Just hoping
I have often wondered about the former formula #one# legend Schumacher, and have failed to find any useful information on his health. I would imagine he would be quite altered by now, his body wasted, and mute etc. I would appreciate your thoughts also. Thanks x
bamboozooka
i ask myself is he worth more being kept alive than being dead? will there be an announcement once lewis wins 8 world titles?
Just hoping
If his body is beyond hope/recovery and if he is just existing, and has no quality of life or dignity, after years hidden from all, I feel sad for him, almost like he is trapped in his wasted body, I would pray for his release (death) to finally release his soul to a much much better dimension /place, poor man, all his vast wealth can not help him now.
Firebird
He was such an icon back in the day. I was in school and there was always this battle between Schumacher and Hakkinen fans. It's very sad what happened to him.

Anti Facts Sir
There was an announcement/update from his wife recently. Though nothing more than vague pronouncements. His son is now in F1 albeit with a team near the back of the grid. As for Lewis, will he win that 8th title? @DannyUK has posited earlier in the year that something would happen to Hamilton this season. Looks like it very nearly did on Sunday. bamboozooka
do you think they are trying to stop lewis beating his number of titles record? hes having one shit of a season after the last 8 years have been a stroll in the park. KissmeHardy
I could go onto beat every F1 record going - give me the next generation car and the technology to go with it - AND - more importantly give me 100 years to do it - You'll all see If Jim Clark was still alive and still racing - who is to know how many pole records would he have under his belt If Senna was still alive and still racing - Michael Schumacher would have been an 'also ran' and as for Hamilton - we probably would have never heard of him These SO-CALLED records [achievements] mean nothing unless your going to live and carry on racing forever > This is just to make my point < Schumacher may have won 100 races But - he did it in a 5000 Super Lotus with a turbo on each wheel and the latest jet engine behind him - and good on him Stirling Moss won 99 races - in his Lotus 98 normally aspirated engine Did Schumacher beat Stirling's record ? They're doing their best to unsettle him...Merc announcing that they're getting rid of his compliant/supportive team-mate, and bringing in the new kid on the block. Verstappen's always been a hot-head. He would take out his old Red bull team-mate numerous times. You wonder if it's going to end badly someday. But F1 is a bit of a joke...you can take a good driver in the worst car (George Russell, Williams), put him in the best car (Merc) and he'll win. Don't really see the point. bamboozooka
yep, the last driver to win the championship in not the best car on the grid was hamilton at mclaren in 2008. mercedes killed the sport off.
bamboozooka
i knew ppl who worked at the red bull factory and when they were winning everything they would give the workers £10k bonus each if they won the constructors and £10k each for the drivers championship. so that was 4 years of £20k bonuses. Anti Facts Sir
I'd never really thought about it, but kind of interesting that Merc came back into the sport from nowhere (was it 50 years away) and have essentially helped to kill it off. bamboozooka
when the 1.6 fiesta hybrids were brought in to f1, mercedes had a clause that any new engine manufacturers coming into the sport had to start at the beginning. meaning if honda decided to manufacture f1 engines 3 years into the hybrid era they are forced to stay 3 years development behind mercedes. new manufacturers could never catch up with mercedes engines, hence why red bull was no good with honda engines, and why mercedes were always 6-10 seconds ahead of the rest. Anti Facts Sir
I'm guessing by recent results that Red Bull and McLaren have caught up in the development wars.
bamboozooka
or mercedes have been told youre not winning anything this year. f1 can't have hamilton winning the championship with half a season left, not good for viewers. i think over the past 8 years mercedes get it in the bag then turn down the power dial on the pit wall to make it look like other teams are catching up. its like pre season testing, its all ferrari 2 secs faster than mercs, or red bull 3 secs faster, then first race mercedes lap everyone. turn up that power dial lol. KissmeHardy
With all this talk of 'world titles' and them unsettling Hamilton I have just been told - 'insider information' - but I really don't know whether it is genuine - That Hamiliton is purposely under performing in order to keep and attract more F1 supporters and keep the sport alive in it's future F1 mechanic - one of the back marker teams - based in Norfolk I'm keeping an open mind
Anti Facts Sir
Only 1 of 2 drivers are going to win this, so they keep it interesting either by: Hamilton breaking the record of title wins, with an 8th Max winning his first, and breaking the run of Merc since the Hybrid era began. This could feasibly be aided by Lewis underperforming on purpose. Either of Hamilton or Max have a fatal accident (I do not like even speculating on this, but after the last race.....) What else can keep the public bothered by the sport?
bamboozooka
or robot wolf has a big dial on the pit wall that he turns the power of the merc down or up. no one gives a shit anymore mercedes were allowed to kill the sport

They are a simplification of the hybrid engines, levelling the playing field for a new entrant competing with others who have been in the sport for decades VW has made it clear it will not enter F1 if the engines retain the MGU-H, because it would have been next to impossible for them to catch up to the levels of expertise built up over the past seven years by F1's current suppliers, Ferrari, Honda, Mercedes and Renault
Anti Facts Sir
Well if it wasn't clear before, it's now blatantly obvious. F1 is rigged. 2 drivers, after 21 rounds of going in circles on mainly Chinese and Arab racetracks, end up on exactly the same number of points. If that wasn't enough to make it look dodgy as fuck, the end of today's "finale" made sure both drivers were side by side with one lap to go. This isn't sport. It's a circus. And a shit one at that. That race back in the summer where they came out for a couple of laps behind a safety car just so it counted as a "race" was bad enough. But today they went too far. Anyone still under the impression that F1 has any merit or credibility as a sport is deluded. Fuck em. They can push the agenda, play nice for the gays, rake in the petrodollars, bend over for BLM, do whatever the hell they want. It's over.
