The culprit was apparently on the terrorism list so high chance he was a migrant. Either that or he is a patsy (or both) who was lined up for a nice false flag at an appropriate time when a lot of stuff coming to light about the CV-19 and government are now in -fighting with MPs to maintain their control. It gets more bizarre, not only was he in custody, but now they are saying he was handcuffed when he shot the cop & himself. They wont release his name either, wonder why that is. After the shooting, the 23-year-old suspect is then thought to have shot himself. (How?) The suspect had initially been arrested for an alleged drugs offence and possession of ammunition. The shots were fired as officers prepared to search the suspect - who was still handcuffed - with a metal detector, according to watchdog the Independent Office for Police Conduct. (I've never heard of anyone being searched with a metal detector, in custody?) Separately, the IOPC is examining CCTV and police bodycam footage to establish how exactly the shootings took place. The watchdog said the suspect was in handcuffs during the incident, with his hands behind his back. He remains in a critical condition in hospital. Sir Peter Fahy, the former Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, told the BBC: "It's very callous and it's obviously going to cause a lot of fear for police officers. It's very upsetting for them as it makes them feel so vulnerable." (Better arm them then, eh?) He said the circumstances surrounding the death appeared to be "incredibly unusual", adding: "There are procedures of searching prisoners before they are taken to police station in vans or in cars, they're searched again when they get to police stations and there are additional procedures because of screening for Covid. Eltiona Skana, 30, had admitted the manslaughter of Emily Jones on the grounds of diminished responsibility. Skana, who has paranoid schizophrenia, had been on trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court after pleading not guilty to murder. Mr Justice Wall will sentence Skana for manslaughter on Tuesday. The jury had been directed to formally return a not guilty verdict. After hearing evidence from a consultant forensic psychiatrist treating Skana at high-security Rampton Hospital, Michael Brady QC, prosecuting, told the court there was no realistic prospect of a conviction on the murder charge. Skana came to the UK in 2014 and had been having injections of anti-psychotic drugs each month since 2017, the court heard. But she also told medics this medication had caused her mental health to deteriorate and she began taking tablets instead. When police raided her flat in Bolton, they found a stash of untaken, anti-psychotic drugs, which amounted to around a month's worth of medication. From mid-December of last year until March 11, the defendant had no face-to-face contact with her mental health workers, the jury heard. Earlier, in 2017, Skana had stabbed her own mother and in another incident attacked her sister and had been admitted to psychiatric hospitals three times.
