I remember wondering if both the directors of this movie suddenly turning trans and claiming the film is a metaphor for coming out as transexual (I don't believe it is btw) was some kind of punishment for some of the things that were in that first movie. Kind of like David Shayler the ex MI5 whistleblower who also suddenly turned trans after revealing some of the secrets of the intelligence agencies.
