How to delete account?

I'd like to delete my account, also. To preserve the content integrity of the site is a good reason to don't allow the users to do it by themselves, but the personal decision of deleting the account is more important. Each one must have their reasons, so don't tell «You don't have a real reason to delete your account». He who wants to delete his account is the only one who know and care the reasons. And the only one who can value them. Others easily can state "Your reason is sh*t". But still is the reason of the other.

Unfortunately, the dialog/debate style of this and any forum is ego-based. Not constructive, but competitive. I used to take part in Yahoo Answers in my 20s and was annoying as hell. 20 years after, nothing has changed in the forums. They are all the same. The fact this forum is called "David Icke Social", leads to an expectation the forum would be like reading his books. But no. Is more like the Y! Answers of 2000. Very few users seem to be interested in learning or sharing experiences. The main pose of most users is "I know more than you". Ok, I don't want to discuss, I want to leave. I don't want a profile here.

The inability of users to delete their accounts, is a parasitic behavior. What you post is property of the site, no more your work.  Facebook Style.

¿«Never log in again»?. ¡No! I want to go out and throw the key. It is the way me and I think others who want the deletion, would show the spirit we have when leaving: Discomfort.

I don't know which thread you have been reading but this is not my experience.

Why would anyone need to delete an account that they post in under a PSEUDONYM?

Fair enough, if you have been stupid enough to post under your own full name, but otherwise, who would be able to connect any of your posts with YOU personally?

Surely the secret intelligence agencies and even private hackers worth their salt can track us down these days with IP addresses, access to internet providers etc. And to set up a forum account you need as a minimum an email address, which these days have mobile phone numbers attached don't they? So they only need to hack into the user list to obtain all this information.

I use a VPN but more in hope than anything else.

That's true, but if we're talking about the intelligence agencies then yes, they will know the names, addresses, financial status, and preferred tinfoil hat suppliers of everyone in this forum so, in that case, were all at risk.

In my opinion, VPN's wouldn't even be allowed to exist if it was that easy to cover your arse!

We commoners have nowhere to hide.
