oz93666
This looks like a genuine accident , some fireworks initially went off in a wearhouse fire , then .... 2,700 tonnes of confiscated ammonium nitrate that were being stored in a warehouse at the port for six years Absolute insanity , ammonium nitrate (fertilizer) will explode by itself under extreme conditions .. to keep it there for 6 years was an accident waiting to happen ...Incompetent administrators ! Notice the explosion wave front looks like steam ( water vapor) it is mostly water that is released when it explodes .... not only can it be used as a component in explosives , but will explode with nothing added .... 2NH4NO3 → 2N2 + O2 + 4H2O. No knowing what else would have burned , this would account for the dark smoke ... looking at other clips the gasses and water/steam from the main blast seem to rise upward very rapidly , just as well , this clear gas cloud , high in oxygen would have turned any fires on the ground into infernos. Plenty of these ammonium nitrate explosions on Youtube ...here's one in Texas ... Edited August 5, 2020 by oz93666
rideforever
Yeah, 2750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate from a ship in 2014 ... looks like it was fertilizer on route to Africa, but the ship was not sea worthy. I think Beirut got off lightly, the first white blast had no material in it, but the red plume is where bits of rock when up with the energy and showered the area probably doing all the killing as it fell. The rectangular white building next to the blast was a grain store to unload ships. Could have been much worse. There have been a few such blasts, one in the the US with 2200 tonnes of Ammonium Nitrate about 600 dead, again in a port. Materialism plus incompetence. It is likely to be the largest ever non-nuclear explosion on the earth. Some sources are saying that the blast occurred at a port that contained fireworks. There aren't very many specific details being put out right now. Videos of the explosion are scattered across the media, links below: https://metro.co.uk/2020/08/04/multiple-explosions-seen-beirut-13083377/ Given the nature of this incident, there is much room for speculation. rideforever
Definitely not an ammo dump because the preceding fire which went on for some time did not have the sound of many explosions which is normal if you have shells detonating, each one makes a explosive sound, but the fire burned quietly ... then in the explosive blast again it was just one blast rather than many shells going off and the damage was very small for such a gigantic blast this is because the explosive was not contained in a shell it was open ... if it had been in a shell then half the country would have been destroyed. As for Ammonium Nitrate not being dangerous ...It's well known that a powerful shock can trigger it .... and fireworks are clearly seen in some footage ... For some reason many (mind controlled) politicians are saying this was an attack.

Sep 25, 2018 - Nortech Labs says ammonium nitrate is not flammable, but if put under extreme heat and pressure, can explode. rideforever
This world is full of people not taking responsibility. In the old days all businesses were owned by actual people so actual people were responsible for everything that happened and could be found at their homes and prosecuted. The corporate world seeks to distance owners from any responsibility so they can make dosh whilst other people are responsible except they are not responsible, for instance CEO's are legal obliged to do all actions inside a company in order to "increase shareholder wealth" and if the CEOs do not then they are prosecuted ... so the CEOs can simply blame the law forcing them to do things ... and so the CEOs ass is covered. What you then have is a business which can asset strip destroy the environment and whatever ... and nobody is responsible ... except the public who have to take action when something breaks down, like a ship full of explosives is abandoned .... except that the public, the judiciary, the civil service has zero idea what this ship is about ... it's not their business ... so then the civil service has no idea what to do and a few years later it blows up and the public has to pay. In the corporate world this is called Externalising Costs which means that you make billions and somebody else is forced to pay. Such is the evil of this economy. Evil to the core. The only real way to run an economy is to go back to the beginning with single person businesses with like A.Smith Fertilizer. That is the only way. Same bullshit happens in the NHS with the public forced to pay for this shit and then evil CEOs and Glaxo end up controlling the money. So nobody is in charge but the public is sucked dry. cue @kj35 ... . Edited August 5, 2020 by rideforever

rideforever
What's amazing is that the giant white grain store building is still standing today and so must have massively shielded the city from the blast in that direction ... very lucky, and very strong building. But that is astonishing. Its so hard to believe something like that could happen. If it was UK, it would finally show the Health and Safety Executive how powerless they really are. Worst outcome for the UK would be if they had investments in this port. It's looking more neglecting than terror. The compensation would obviously come out from our arses somehow! They don't even have the courtesy these days to phone up and admit responsibility. Expect Attenborough to give it the "Ah see, hottest temperatures in the yard exacerbated etc". And if above seems light, I'm really sorry for the casualties and the very least, it seems picking on considering the massive burdens they've already had put on them, but Aoun has got to go. (Hahaha, I even thought Bush Jnr should have resigned on 9/11 in my pre-Icke days!)

Lebanon is small and surrounded by other countries and the sea, it won't be hard to get grain. I don't like the way the news is trying to exaggerate it. In fact, just looking at the photos the country has got off very very lightly. 2,750,000 kg of fertilizer exploding and only 100 dead ... seems to be actually only the buildings in the immediate vicinity of the port damaged, very little. The first white blast was just wind and water, the second was mostly mud and some cranes from the port. The fertilizer was indeed stored in the part of the country where it would do least amount of damage, hell the roads round the port aren't even closed. And that 10 floor grain silo is still standing was right in front of the blast shielding 50% of the blast wave from the Lebanese, they should give the building a medal of honour. Very lucky, and in fact some good decisions in amongst the idiocy. Edited August 5, 2020 by rideforever
