Don't know if anyone else has uttered these words, but, for me, it is one of the most important questions of human life....

 

TO KNOW THYSELF...

 

BE BRUTALLY HONEST WITH YOURSELF,

BE JUDGEMENTAL OF YOURSELF,

CHASTISE YOURSELF,

QUESTION YOURSELF,

BE ANGRY WITH YOURSELF,

AND THOU MIGHT KNOW THYSELF.

 

Squander self reflection...

And thou squander self.

γνῶθι σεαυτόν or "Know thyself" is probably the most famous of the Delphic maxims. It was first attributed to the Greek god, Apollo. Apollo was their god of music, harmony and light. γνῶθι σεαυτόν was carved into the entrance of the temple named for Apollo at Delphi, centuries before Christ.
