The March" described in 1990 a scenario as we are experiencing in 2016. "The March" - A visionary film from 1990 that seemed too realistic for Spanish television, and with good reason: "The March" described twenty-five years ago a scenario as we are now witnessing it in the Spanish exclaves in Morocco and not only in Spain, but in Calais, Idomeni and Greece - in Fortress Europe. "We come because we think you won't let us die if we come." The March is a film directed by David Wheatley about the pressure to emigrate from the developing world. The film was made in 1990 based on the novel by William Nicholson. He assumes an indefinite future in which large parts of Africa have become uninhabitable due to climate change and racial tensions have increased in Europe. We can't say we weren't warned. The dramatic images of African refugees coming from the poor south, storming the Spanish exclaves in Morocco in their thousands and throwing themselves en masse against the borders of the thinly fenced fortress of prosperity Europe. We've seen these pictures before. Back then, 25 years ago, ARD broadcast a television play produced by the BBC entitled “The March”, which tells of the departure of tens of thousands of desperate people from a Sudanese refugee camp. According to the invention, it has not rained in Ethiopia and Somalia, Chad and Sudan for five long years, and the aid from Europe and the United States has disappeared in the felt of the corrupt regimes of their African home countries. What the British author William Nicholson conjured up in 1990 in the screenplay for "The March" as a gloomy, biblically based "what if" vision has gained oppressive topicality today, only twenty years later. "Why are we treated like animals?" still exclaim today the refugees at the fence in Melilla /Spain. Also read: What a shame! Nobel Peace Prize winner EU with batons and tear gas against refugees The answer in "The March" is given by the leader of the refugees, El-Mahdi, in words that choke the viewer's throat. El-Mahdi replied to the EU mediators who were rushed to Africa to persuade the trek to turn back: “You have such small cats in Europe. They say a cat costs more than two hundred dollars a year. Let us come to Europe as your pets. We could drink milk, we could lick your hand. We could purr. And we're a lot cheaper to feed." 🙂

Sick of hearing that China is responsible for huge emissions while the UK are global leaders in cutting emissions.

The reason why the fucking UK and many other countries have low emissions is because they have all of their crap MADE IN CHINA!

If we were manufacturing our own products in our own countries then we too would have huge emissions and China's would be drastically reduced!

What a bunch of sly bastards we are.

Xhakas just come off. Have to wonder these days had to stop the game early on 3mins after kickoff...

Hopefully nothing serious. I'm thinking it's the pre-World Cup sniffles. Maddison 'limped off' early for Leicester, Ronaldo isn't playing at all this week, Sterling was left out today. There are probably other examples.
