Mr H
So I been saying for years "Sweet as". Occasionally completing the sentence "a nut" Today I pondered? Where the hell does that come from? Nutz aren't sweet?

Mr H
What do people think of people who use the word "parentheses" instead of brackets.?

For me either neutral or bitter or if sweet, at the lower end. I can think of sweeter things than nuts to complete the phrase sweet as a watermelon, or nana... Mr H
Random thought alert. Maybe just coincidence. But now tattoos are more common than breathing; tattoo ink contains carcinogens and substances that cause infertility. We have increases in both cancer & infertility..... 1

Avoiceinthecrowd
I knew a beekeeper suffering from arthritis. He claimed to feel great relief when the bees stung his hand. Something in the venom is a powerful anti-inflammatory.

Fluke
Didn't know where to post this as I'm not promoting his politics. Just thought I'd say the more I see of Charlie Kirk the more sad I get. He really was a genuine person. I was one of those people who were subscribed to him and saw him from time to time but never really followed him. I'm not a conservative I'm more right wing to be honest. This video for instance (I'm interested in the nonsense the young girl is spouting although I think even though she's a poison dartfrog type she's semi sentient and will hopefully become normal as she grows older) but the way Kirk actually tried to reach her, didn't try and humiliate her which he could have done and even stepped in when the crowd started heckling her. It's all so sad. I'm not angry at the people gloating I just don't see them as human. They've exposed themselves 100percent. I am not shilling for anyone. I just thought these were quite heartfelt, politics aside. Feel free to move this post to another topic, I don't want to clog up the general politics thread. RIP Charlie.
Fluke
Starting to agree with the idea that the whole love animals above humans thing is being pushed on the masses to cause lack of empathy. I know it's not a new idea, and my own feelings sometimes yeah I can kinda get why people would choose animals over humans especially the way some of them behave and most pet dogs etc don't ask for anything other than love. But I've been seeing a rise in social media posts regarding animals being abused or hurt and feeling worse than it was a human. Seems like a form of virtue signalling to me. And this is coming from someone who's worked with animals and loves animals.
