Avoiceinthecrowd
The ritual scenes in 'Eyes Wide Shut" ; The studios refused to let Kubrick include some things he had in mind to dramatize for us. In my experience it was never clear what the studios did not want us to see but what was shown in the end, regardless of the excluded material, was amazing and very tastefully presented. Sobering. All we can do is wonder what Kubrick fought so hard to try and tell us. Ridley Scott, on the other hand, tells us that you must let the viewer figure out some things on his own and resist the urge to explicitly elaborate every detail. In this respect Kubrick did an outstanding job with Eyes Wide Shut. What Kubrick was trying to do was reach beyond excellence. Dot some i's and cross some t's in a higher dimension. Avoiceinthecrowd
The end scenes truck crash in the movie White Line Fever (1975) The truck was called the Blue Mule. I never got around to it but I wanted to build the plastic model of that truck and mount it as it goes through the glass letters in a diarama. Still might do it time permitting. Avoiceinthecrowd
David Bowie as Andy Warhol in the movie Basquait. Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken and plenty of talent in this whacky but mostly eccentric film ;
Avoiceinthecrowd
Probably one of the most hilariously disgusting scenes ever to come out of those Hollywood studios...

Bob Odenkirk is also the star of 'Better Call Saul", a hit series about an unscrupulous but kind-hearted lawyer entangled in webs of organized cartel overlords but always eager to help a good cause. The writing is epic and held me through 6 exciting seasons. This series is known to be a spinoff of 'Breaking Bad', another blockbuster hit series where Odenkirk did his 'thing'.
