. It is the year 2021, but the novel's events have their origin in 1995, which is referred to as "Year Omega". In 1994, the sperm count of human males plummeted to zero, a feminist civil war broke out, and mankind now faces imminent extinction. The last people to be born are now called "Omegas". "A race apart", they enjoy various prerogatives. Theo writes that the last human being to be born on Earth has been killed in a pub brawl.

From Wikipedia:

Quote

Theo Faron, a former activist turned cynical bureaucrat, is kidnapped by the Fishes, a militant immigrants' rights group. They are led by Theo's estranged wife, Julian Taylor, from whom he separated after their son's death during a 2008 flu pandemic.
